My friend and I both love Mexican food, so when we made plans to go shopping together, I suggested grabbing a bite at Tacoria afterward. I remembered spotting this location during my last visit to Paris Baguette in Freehold, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to stop in. Having eaten at several Tacoria locations throughout New Jersey, I can confidently say this chain is, hands down, one of my favorite spots for quick, satisfying comfort food.
Walking in, I was greeted by the same familiar decor I've come to love at their other locations. The service was just as wonderful, too! This time, the cashier mentioned that Tacoria has an app, which was news to us.
Naturally, we wasted no time downloading it, and to our delight, we scored free chips and guacamole! Score! We decided to save that little perk for another visit since we already had quite the feast planned.
Here's what we ordered:
-Beyond Tacorizo Box -- 5/5 stars
This vegetarian dish features Beyond Meat seasoned with an incredible blend of spices that had me licking my lips long after my last bite. It's bursting with flavor, and the creamy verde salsa takes it to another level. So delicious and satisfying!
-En-Salad-A Tinga -- 5/5 stars
This salad normally comes with shredded chicken, but my friend opted for pollo asada instead. Her bowl was loaded with fresh greens, black beans, and generous slices of avocado, with pineapple lime dressing served on the side. The salad was so flavorful on its own that she completely forgot about the dressing! Now that's saying something. After seeing how much she enjoyed it, I've officially added this salad to my must-try list for my next visit.
-Beverages -- 5/5 stars
We also ordered a fountain drink and a bottle of Jarritos Guava. I went with the horchata from the fountain and later tried the guava with basil. Every beverage was delicious and refreshing. No complaints here!
I'm absolutely thrilled to have a Tacoria so close to Freehold Raceway Mall. It's a fantastic spot to grab a delicious, satisfying meal before or after a shopping spree.
Parking is free, which is always a plus. However, finding a spot on a Saturday evening was a bit of a challenge. My advice? Bring a little patience, especially during peak hours. The food is well worth it!
Another delicious Tacoria experience, and certainly not my last. With that free chips and guacamole reward waiting for us, I already have a pretty good excuse to return! read more
