The burrito was OK, but there is/was a hint of sweetness from somewhere, maybe the sauce? not sure! Anyhow, just as in 2020, I just longed for some regular traditional sauces/condiments for a pretty good burrito. I would give 2 stars for the food. The other star is for the staff, a very nice lady took the order, made change and brought the food to my table. The people working here seem to be enjoying themselves. Ambiance? A very unique spot, decorated by and for people under the influence?? Maybe, maybe not. But there was a lot of effort gone to making this taco spot different. I may try in another 6 years, maybe I bring my own sauces,

I ordered a simple asada burrito and the employee asked me "with everything" to which I replied, "yes". I then proceeded to order a drink. She then gave me my total of 4 dollar and some change. When I got to the window she was only going to give me a drink and I told her I had ordered a burrito. She then didn't give me a drink and said she would go get a burrito ready and continued to ask me if I wanted hot salsa which I said yes to and the lemon. I was baffled because she clearly repeated my order on the speak....mind blown. I'm waiting there in like what seemed forever to have a different person come back to the window to just give me the burrito and tell me have a nice day. I then told her I needed my drink, the salsa, and the lemon. By then I was so aggravated with the service. Also, I looked around to see if maybe they were super busy for their mistake and no they were NOT busy. On previous occasion, they forgot the added chicken in the pasta that I paid for extra. At a different location of theirs I had the same issue. They forget items in your orders. I'm not sure if they are just working too fast or on their phones or what!

We had a hard time finding it at first, but it's located in the parking lot of South Union Mini Mart. There's a lot of different taco trucks on Union, so make sure you don't pass this one up. Parking isn't really an issue, so don't worry about that. Staff is really nice. The first time we visited the young lady that took our order was very friendly and interactive. She had a nice warm personality so you feel welcomed when you visit. The owner, I didn't catch his name but he's literally cooking the food in the back. He's super friendly and also made us feel welcomed. Even though they are wayyyy out there on Union, they are the reason why people want to come back. Yes, food can be good at places, but if you have a good heart and personality then people can tell you're genuine. The first time we visited we were overwhelmed because we wanted to try EVERYTHING, I don't know what's my favorite item yet, but I'll let you guys know when I find out. Don't sleep on Taqueria El Jalisciense! I'm not a big fan of chicken tacos and I even loved those and I would get it again. If you're around the area and don't mind driving out to Union then this is the place. Give them a chance. P.S. they only take cash or Zelle so be prepared and they open in the evenings at 4pm-10pm. You better go before people start hearing about this place and the lines get too long. :-)

My tacos were missing the generous portions I've come to expect. It honestly seemed like there was only a couple of tablespoons of meat left, so it was split between both tacos. I almost couldn't see it on the second taco. I actually rolled the tacos up, and they looked more like barely filled taquitos than tacos. I'm genuinely confused about what's changed because these have always been my favorite tacos. I've given them several chances, hoping things would improve, but I think this may be my last visit.
