Finally! A great place for tacos. I have been in Bakersfield for a year and I am so glad that this…read moreplace popped up. This taco shop is run out of taco trucks and I go to the one on the corner of Comanche and Highway 178. They have two other locations available as well and have business cards with that information. The Carne Asada and Cabeza tacos are bomb! The Al Pastor is also very delicious and I've had all three in a taco, torta, or burrito, Their torta can be a little on the dry side so I recommend asking for extra mayonnaise. They do not put refried beans or any kind of bean on the torta, however you can request whole pinto beans, which is what they have. Their burrito is pretty good. It is fully loaded with rice, beans, meat, onions, cilantro, and whatever salsa you like. In addition if you would like extra meat they will do that for a fee. This place offers green and red salsas, and both are delicious. They also have a smoky salsa which is a little spicier. They serve a variety of soft drinks, including Mexican Coke, and aguas fresca. If you are a fan of the Cabeza tacos... I recommend you arrive early because they tend to sell out of that taco meat. Enjoy!

This seems to be the place. Photos of the food look the same although it is a different truck. The place at 178 and Alfred Harrell is so delicious! Handmade yellow corn tortillas. The meat is grilled on charcoal. And the flavors are amazing! Yum! Good attention to detail! Everything is fantastic! Thank you!

I have seen the truck for a while, just hadn't had the chance to stop in yet. Until today, now I'm…read moremadd I didn't stop sooner! We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi. ( saving you a little time here) So if you are looking for fantastic food, and want to support a VETERAN OWNED LOCAL BUSINESS! This is the place. Great food. Great service. Get down here already! P.S. I didn't take pictures of the food because I was Hungary. Next time!!!!
