    Tacos al pastor

This is our absolute favorite taco spot in town. Staff is friendly and know our order by heart, and the food is always hot, fresh, and there is plenty of meat on the tacos. I love the toppings bar! I usually order the Al Pastor, which is juicy and flavorful, my boyfriend is hooked on the carne asada, and we of course get a cold modelo.

Great service, very clean, great salsa bar! Would visit again. I ordered the cheese quesadilla. It was ok, but that's my fault for ordering a cheese quesadilla! The steak tacos my friend had and the steak burrito I took home for my husband were both reported as being very good.

Literally stop what you are doing right now, and run to Chilangos. I stopped in here on a recommendation from a colleague and grabbed some tacos to-go. I'm always a little bit careful the first time I try a place and now that I have devoured both of my tacos I wish I wasn't like that because I want more! I ordered a steak and chicken taco with cheese and sour cream for carry out. They were amazing!!! Stuffed to the max with flavorful, hot, meat. The cheese and the (homemade?) sour cream melded deliciously together like a hot gooey cheese sauce. To top that, there's a fresh toppings bar with things like cucumbers, pico, and several salsas. You guys, there is a guacamole sauce on this bar that I would eat on a shoe. It's like taking an avocado, cilantro, jalapeño grenade to the face! In the most wonderful way possible of course. The service was great too! The helpful younger guy (so sorry, I didn't catch his name) helped me with the sauces on the bar. This is also a grocery store so while I was waiting on my food I grabbed some chicharrones and some Takis hot peanuts. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! I will definitely be stopping here every time I'm on this side of town.

Found this spot after looking for Mexican food near the Airbnb I stayed in. We sat down wherever we pleased and the waitress came quickly to get out order. She recommended the days specials. But we were craving other options. The food was good as far as taste size and temperature. It is together with the small market and the bar also. Price was fair similar to other places.

Absolutely delicious tacos. I also had an asada tostada that was great. Very authentic and the salsa/toppings bar makes it all the better. Definitely do not the let outside scare you. All the workers were friendly as well!

What can I say about this place? This is the closest to authentic Mexican tacos! Tiny place with friendly staff and they have a bar where you can add salsa to your tacos. Talking about salsa, it's a very important part of a taco and their salsas are the bomb!

This place is one of those Great Hole in the wall spots that us local Indy folks only go to! Big burritos the size of your head (That are actually delicious) , all types of meats (not just chicken or steak) And for you #Mole lover out there..This is your spot!! Authentic Mexican Food in Indy 100%...I mean the owners are from the #TacoCapital of the world..hence the word "Chilango"...If you know...You know.

My little sister and I were looking for somewhere new to have lunch so I found this spot guess where? The Yelp App and we decided it was time for an adventure! Its located in a tiny strip center near Community East Hospital. The space looks small and unassuming. Upon opening the front door you find a few shelves with items for sale, a check out counter, tables, a fixings bar, and booths scattered around the room and a bar in the corner. We migrated towards the table area and took a seat. Within a minute a lovely young lady came over to help us. We both ordered chicken tacos with cheese and sour cream and they were awesome! I tried cilantro, onion, a little of the hot sauce, and fresh squeezed lime from the fixins' bar. It was a flavor sensation! I can't wait to go back and try a burrito or another menu item. It's not a flashy or high end place it's real! Real honest food. It was a great experience going somewhere new! The staff and other guests were super friendly!

It says on their sign it's a taco and Mexican grocery. The food is amazing. I got Tacos (I got Al Pastor, Carnitas, and chorizo) and will DEFINITELY be back. Service is great and portion sizes are spot on.

Me at Chilangos still smiling even though being treated poorly

These people do not like American. My husband is Mexican and he could see they dont like American. They will wait on the Mexican first and not serve the Americans till last. I told them I will not come back and they said good. I ask them why dont they have a sign that say Mexican only and they just gave me an evil smile like that was a good idea.

The service was a bit slow but it being cinco de mayo, we understood that things may move a little slower than any other day. They had some specials for the day but I got my old faithful, Maria's Enchiladas with steak. It comes with rice and beans and it's just so so soooo good!!! Having lived in the American Southwest, I can tell the designer spared no detail. It holds true to that desert aesthetic while oozing intimacy through low lighting and cozy seating. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a "mood." The Food Breakdown: * Chips & Guac (5/5 ): Fresh, flavorful, and a must-order. * Salsa Trio (2/5 ): This was a miss for us. We only liked one of the three, so I'd skip the trio next time. * Smoked Brisket & Scallops (3/5 ): A bit of a toss-up. My friend wasn't a fan, but I found the brisket quite tasty and tender. * Birria Short Ribs (3.75/5 ): The flavor was delightful, but the texture was inconsistent. I order short rib specifically for that unctuous, silky, gelatinous breakdown. Half of the portion hit that mark perfectly, but the other half felt more like a standard pot roast. The rest of the dish was satisfyingly tasty! Service & Logistics: Our server was amazing! I wish I'd caught her name, but she was attentive and seamless. (I'm pretty sure it was Taylor.) Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order.
