The food was good. They seemed to have a nice happy hour too. The gringa wasn't how I expected as im used to it being more like a small quesadilla but was still good. The Al pastor was ok, not something that I have to get again. The aqua fresca was good. Good & fast service as well.

    WATERY BIRRIA

This used to be a great spot, it is not anymore. Birria is WATERED DOWN. customer service is lacking. you used to be able to get a cup or birria consome on the side of any dish with an upcharge, now they only serve the watered down version with birria dishes only. tastes 1/10 as good as it used to be. DISSAPOINTING 1st pic is from a few months ago. 2nd is from today (june).

Small place with about 6-7 tables plus a bar area. Since it was mid day Sunday it was not very packed or noisy. We got quick service. The food was described well by the waiter and I Updated menu but the food was very mid. Not much flavors. Salsas not very spicy and the cheese dip was the biggest let down. Straight out the can. I would eat here in a pinch or as a quick stop but I wouldn't go out my way to come back or bring family and friends to check it out. This place is located right on the corner of a big plaza. I forgot there is also an outside patio with a few more tables for extra dining but there was a lot of road noise when I stepped out there during the day.

Decided to try this place for my lunch break I ordered 5 small tacos to go. Steak tacos . Customer service was average . It's kinda more expensive than expected . I got the tacos and one soda and it was 18$ including tax. Normally the small tacos are 1$ or 2$ . All the furniture looks really old and tore up. But I didn't come here for the interior design let's talk about the food. They made the tacos quick ! The food was not bad at all pretty good. Had some nice seasoning and flavor even tho the pic of the food didn't loook good when you add cilantro and onions with the salsa it' was exactly what I asked for .

I've had TDL from a different location in Spring Branch. This is a newer location for the restaurant. It's quaint, has a decent bar and patio. The staff were attentive. The one thing that stands out the most is their quest. I could just sit there and eat nothing but chips and queso. It was creamy and spicy. The kick lingers at the end after the queso coats your tongue with every bite. Then you feel the slight heat as you reach for the second...third...fourth...100th chip. Get the queso, it's 5/5. We got the beef trompo, Barbacoa, flautas and tripa. Trompo regulares 3.5/5- the slices were really thin but decent enough flavor. Went really well with the green bottled sauce. Barbacoa tacos 3.5/5- the meat was juicy and flavorful, went well by itself or with the brown smoky salsa it came with. Spicy! But definitely flavorful. I'm a ninny FYI. Flautas 3/5 I've had better. The queso and guacamole/avocado sauce it came with really made it taste bland. Add the orange salsa in the bottle and same salt and it is better. Wouldn't come back for this or the tostada Siberia which is basically the same. Tripas 2/5 this should've been cooked crispier...most of my pieces were very chewy and tough but the crispy pieces were decent. Overall I'd come back because I like TDL. Im.always happy to see restaurants grow because of good food. I'll have the pastor next time!

So, now that I've given these guys more than a couple visits in different locations, i can definitely say that they're doing a great thing over there. It's been a good while that I've been to an actual brick-n-mortar "street taco" establishment and they haven't actually disappointed me. Their red salsa is also actually spicy with great flavor....keep it up guys - and we'll definitely see me again!

I went to a 99 cents store. I was thinking about going to Taco Bell. I just wanted to save my time. I found a Taco restaurant in the same shopping strip The location was supposed to be an Asian restaurant. The Asian guys went somewhere, I had to meet non-Asians. I saw many Hispanic-looking guys, this meant that this restaurant would be very authentic. I ordered Quesadilla. The casher asked my name. I said " Chino". She understood. Gracious. I ate the $7 Quesadilla. It was big and Okay. Honestly, Taco Bell's $5 quesadilla was better. Perdon. I felt like losing $2. LOL. Anyway, Thank you! I gave you 5 stars! Taco Bell is 6 stars! LOL.

Paco's new restaurant has been open for just about 3 months. Brand new and still a little work to do on the restaurant but the food was amazing. My partner and I just walked across from discount tire to wait for his tire to be repaired, we were (well at least I was) hungry and you could smell their food from across the street. I had tacos trompos especial and my partner had a bistek torta it was humongous and he ate it all! They serve you with some frijoles to start they're really good has sausage in it. We also had Fortaleza tequila and ummm "I didn't like it..." wink... "I loved it!" Definitely set the tone for the remaining of the day.. my partner and I had a great time there. Paco was really nice and I'm definitely going to return! It is a must try! More review to come! Ohh they also have Mexican coke and aquas naturales (drool)

It was okay i don't really remember to be honest. Tacos were alright my soup was alright. Kinda too tex mexy in flavor. i like tostada regia better. idk i just hate how my mom ordered a plate and it was like three variations of tortillas. makes no sense to me. but whatever. also don't understand the avocado on tacos ? but idk mane i know different parts of mexico r different. it was aight if u want some aight food come here. the girl who served us was really awkward tho like extremely but i feel so it was okay for me but my friend was kinda bothered LMAO. i like the location on long point better but idk tbh i haven't been there in at least a decade.

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

Ambiance: upon walking in, it was chaos and sooooo many people standing up and sitting down. Walking around with drinks. I felt like I was in a club. A server made her way to me to take my Togo order. While waiting, I grabbed a drink at the bar and just made the happy hour cut off. Service was great as I was able to get my order and it was a large order. Everything was correct. The house margarita was ok, I wish I had gotten the hibiscus flavor. Order; Crab Tostadas Mixed Fajitas Snapper Mole Enchilada Ninfa 2 Tacos Margarita Mix The only thing I would order again is the crab tostadas and the beef fajitas. The chicken had no flavor at all. The charros beans and rice were not anything special. I was not a fan of either. Overall, we are not planning to order from here again. It just wasn't what Mark Weins made it seem like on his review. Also, whoever the driver was practically could not wait for me to turn around. Sorry, I had to take a pic. Very rude.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

It definitely is enough for 2. The meat melts in your mouth. EVERYTHING is better quality than here. Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! I have never been to another restaurant that does so. Some even provide carmelized grilled onions gratis. I'm convinced that a $15. YUMMY mango margarita at Pappasitos would have given us the same buzz & tasted better than 8 happy hour margaritas here. I used to love the in house made flour tortillas at Teo. For dessert, we got the tres leches cake. I'm usually not a huge fan of strawberry or fruit toppings on desserts, but the cake itself was really, really good. I ended up just removing the strawberries and eating the cake, which was moist and flavorful. The only downside for me was the drinks. They looked larger than they actually were because of the glassware, and they tasted a little watered down. I had two, and they just weren't very strong or super flavorful. I prefer traditional homemade Mexican food but here we are. (Oh I googled and suggested this place lol) Went in for a team lunch on a Friday. Coworker's birthday lunch and she wanted Mexican. Party of 9 and we were seated promptly. They have a lunch menu and a happy hour as well as a full menu and full bar. The interior was nicely decorated. And open. There is bar seating and patio seating as well. Our waitress was Aisha and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and patient. And able handle our large group and a few more tables with a smile. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
