This was a really disappointing experience from start to finish. The margarita was the worst I've ever had--it tasted like straight sugar cane with no balance at all. I let the waitress know I was unhappy with it, and she could clearly see that I barely touched it, yet I was still charged for it. The food was just as bad--greasy, heavy, and honestly disgusting. I felt sick to my stomach shortly after eating, which is never a good sign. I am very disappointed with this place. The chips definitely did not taste like they were made there at the restaurant. Tasted like they came out of a bag. The salsa tasted canned. I assume they used canned tomato sauce or paste something and then just added fresh onions and cilantro The guac was good had Jalapenos and cilantro in it. The fish tacos were tilapia. It has a "mom and pop" feel to it; it's the kind of place where the staff members know each other well, and there's a 14-year-old kid behind the register. What aren't average are the restaurant's tacos. While they have a solid menu of other Mexican favorites, I only dine here when I want their namesake item. Tacos A La Diabla has many tacos on their menu, but I enjoy the ones from the "La Diabla" menu, as they are quite spicy. If you have a sissified tongue, ask for the sauce on the side - or just stick to the regular menu. I like pork in my tacos, and the three best are the carnitas, the chorizo, and tacos de pastor. The steak tacos were nasty. The quality of the meat was low. It was full of fatty/ligament pieces. They are very stingy with the salsa verde also. I made my order through door dash which I do not believe should mean that the quality standard of their food should be lower. I ordered the rice with shrimp and they did not clean the shrimp right. Talk about Taco Tuesday! I stumbled upon this place after a long day of work and a severe case of hangriness. It's your average Mexican spot when you walk in. I was greeted with a smile and a bowl of chips and salsa. The salsa was really good and had a nice chipotle flavor. I went through two bowls of that in no time! The specials for the day were 3 tacos for $5.99. I had my choice of chicken, steak, pork, and marinated pork. I went with the steak tacos with the traditional toppings of cilantro and onion and asked for avocado slices in the side. The only part I didn't like about this deal was that you aren't allowed to mix and match. But I got over that the moment I bit into one of my tacos. The steak was perfectly seasoned and so tender. With a quick call, I was able to order 4 steak tacos with extra green sauce ofc ! 10 mins later, I rolled in and a sweet lady brought us the delicious tacos . Gosh they were good. This gem, I had driven past so many times and had never given it a second thought. Finally one day a co worker told me that it was one of her husbands favorite places because of its authentic taste. Now I'm a regular, the menu is large and it has all your typical Mexican style choices.. but my go to are the tacos. They come in groups of three and I get them with corn tortillas cilantro and onion then you can choose from a variety of meats or fish. Make sure you ask for the green and orange sauces. I went to get nachos up the street from Qdoba but they closed early for some reason but "everything happens for a reason" so I could try this new Delish pleasure. They are located in a plaza on east Washington street heading towards downtown on the left. The windows are tinted like a bar or dispensary but their name is on the glass. The menu is loaded with lots of options to choose from to make your belly happy including options for my veggies :) Everything is cheap in cost and definitely worth the meal. I got the vegetarian E option which had a cheese quesadilla, cheese enchiladas and bean burrito. The cheese was light which I was shocked because I'm lactose intolerant but to the point cheese doesn't bother me as much as other dairy products, their cheese didn't bother me or cause discomfort which is boss! Everything was bomb ass including their damn chips and salsa! Ugh please just please don't change a thing. Crispy and fresh, authentic and light so damn good! Only thing I would say is make the vegetarian portions just as big as non-vegetarian meals. My entire meal was skinny if you will. I was hoping for a big burrito or at least a thicker quesadilla. I had their chimichangas and steak taco. They were both really good. Meat was seasoned well. On the taco you do have to add lettuce and tomato and sour cream and cheese as extra though. I loved the chimichanga the best! My only complaint was the salsa though. It did leave a weird after taste in my mouth. Other than that it was all good. read more

I ordered the Texas Fajitas, mi co-worker ordered Asada torta sandwich, a large guacamole and two medium margaritas. Less than a mile off exit 46 on 465, this was a quick and easy stop for something better than a drive thru for sure. Very typical fare and prices, nothing fancy but the salsa was apicy, the chips were warm and the staff was super friendly. Pacifico, Coors Light, Modelo, Dos Equis, and Blue Moon on tap. Margaritas and bottled beer options as well. The street tacos were classic with cilantro and onions. We tried am pastor (which we order everywhere), chicken, steak, de labio, and one carnitas a la diabla (spicier than the regular tacos). Chips, drinks and tacos for both of us for $15. The green is good and has a little heat. The red is straight fire. I like spicy food, but it can be over powering. They have regular tacos and Diablo tacos and this is the sauce they put on the Diablo tacos. So if you like things that make your eyes water, mouth burn then go ahead and get the Diablo. I will say even with the heat, the food always has flavor. So with the 6tacos, my wife's main dish and 2 sodas it was only $20...cant beat that. I posted pictures of what we had. This place is cuter in the inside than it looks on the strip mall outside. I was liking that. I ordered a Modelo (beer) in the bottle, and it was very cold. To top it off, they gave me a chilled mug. They were hooking me! Then the food came. Total letdown. My girl had juevos rancheros, and the yolks were cooked hard and dry. Who does that? My number one judgement of a place, the beans, were watery and runny. This is bad. I had an enchilada that had something like mole sauce over it, but it had cinnamon in it. Didn't care for that. This is my new go to Mexican place. We had the bean dip, which was just bean dip and cheese dip mixed. It was so good though. The chips are made in house and are nice and warm when you get them at your table. The salsa tastes fresh. I had the lunch special, which was 3 pork tacos. They had corn tortillas (my fave) and were topped with cilantro and onion. They also provide a red sauce and green sauce to top off your tacos with. The red sauce was pretty hot, so I opted to use the green sauce. It was amazing on top of my pork tacos. The pork was so tender and so filling. They do not skimp on the fillings at all. My husband and I both had the tacos and bean dip for lunch and everything all together was under $20! A strip mall restaurant that is above average. This place has been empty the times I've been there but it seems to have a steady stream of business. It may be packed other times or on the weekend but if you visit mid-week you'll probably have the place to yourself. Right off the 465 and East Washington exit, it's next to the Dollar General, Radio Shack, nail place etc. Service has always been pleasant and quick, the kitchen has likewise been fast at getting food to the table..alas if you're the only customer one would hope for that. I was so pumped to head to this new taco place after reading such great reviews about them online! We called in our order she said it would take about 10-15 minutes. The restaurant is a tad bit narrow but is decorated nicely and looks pretty updated. They had a wide variety of Jarritos so we tried a new one called Jamaica, smelled a little spicy but was a lot more sweet than we thought it would be. It wasn't bad but we also would not buy it again if that's any constellation. We ordered a total of 7 tacos. Two al pastor and five carne asada all no onion add cheese with cilantro on corn tortillas. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use but typically the cheese does not melt well. The cheese did not melt well this time around either and it was very creamy and mild in taste. Both the al pastor and the carne asada had more gristle than meat. They have green and red sauce, the green came highly recommended so we asked for more of that sauce than the other. It was very liquidy in consistency and was super hot! The red sauce was spicy but not as flavorful. We'll probably be back to try the bean dip as we hear that it is fantastic, so hopefully it is! read more
