Delish!!! Was visiting from Arizona, and ended up visiting a second time at their Aurora x 105th location the following Saturday. They start setting up around 7/7:30pm, with a line usually forming. Loved the al pastor, lengua, suadero and cabeza. Tripe was good, large chunks; didn't really like the asada. Self-serve topping bar (onions, cucumbers, limes), and a great salsa selection (must get the dark brown "mole"). Tacos are best for trying different meats, while burritos and quesadillas are for once you hone in on a fave protein. Super efficient, delicious, and cheap.

I had the al pastor tacos, which were amazing! They let you pack up all the accoutrements you want, salsa, Pico de gallo, onion, cilantro, red onion/pineapple, lime, etc. They were conveniently located in the TJ Maxx lot, so plenty of parking. Easy to spot. Absolutely delicious and worth the wait. They were very efficient.

This booth is a hidden gem in Seattle. Don't be misled by its price!! This could be the best taco you had My first here left me pleasantly surprised. Not only did it offer a generous portion for its cost, but the bold flavors were simply incredible. They also have a self serve condiments bar for you to take. As a loyal weekly customer, I highly recommend trying this at least once in your lifetime They also serve quesadillas, tortas, and other food for you to explore. They open until 1AM. So whenever you have a late craving, this spot has got you covered.

Recommended. And very visited.

Highly recommended excellent taste. They put a lot of protein. Good attention. Good everything.

Tacos are $3 each!

Hands down the best Mexican food I've had in Seattle. The queues are long, but it's so worth the wait. The food is really fresh, and the flavors are perfect. This is California-quality comida, and I think everyone needs to try it out so they can understand what they're missing at the other places around town. Their prices are also very fair and the portions are substantial.

This place is fire! It is a little walk up deal, cash only. Everything is reasonably priced for what you get.

Best trompo I've seen in Seattle, great prices! House made sauces, go for habanero if you like it spicy! They do quesadillas

Aurora Ave is well-known for its plethora of Mexican food trucks (at least to me, what did YOU…read morethink it was known for?) El Camión stacks up with the best of 'em. Which is good, because you can't feasibly name your food truck "The Truck" if your food is trash. We were famished, so my dog and I were on a late night hunt for an Absolute Unit-Rito. Something that would take an army to demolish. After a disappointing realization that one of my favorite spots was closed for the night, little did I know that the stars were aligning for a real Guac-Ness Monster that was headed my way. I think that one of the truly special things about El Camión is that it's in the Home Depot parking lot. What's better than taking in the aura of home improvement before smashing some tacos? Let's get to the food here. I knew I was getting a burrito, but what type? It turns out that El Camión is serving up cochinita pibil, which is a rarity in Seattle, so I had to give it a try. They will also LOAD up your burrito with vegetables for $2. And I'm not talking about some skimpy little vegetables. We had some thick slices of peppers, onions, and even squash. This made me feel a liiiiiiittle better about the long term health effects of my burrito obsession. This may have been one of the heftiest lads I've ever encountered on my lifelong apprenticeship of burrito studies. If I could give you one piece of advice here, do NOT operate heavy machinery while eating this. It's meant to be enjoyed while sitting down. But what the meal lacks in structural integrity, it makes up for in flavor. As a sauce-boi, I applaud El Camión for their variety of salsas. This is completely necessary on a burrito of this size to cut through all of the fat. Major props to The Truck. Stop here after you get your new light fixtures for a good time.

Our office gets a list of the weekly offerings on Monday, so when I heard that later in the week there would be Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen, bringing Filipino food, I most definitely made lunch plans. I was coming in from a meeting in Fremont, so didn't go to the pop-up/Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen as soon as it started service (around 11am). With that said, I nearly missed out on the chicken adobo! I took the last of the chicken adobo an hour and a half after the lunch service started, so was counting my blessings! I ordered the lunch plate, which came with chicken adobo, pancit, rice and pickled veggies. My lunch plate was solid. Chicken adobo was tender and really, really liked how vinegar-y the flavor was, which, any Filipino would tell you that all food tastes better with vinegar! Pancit wasn't bad, but not the best. Some of the noodles were on the dry side, but I did like the cabbage and green onion throughout. Pickled veggies were a nice addition, adding more sour flavor to the overall entree. For someone who hardly ever has Filipino food and desperately misses mom's cooking, I was just happy to have Salu-Salo bring some adobo to the area. I would definitely recommend checking out Salu-Salo if you ever see their stand around. They don't update their social media channels, unfortunately, so is a little difficult to find where their stand will be. And when I asked if they participate in any markets, they do not. But the owners did mention that they visit downtown Seattle often at other office buildings around. Therefore, I have a feeling I'll be seeing them soon and getting my Filipino cuisine on. (Plus, bonus points for the owner being from the Bicol region of the Philippines, which is where my mom's side is from. Love that!)

Salu-Salo offers a wide variety of dishes with unique flavor profiles. With some of the dishes, I can't compare them to anything I have ever tried before. For example, my favorite dish on the menu is the Laing Express, which is made with coconut milk, taro leaves, topped with a delicious crispy piece of pork belly. With a topping of pork belly, how could anything go wrong? This dish has an amazing earthy flavor, with a bit of a kick to it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. How often to you get to eat purple desserts? Ube cake gets its color from purple yams! Salu-Salo's ube coconut topped ube cheesecake balls are not just adorable, they are addicting. Not overwhelmingly sweet, and perfect for sharing, these are a treat. For those with dietary restrictions, Salu-Salo is a great option because there are plenty choices. As someone who is gluten free, all of the main dishes are fair game. This is often very rare when dining out for me!! Here's to Salu-Salo for exposing Seattleites to what Filipino food is all about. Rosario's cuisine feels like a healthy take on comfort food. Each dish bursting with flavor, yet still accessible to all ages. The idea behind comfort food is all about the thought that goes into the prep. After tasting Salu-Salo's food, I promise you can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation of each dish. I am looking forward to this becoming a Seattle institution, and hope it inspires more Filipino cuisine to start popping up in the PNW.

Several different options with hotdogs and polish sausage- my absolute favorites are the Seattle Dog and the Midnight Sophie. Whichever you choose- don't forget to ask for some of their homemade slaw to top that beautiful dog! I first found Secret Sausage outside the Owl and Thistle in Pioneer Square. Then outside the Clink after a game. It was an elusive Seattle street food treat- and in a lot of ways still is. They've expanded in recent years so sometimes you can find them at Microsoft campuses on occasion too. But I'll let you in on a little secret... they have a deal with the Thunderbird Tavern in Ballard. So if you're craving a Seattle Dog on a random Tuesday at 8:30pm for example... high tail it to the Thunderbird and get you one! Especially on a warm Summer evening: a Seattle dog with extra slaw, a glass of your favorite cold drink and a spot on the back patio - doesn't that sound so good right now?! Another favorite with Secret Sausage is The Firlander Sauce. While I personally am not a big fan of hot sauce, this spicy condiment has been a staple in our family for several years now. I've been told it makes a good gourmet hotdog over-the-top good! Ha! So if you're a hot sauce fan- it's a must try. Locally owned small business with a commitment to quality. Every hotdog I've ever had from them (ahem, and there have been a few over the years,) has been consistently good. Seriously, the best!
