Sinaloa Shrimp Taco.
Sandy R.

Review is only for the food, I haven't dined in for this location. I've dined in at another Tacombi restaurant before but not this location. While the food is always good, it's a bit pricey for the portion you get. Also it might've cost a bit more on food delivery apps than in person. So proceed with caution. I got a shrimp taco and shrimp quesadillas. I initially thought the shrimp quesadilla was the shrimp taco because of how small of a portion it was. Food was so small, thought my order was missing lol. (See pictures for reference). Well seasoned shrimp in both tacos and quesadillas. Cheese wasn't too much in my option. Green sauce was spicy and good. Although on the pricey side, I'd recommend because it taste so good. Definitely would be a second pick in taco places for me. However, you can get cheaper tacos elsewhere. It just doesn't hurt to try the food.

I saw an instagram post that Tacombi collaborates with Michelin starred Chef Emmanuel Chavez for a the barbacoa tacos. I ordered two tacos. It comes with a consommé. You can drizzle it on top of the tacos or dunk the tacos in it. They are definitely Michelin star quality. The tortillas are homemade, not the typical store bought. The beef is tender and the consome is packed with flavor. Well balanced of all the aromatic of Mexican food, sweet onion and the lime brightens up the flavor, it has a hint of heat that is enough to warm you up in a cold winter days. The tomatillo sauce on the side is the best I have ever had. Very fresh and with subtle heat. Amazing.

Hit the spot perfectly after a night out in Brooklyn after attending a heavy metal music festival nearby. Tacos, agua frescas, and corn in a cup. Delicious! Friendly and fast service too.

Frozen Margarita To Go and 2 carnitas tacos for $20.99

I love this place! Tacos are delicious and the environment is delightful. Great drinks and wonderful service. The 2 tacos and margarita deal was much appreciated. Cool place to watch the World Cup!

corn esquites

Really great for a quick bite after work for a decent-to-low cost. The corn esquites are a must. I also enjoyed the beef birria and al pastor tacos I got, both were very filling and flavorful! Service could've been a little better. The hostess was super sweet, but it took a while for a server to come to my table even though it wasn't busy. Otherwise, nice evening atmosphere for a date night, group dinner, or even solo!

Vegana Burrita.

Popped in after a very early flight from nashville. We were greeted warmly by the waiter and seated at a low top table. The space was bright, smelled delicious, and the bathrooms were tidy. Our food was so good we barely spoke haha! As the vegan, I was not disappointed with the burrito vegana. I devoured the entire thing and we cleaned the salsa bowls dry. I would love to come back and have margaritas and enjoy the night vibe!

I'm a huge fan of Tacombi. They're sheets fast and very good! My visit this evening was wonderful. I was shocked they changed the ordering process! No more little papers ands pencils. But good thing the quality of food has remained wonderful! Solid service and great atmosphere!

Ambiance: (5/5) I loved the music and open set up. Price: (3/5) I felt that this was a bit expensive for tacos in NY. Food: (4/5) I enjoyed the birra tacos as the meat was tender. The al pastor was a little tough and less flavorful. I really enjoyed the esquites. I wish the portion was bigger since they are $5. Service: (5/5) Food comes out quick and staff is nice.

Holy Moly the birria tacos filled my cup. I crave birria tacos biweekly lol & I really like theirs! Easily some of the best around. The staff are friendly & focused on you. No complaints at any location I've visited so far. Service is always fast and delicious! No shortcuts on delivery of deliciousness presented consistently. It's a cute authentic design as well. Makes you feel you're walking into an upscale Mexican diner in Mexico. Go, enjoy!!!

Receipt of items. Baja Crispy Fish Taco.
Jacob B.

The food was fine and the service was average. My main feedback and something I feel is completely unethical is that I went in with a vegetarian friend for Taco Tuesday and he ordered the buy one get one free options. I did the same with a shrimp and Baja fish taco. They decided to scrap the buy one get for all of the expensive options leaving only the expensive entrees to drive up the bill more and on top of this I somehow paid a 35% tip (my guess is they added additional gratuity) when I pressed the 18% option. Please be careful about this location and what you are paying. I have uploaded the receipt below as I can't really make sense of me going in to pay for a few tacos each expecting the BOGO deal to somehow this .

I often find myself frequenting Tacombi when I crave a reliable Mexican burrito. I will also say that I usually get it delivered, but this time opted to dine in with a friend. Sunday evening around 7 and there were plenty of seats-- the outdoor area is nice this time of year as well. I got the classic marg and the beef birria tacos. Very satisfied with both. I had no complaints-- the meat in the tacos were flavorful tender and juicy. It was accompanied by a small tiny cup of consome which was delicious as well.

Avocado tostada, Baja Crispy Fish Taco, Sinaloa Shrimp Taco, Pollo Yucateco Taco and horchata milk drink.
Aagdolla G.

The food was good and definitely better in person than when you order and ordering was good as well but obviously more fresh in person. The Sinaloa shrimp taco was good with a lot of cheese n a piece of avocado on top. My fav was the Baja crispy fish taco because of flavor n texture of all of what's in it. Then second fav was the avocado tostada because of how much avocado on top, I love avocados. The Horchata wasn't the best for me here as I drink better ones. Horchata-$3.98 Avocado tostada-$4.98 Baja crispy fish taco-$6.98 Sinaloa shrimp taco- $6.49 Pollo yuca taco taco-$4.98

Carnitas Taco.
Mary D.

Came here on a weekend for a party of two with no reservations. Was seated outside on the patio within a few minutes. The carnitas tacos were incredible! However it had carrots on it and typically real tacos don't come with that (sorry, I'm from LA). I also ordered the sandia santa, a watermelon and tequila beverage, it was delicious. Would come back just for that drink! I would recommend coming here for happy hour which is 4-7pm on Monday-Friday to get the most value. The service was okay but not the best.

This place was so delicious but somehow the people there were even kinder. Manuel was so helpful and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

We waited 30 minutes for an Al Pastor & Birria Taco. The flavor profile was la Croix, essence of taco.

Everyone that works there is super attentive and for how busy they are they always make sure to check up on your table. Their tacos are extremely delicious, they don't hold back with make sure each taco is full of any kind of meat that you get! Full of flavor and just looking at them reminds you why they're the best. Some other notable things that you should get is the quesadillas and the nachos they have. I'll have to keep coming back to try other things. This neighborhood gem offers an industrialized minimalist form of decor with pops of color and art. Cozy but roomy, the bar area had mostly 2 seater tables and a few with high chairs. We recently went for a birthday brunch. Restaurant Week was still in effect but we decided to choose from the regular brunch menu. Place was low key and giving neighborhood vibes. The service was 10 STARS! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. We were also checked on by a second staff member who I think may have been a manager but cannot be certain. We started with cocktails and they serve chips and salsa gratis. I had the Jalapeno and Hibiscus Margarita and my friend ordered the Pepper Margarita with Strawberry and Chipotle. Mine was a bit on the sweet side without a hint of tequila. My friend's drink definitely was the better of the two. Not overly sweet and definitely a flavor of tequila was present. We also ordered a guacamole. I must say it was quite small and barely served 2 people. I suggest if more than 2 guests are part of the experience, order more than one. For my entree, I requested a market salad and 2 veggie tacos with a side of birria consume. Salad was very fresh and I am sure was made to order as opposed to premade a week prior and waiting in a fridge to be served. My tacos were average but satisfying. The consume was a bit disappointing as it was more of a water/broth based and not of a typical gravy consistency. It was not exciting. My friend's entree was the highlight of the experience. She had the brisket quesadilla. Never have I seen a quesadilla with a crispy outside such as this. A culinary masterpiece indeed. She consumed it all and not one complaint afterward. Delish. We did receive a complimentary Churro plate for the birthday celebration. They were drizzled with caramel and berries. Served warm, they were a dream for the palate. I did use the bathroom which was a single stall. It was clean enough but not well lit. The biggest downfall of my experience was the temperature of the restaurant. I understand it is summer, however, there was no A/C and the inside was extremely hot. I sweated through my entire experience. Even the bathroom felt like 100 degrees. We did not complain but our waitress noticed and brough a fan out to circulate the air. They do have ceiling fans but honestly I did not feel them. The management/owner should consider more temperature control methods during the hotter months as it was quite uncomfortable. To sum it up, I thought this experience was mostly positive and would patronize it again.

We started off with a round of drinks. A Mexican Coke, two types of mezcal margaritas that were amazing! The one with the blackberry syrup and thyme was INCREDIBLE! The only thing that was spicy was the habanero salsa. But it was overly good! I couldn't help myself! We also each had a taco. And had a shrimp taco that was topped with a cool, crunchy coleslaw. Most of all, what I really appreciated with every bite is that I wanted more and that it was so unique compared to anything else that I had ever tried.
