Pollo entero con todo- whole grilled chicken with everything + chips & salsa
Elizabeth D.

We ordered the pollo entero con todo, which is the while grilled chicken with everything. It's served with rice and beans, salsa, lettuce, tortillas, onions, and grilled peppers. We added chips and salsa and extra cebollitas (grilled onions). For $18.95 it's a ton of food and great for several people to share! It has everything you need to make little tacos, or just demolish the chargrilled chicken as is because it's delicious! Really authentic food, cheap, and a great experience, we'll definitely be ordering from them again! Red sauce is slightly spicy, green sauce has a tiny kick, and the peppers are HOTTTT so be aware. The tortillas are fresh and hold up well, and the grilled onions are addicting. My only "disappointment" which isn't really a disappointment because I love all grilled onions, but I was hoping the cebollitas were grilled green onions because those are my fave and I haven't found any in Indianapolis yet (send me recs if you know any places).

Expect to find some legit $2 tacos at this west side spot with really friendly service. Not only are the tacos tasty, but the gorditas and homemade salsas are pretty delicious too. I recommend ordering the chicken but skipping the chorizo.

A cheap place for your affordable Mexican fix. They got $2 tacos and free chips and salsa when you dine in. The seasonings are pretty tasty on my carne Asada tacos. Service is great, everyone is very friendly and nice. I would come back but I'm leaving Indy.

I love their blackened "al carbon" chicken. You can get a 1/2 chicken with beans and rice, with corn flour tortillas, grilled onions, and a big habanero pepper for $8.18 (plus tax). Also includes chips and salsa. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Other items on the menu seemed pretty standard, but I don't remember anything that stood out, other than they serve breakfast. Though the sign in the front window says they are open 9am to 9pm, (9:30am to 9pm on Mondays). Canned soft drinks are $1.00 ea, so no free refills. Mexican bottled sodas are $1.50. I probably should have asked for a free glass of ice water too, as one can of soda was not quite enough to wash everything down. Men's room was noticeably cleaner than average for Mexican restaurants. There was tp, hand-soap, and a dispenser of paper-towels. Ambience is okay,... good for a strip-mall. Clean dining area too. Two TV's were tuned to a Spanish language channel. The waitress speaks English well. I was there for an early dinner, and there were only 3 other customers.

One of my favorite go-to taco spots. The loaded chicken nachos are the best, and the service is always quick and pleasant.

I got the Langostino Quesadilla that I loved! It was a really big quesadilla too. We were seated in their outdoor area where the heaters were not turned on and the day had been rainy and cold so most of the table was cold throughout our meal. The service was a bit slow but it being cinco de mayo, we understood that things may move a little slower than any other day. They had some specials for the day but I got my old faithful, Maria's Enchiladas with steak. It comes with rice and beans and it's just so so soooo good!!! I also got the Arroyo Margarita which was good but def could tell they were adding a bit more sour mix to the drink. Overall, it was a good experience but I will try to come back again on a day that is not as busy.

Even with the rush, I was able to snag a seat quite quickly. I was so impressed by how efficiently the staff cleared and prepared my table; it's those little touches of attentiveness that really make a difference. I decided to keep things classic and ordered the Asada Tacos. The service was remarkably swift my order arrived in under ten minutes, which is exactly the kind of efficiency I adore. While the initial presentation was a bit more understated than I anticipated, the flavor was a total 8/10 triumph! The staff was also incredibly accommodating when it came to my preferences; they brought over a lovely selection of chips and sauces, but were perfectly gracious when I mentioned I prefer to avoid the heat. These are truly some of the best tacos I've had the pleasure of trying lately. I will most certainly be a regular here!

I don't know how else to explain it. The queso is delicious. They have a salsa bar, and I'm not joking when I say there are a lot of delicious homemade salsas on the salsa bar. You have to buy a basket of chips, but it's very inexpensive and so worth it for the salsa bar! Lastly, the Al pastor is the bomb. The inside is really nice, the owners are so gracious and remember us when we come back each time. Don't sleep on this place--it's perfect for a weekday dinner or a weekend date night!

I spotted them on Resy and was intrigued--it definitely delivered on the "Southwest" vibes. The Atmosphere: The decor is the true standout here. Having lived in the American Southwest, I can tell the designer spared no detail. It holds true to that desert aesthetic while oozing intimacy through low lighting and cozy seating. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a "mood." The Food Breakdown: * Chips & Guac (5/5 ): Fresh, flavorful, and a must-order. * Salsa Trio (2/5 ): This was a miss for us. We only liked one of the three, so I'd skip the trio next time. * Smoked Brisket & Scallops (3/5 ): A bit of a toss-up. My friend wasn't a fan, but I found the brisket quite tasty and tender. * Birria Short Ribs (3.75/5 ): The flavor was delightful, but the texture was inconsistent. I order short rib specifically for that unctuous, silky, gelatinous breakdown. Half of the portion hit that mark perfectly, but the other half felt more like a standard pot roast. The rest of the dish was satisfyingly tasty! Service & Logistics: Our server was amazing! I wish I'd caught her name, but she was attentive and seamless. (I'm pretty sure it was Taylor.) Return Factor: 65% I'll definitely be back to try some of their other pillar dishes. Note for locals: They have a dedicated parking lot, which is a huge plus for this area of College Ave!

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10.
