    Barbacoa brunch tacos
    Maya T.

First time here and I was visiting from Dallas. They gave us a small sample of fajita meat and it was amazing! I got the barbacoa brunch tacos and it was a lot of food. 2 tacos with eggs, potatoes and refried beans. My daughter got the chicken tenders with fries kids meal and the best part was the ice cream that came with her meal. I tried the ruby red Rita which was quite delicious. The chips, salsa and bean dip were also so good. Plenty of indoor seating and at the bar. Nice decor and attentive service. Can't wait to go back.

I looveeee Lupe tortilla. All locations, I'm here at least once a week to grab a margarita. Shoutout to Justin for have such great customer service and going above and beyond! I came right before closing tonight and he did no complaints! It's not ideal I know... I work in the industry as well but I really appreciated such a positive attitude and stilll giving us full service. Shout out to the bar team. Jas was cleaning behind the bar but she was also very pleasant :)

100% my favorite fajitas in town. Consistent across all locations, Lupe gets it right. Start by asking for the OG salsa. IYKYK Table side guacamole is good. If you're in the bar area and Johnny is service, you're in good hands. Food is always good but stars include: Filet Mignon fajitas, the RIBS, OG beef fajitas and Cheekin Lupe. During August/September, the special Hatch Chili menu shines. Drop in. I'll be there.

I stopped coming to Lupe Tortilla long time ago after they changed the Cheekin Flautas. So first in a long time. I was in a large group for a holiday lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food and our waiter was prompt and on top of it. He even took time to take our group photo. I had the lunch fajitas and I loved the chicken more than the beef. Charros beans are the best! Lastly the tortillas are massive! I described them as a baby blanket. They were delicious and more than enough. Restroom was clean which is always a must! They have good sweet tea for the sweet tea lovers.

We had a great time at Lupe tortilla. The restaurant was spacious and we were seated right away. It was pretty busy on a Sunday evening so they took a little longer to take our order, but they gave us free samples of the beef tacos as a service - which was delicious! After trying out the samples, we got the beef and shrimp fajitas. They place it in a hot plate which keeps the meats warm. I also appreciated how they gave us the fajitas wraps in a pot to keep it warm throughout the meal. Loved all the sides it came with to make the perfect wrap. The guacamole was delicious and I absolutely enjoyed having it with the chips as well as the fajitas. I would recommend going hungry as the portions are large! We had leftovers which we packed in togo boxes. We did have to ask for silverwares again as they cleared our table pretty fast.

One of the best flans i've had for a long time!

Wonderful lunch with a friend...great margaritas and there's crab stuffed shrimp was phenomenal... Angel, our server"what a lovely professional... can tell he has perfected his craft over many years...And very attentive... highly recommend... oh , and the flan... is absolutely delicious and creamy

Love Tex-Mex! Service and atmosphere: Very nice restaurant, clean with plenty of space, and great decor. Check out their bar area. Service was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food and drinks: Great selection in both areas. Food was simply delicious. Fantastic Tex-Mex flavours. All was fresh, balanced, and nicely plated. I really enjoy spicy Tex-Mex gumbo. Same goes for the steak. Pricing: $$ and well worth it! See you soon.

Another family dinner at this location and another night of incredible customer service. Since it is only a few days before Christmas on a Thursday night, this Lupe Tortillas had a line out the door . Within 10 minutes, we were seated, and our server Hugo had our chips , drink orders, and food orders taken care of in the next 5 minutes . It's pretty impressive considering how busy this location was! My 2 carnivores ordered the steak lupe and steak dinner. You have to keep the meat eaters happy! Our food came out quickly and was served hot like we like it on cast iron skillets. Wonderful way to start the Holiday season. Return: most likely soon

    Lupe Tortilla great waiters

Kaylee, Justin, and Jhonny are a awesome trio at the bar! My first time and they tag team to make sure I was happy, very attentive and great conversation on the menu! Very Satisfied! They made me a happy customer! They recommended several things I really enjoyed the ribs.

Food was delicious. Chicken enchiladas w/green sauce, soft taco, beans rice, side of guacamole rice fluffy, beans not runny, like so many other places. Service was good. Glass of Modelo!!

Always great service. We went for HH and sat at the bar. Drinks are super pricey but they give you free queso during HH. I got beef fajitas to go. Meat is always on point and so flavorful. They could really add more sautéed onions. I feel like they never put enough and this happens every time I go. I always have to ask for more. Over all great location!

This Texas location has good Tex mex down. The Lupe Cheese enchilada with tamale ancho sauce and carne molida chalupa is enough to keep you filled after a 2 hour workout jujitsu session. Served with rice and frijoles( that's bean for the you gringoes) you will not leave the table hungry. I took my future son their for a special treat and he could only eat half since the portions were ginormous. Service was a little slow since they were exceptionally busy but felt we were taken care of and the margaritas were the right size and tasty. Margarita was served with 100% Reposo tequila triple sec and served frozen in a Mexican martini glass with a side of lime. Parking::not bad Customer service: good Food: plentiful hot fresh Return: next month

On this recent visit I ordered the fajita lunch plate with extra grilled veggies, and it was almost enough for 2 meals.. Everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. Our waiter was attentive, got everything out quickly, and checked in on us throughout the meal. It was a busy Sunday lunch crowd, but things ran smoothly, and the atmosphere was lively without being too loud where I can't have a conversation. The interior is spacious, with plenty of seating for large groups, plus a separate dining or business room for those company outings. All in all, a solid spot for casual dining or a few margaritas with friends and family. I'd definitely come back. (Need to try that poblano soup people are talking about)

And Tacos Doña Lena, on which I'll heap tons of praise on, is among them. A group of friends and I had supper here before a live show down the street at Eighteen Ten Ojeman. Upon seeing the storefront when we pulled into the parking lot, my first thought was, "Okay, this is legit Mexican, not Tex-Mex." The interior is quite small with some tables and an ample late Saturday afternoon crowd. What caught my eye is how the environment is what you might expect to find at a family-run taqueria off the beaten path. Rock en Español blaring from the sound system. Colorful papel picado draped from the ceiling. A framed Mexican flag and several references to the central Mexican municipality of Guanajuato. The intoxicating smell of spice-laced grilled beef wafting through the air. Simply put, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I glanced at the menu. There are numerous, delicious-sounding items that happen to be wallet-friendly, a bit cheaper than if you were to go to Gringos or Jimmy Changas. According to a mutual, the tacos here are the main draw, but what really caught my attention and appetite was the ramen birria. Mujeres y caballeros (ladies and gentlemen), let me proclaim that Tacos Doña Lena turns a noodle dish with origins in Japan and is a known staple in college dorm rooms into a must-try on this part of America's fourth-largest city. Two amazing food cultures unite for a fiery meeting of the minds. Anchored by a rich, tasty consomé that's spicy but not enough to where you need to drink multiple glasses of water, there's a prime mix of ramen noodle, beef birria, cheese, fried egg, rabanos, garbazo, and corn accompanied by cilantro, onions, and a pair of fried tostadas. I was so impressed with how the contents of the ramen blended together. Since it was ramen after all despite the south of the border touchup, I still ate it the traditional way: pick up the noodles and sip the soup. There was so much that I had no choice but to put it in a takeout container. Sure, Spring Branch may be home to some great traditional Korean restaurants, but don't sleep on Tacos Doña Lena.

I came in on a Sunday around noon and there were a good number of customers but thankfully my friend and I were able to be seated right away. The outdoor seating area is super cute but I think it would've been much better if there was a gazebo or some kind of umbrella since there was no shade. Although fall is here and the weather is finally starting to get a little cooler, I don't know if eating here during the summer time is feasible. The appetizer consisted of chicharrones de harina with 3 different sauces. The creamy green sauce and red sauce are super spicy so you've been warned (for spice reference, I enjoy eating buldak noodles but need some eggs to dilute the spiciness). The only sauce that wasn't as spicy was the salsa verde. I also got the guacamole and the ingredients were fresh but it lacked a little salt. Thankfully, the cutlery package had some salt and pepper so that helped. As for the entree, I ordered the Birria Tacos. The flavor and seasoning were fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed the use of jackfruit in the dish. Consome was also savory and delicious! My friend ordered an omlete and that came with pancakes. Although I didn't try the omlete, the pancakes were amazing. They're soft, fluffy, moist, and the cream on top and on the side were sweet and satisfying. I was blown away by the fact that they're vegan too- bravo! As for drinks, I ended up getting the La Cascarita which is a spicy pineapple drink. Flavor-wise, the drink was spicy and refreshing but I think it was a little too sweet for my liking. In terms of service, it was pretty slow (granted, there were only one or two servers). Margarita (4/5): I got a frozen mango margarita as I usually do. The margaritas are relatively consistent at El Tiempo and they do a nice floater of tequila. This one had some chunks of mango and ice that clogged my straw a bit more, but it was still pretty good. Full Chicken Quesadilla (4/5): Definitely huge. We both ordered this and both took home half as leftovers. I found the chicken a tad dry, and I'm disappointed that they don't include guacamole for the price. I paid via inKind with no issues. You have to manually write in your check total instead of using a check number, and then the wait staff will take a photo with their phone so don't close the screen (or take a screenshot yourself). Overall, a solid tex-mex staple of Houston that remains quite pricey. Suggest checking for coupons or using inKind for a discount.

We saw different families dinning and they ask if you need kids menus and seating. The server came by to take drink orders and we also gave our appetizer order. They brought chips (nice and crispy) & salsa (it was ok) to the table. They have other options besides red salsa... ask for other salsa options. We started with the sample platter (you know I am not a cheesy girl, this platter has all the cheese (Chicken and steak nachos, chicken and ground beef empanadas, chicken and steak quesadillas, and chicken flautas, served with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, creamy cilantro, pickled jalapeños, chile con queso) and table side gucamole (it was tasty but the portion was so small... it seemed like it was just one avocado). We ordered family fajitas. It came with tortillas, condiments (sour cream, cheese, guacamole and pico), a bowl of rice and a bowl of beans. The meat was served on a cast-iron platter with onions. This platter has a lot of juice it felt like the meat was in a pool of au jus. The meat was tender and tasted ok. I would have preferred a little more char. Service was friendly and helpful.

Parking: Tons in the strip mall. Time to Entree: 15 Minutes We had a reservation for 4 at 11:30AM on a Saturday and were seated quickly with no issues. The complimentary chips and salsa were decent. Only one salsa option that has a nice peppery burn. The chips are thin and can accumulate some salt nearer to the bottom of the basket. For four people, we ordered the #2 Family Platter with quail, beef, chicken, and shrimp. Huge plus that guacamole and tortillas are included, unfortunate that sour cream is an extra $2. Refried beans made for great fajita wrapping. Out of the proteins, I really enjoyed the quail and beef and found the chicken and shrimp to be a tad salty but everything was cooked very well and all of the meats were still juicy. My mom got a piece or two of beef that were a bit chewier but overall they were quite good. We got a piece of tres leches for my dad's birthday celebration along with some festive singing with their signature giant sombrero. The tres leches was very sweet and made it very sharable for four people! Our server, Marvin, was incredibly attentive and accommodating towards all of my parents' needs, keeping our hot water topped off and bringing us additional plates and to-go containers in a very timely way.
