The El Picosito had grilled chopped beef tenderloin, chipotle sesame sauce, avocado slices, and queso fresco. It was tasty and only slightly salty at the end. The Delibelly had thick organic pork belly slices, goodflow honey tomatillo-serrano salsa, avocado slices, cilantro and small chopped onion. I liked the contrast of the grilled pork belly and the fresh and bright flavors of the other ingredients. The pork belly did get a little hard to bite a piece off later in the meal. The tortillas were pliable and chewy. The queso was a little runny but had the saltiness. They have a patio with plenty of tables. I told the staff I had a mobile order, and once it was ready, they brought out it out to the patio on the tray. read more

I will not be going back to Tacodeli. I used to like this place, but the quality of the food has significantly dropped off. Today I ordered two Jess Specials, and the eggs are literally cold. Not hot, not room temperature- COLD, as if they were refrigerated. The cheese did not even attempt to melt. I guess I waited 10+ minutes for pre-made tacos. read more

Outstanding, amazing, addictive, I'm actually glad I live in Tomball and only come down town once a week. I'm pretty sure I would be here far too often if I had to work in the office more than one day a week. As it is, we also have to be at the office tomorrow for a special event, so I'm trying to figure out how to work tacodeli in again. Don't think it will be too hard a problem. I absolutely love the mole tacos and recommended it 100%,but I also try to try different tacos as well, otherwise I will only order the mole. Today I had the mole (of course), and the brisket el rey, along with the beans and rice . Great choice, I'm glad I went with it. It was hard to pass on their mashed potatoes, but I really do like the beans and rice. Then of course I top everything with their habanero salsa, I use too much for sure, my mouth is burning and my insides are shaking, but I love it and practically pour it in like it was ketchup on a hot dog. One day I may learn a lesson, but it's not today. I love the fact that the employee that is usually here is so friendly, she does an outstanding job of making me feel recognized, kudos. I usually eat outside because they have a beautiful outdoor seating area, but I didn't want to take a chance of mosquitoes getting me like last time I was out there. Damn bugs. Anyway, eat here! We are always looking for fish tacos. Tacodeli's salmon tacos are delicious, and the size is generous for the price. I wanted to like this place, it was different than the norm. But, the steak breakfast burrito had a weird texture, maybe should have cooked it longer. The onions and peppers should definitely be cooked longer on the griddle, basically raw veggies. Breakfast is a hard food to mess up but I think it was bland and fell short. To have tacos this good in the heart of the galleria is a first! I work nearby so have already been by twice but plan to make my way through their entire menu (I LOVE TACOS) hehe! I've tried their breakfast & lunch tacos and have enjoyed everything I've tasted so far! Their sauces are so good & made from scratch! The manager (Justin) is super cool, he's been there both times I stopped by & you can tell he truly cares about his patrons! He does it all, refills sauces, works the register & even picks up tables when guests are done eating! I'll be sure to get pictures of my tacos next time! In town visiting a friend and stopped in for breakfast around 9:30! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The cashier who took my order was kind, patient, and extremely helpful. I ordered the Mexico City Chicken tacos (came with two) and I ordered a 4pm size of eggs. I probably wouldn't order eggs again, unless I asked for hard shell fresh eggs. The eggs I was served taste as though they came out of a carton/bottle. The restaurant was clean, but I opted to sit outdoors (also clean). My plan was to work and eat breakfast. The music was too loud inside. I made a request to turn the music down outside and the restaurant staff accommodated to my surprise. The staff brought my food to me outside and it was extremely fresh and hot. My meal including the tip was $14.00. Would definitely go back and patronize this business again. read more

I went to Tacodeli for the first time today. I ordered a small queso and chips, a Frontera Fundido Chicken taco, and a Cowboy taco. The food tasted fresh. The Frontera taco was bland and definitely needed some sauce. I liked the salsa verde the best with the Frontera taco. I liked the rojas salsa the best with the Cowboy taco. I thought the Dona salsa was OK. I did not try the habanero salsa. I will get the Cowboy taco again and select a different chicken taco the next time I go to Tacodeli. The queso had a decent flavor but it had been watered down to the consistency of water. The bag of tortilla chips I was given is the perfect amount of chips for the small queso. I would get the queso again despite the watery consistency. The restaurant is clean. There is covered outdoor seating, which is nice. read more

I eat there all the time in Austin, and this one is really great. They have refined the look and feel quite a lot. I've eaten there a few times on this trip starting with the Otto and Jess both for breakfast. Next day for lunch with a small queso, frontera fundito steak, and delibeli for lunch.
