Craving some good old fashioned food truck food, I bought a carne asada burrito and Al pastor burrito. Surprisingly, there was already a small line going on at the truck around 6:20 pm on a Thursday. They were very generous in giving limes, turnips and pickled cucumber/red onions (btw, were SUPER spicy)! I loved their salsa bar and each salsa had a different tier of spice. The light green (avocado like) sauce had no spice and the green salsa had a moderate spicy to it. The red salsa was a more spicy than the green and finally the lightest red salsa was ridiculously spicy (at least for my sad taste buds). The burritos themselves were filled to the brim with beans, rice, onion. It was a very solid hearty dinner and I would definitely go again to get my Mexican fix! read more

All I have to tell people is that it has been a minute since I have found a taco spot where all the flavor comes from the meat and the garnishments of drizzle lime, sprinkle of cilantro and onions and a few drops of salsa make this street tacos WAKE up taste buds you don't know you have. Their food is delicious. Typically I struggle trying new places because more often than I'd like I get food that is over cooked, dry/chewy, under seasoned, cold, etc... (I travel a lot and eat out often). Tacos El Pollo was definitely a jackpot. I got al pastor tacos which had great flavor and the meat was juicy and tasted fresh. True, I first gave tacos el pollo a few months ago a 5star rating, but now 1Star. .they USED TO be great, but..the Downfall started when I received chewy fatty carnivals tacos. But the last straw was when tge gave rude service last time the family and I went. They mixed up my party's order. Gave tacos to wrong person. When we brought it to their attention the said "too bad, we can't fix it. Pay them again to make new ones, they don't want to lose money". Off of 2 tacos? They'll lose money to redo 2 tacos? What! Stopped here for an after bar snack on the way back to a friend's house. They have tacos, burritos, tortas and quesadillas and can make them with a variety of meat choices. It had the regular ones like Carne Asada, pollo, chorizo, carnitas, and pastor as well as things that are a little bit out if my comfort zone like cabeza, lengua, and tripe. It's $1.25 per taco and I got two Asada tacos with cheese. The meat is diced really small and it was a small portion but reasonable. After all, they are $1.25. They put some of the other toppings out for you to help yourself like sauces, limes, and a cucumber, pepper onion mix my friends really liked. My favorite item was the chicken quesadilla. If I end up back there I will definitely try one of the meats in quesadilla form. read more

I've had better tacos, but I respect that they use fresh ingredients. The quality of the carne asada isn't the greatest, and the tripa did not tickle my fancy like other places. Al Pastor and Chicken were decent. The habanero salsa that they created was fireeeee... The avocado sauce was great, but their salsa roja lacked some flavor to it. At $1.50 per taco it's about a quarter more than I typically like to spend but at least I enjoyed it. I tried the lengua, carne asada, el pastor and carnitas. Of those four I enjoyed the lengua the most but it's also the most expensive at $1.75. My next favorite was the el pastor, carne asada then carnitas. The lengua is super juicy and tender. The pastor, while not the best was also juicy compared to the the asada and carnitas. The asada actually had more flavor but was more dry. The carnitas is really tender but a bit salty. What made their tacos taste very good was the sauce. I just loved their green sauce combined with their avocado sauce. There are a bit of seating located next to the taco truck. This food truck is one of the best I've been near my area. I love getting their tripas, lengua and carnitas tacos. If you need a quick fix of tacos, this is the place to go in Pasadena. I like the idea they have their condiments ready in a table in front of their truck for the customers but I find it a bit unsanitary. Anyhow, they have good tacos. This is our go to taco truck! Just a few blocks down the street and plenty of parking I would say. Located besides DMV pasadena just in case you couldnt find the address on your gps. My favorite from this truck is the buche taco! Lengua Quesadillas is another option as well to try. Pastor and Asada is a must. Get their $1.50 horchata and refill it for $0.50, rather than the large size for $3 LOL. I hear their pollo is pretty good , I will give it a try on our next visit. I ordered from ubereats. I ordered nachos but I requested "no nacho cheese, please us quesadilla cheese." Not done ! Nacho cheese was used and a lot of it! It is so salty, it's inedible, waste of money. Quesadilla was ok ,nothing special. Cucumbers & radishes were added, the cucumbers were soggy though. MY FAVORITE TACO TRUCK!!!! I always come back to this location, because after trying two different trucks, both of them have disappointed me but not this one! The meat is juicy and marinated - not dry like some places. We always get their tacos (all the meats are +++) and sometimes their asada burrito (no one does it like them!) because even the rice is good! The sauces pair very well with the tacos (we always get green and guac) and they're always very nice with giving out onions/cilantro etc. Their Horchata is $1.50 and .50 to refill - my only complaint is sometimes the Horchata is way too cinnamon-y and tastes chalky and gets stuck in your throats but aside from that, it's heaven in a cup paired with your tacos or burritos (or whatever you choose to get!). There's always people here no matter what time I go - I've gotten in for dinner or at 1am, quality is always the same! Definitely my favorite taco truck so far :) read more

This place is opened late and serves amazing food. I am very picky about Mexican food and do not get impressed by just eating meat on tortilla. I pay attention to the taste of the meat and other ingredients they include with their tacos, tortas, burritos, etc. We ordered 5 tacos de carne asada and 5 tacos de pollo with a horchata to drink They had tubs of salsa, onions, cilantro, and other fixings right outside the taco truck. I noticed that their green sauce was used the most so I took about 3 little cups of it. We took the food home and as we opened up the foil, steam was still coming out. It's decent if you compare it to most taco trucks around the area, but I rather have la Dona or el taco taco. To begin with, the carne asada is mostly fat and they'll either charge you an extra dollar without you knowing unless you do the math or somehow screw your order up. I ordered the burrito carne Asada, was dry and very salty which tells me this meat wasn't fresh. No red salsa and what salsa they did have was watery with no flavor mild at best.
