About a couple tacos out here in the valley, but I feel like the tacos lack flavor definitely a hype taco I feel like the tortillas could use a little bit more flavor felt like store brought tortillas The only taco I liked was a Carne. I feel like the store has a good flavor, but I feel like I've had better definitely a hype taco in Phoenix. read more

Best pound for pound taco experience I've ever had. The food and the vibe are perfect. You must try this place

By far one of my favorite places in the Valley! From the atmosphere to the food, this place is amazing. I went in to order the Al Pastor and get there Carne asada, and let me say the portions are no joke. The service is friendly and want you to feel welcome. I take my family here whenever we can, and they never disappoint anytime we come. This place wants you to know they have good food and it shows. I recommend this spot to anyone who is feeling the craving for some authentic Mexican food and want to expand their taste for food! read more

Super solid taco spot with fresh ingredients and great flavor. Everything was well done and hit the mark. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic food! The fries were divine! Crisp even with all the sauce, the flavors were super well balanced, the sauce was spicy yet tasteful. The flavor of the meat all around was fantastic and the tortillas used for the tacos were absolutely delicious. Service was good, they were super busy and we got our food and a table quickly. Really nice decorations and vibe. Very modern. Don't miss out on this place! read more

Ordered one taco, one tostada, one mula and one vampiro just try it all. Asked for no salsa on any of them. After making the taco correctly, Adrian made the tostada and added salsa, looked at me and said, "that's right, you didn't want salsa on anything," proceeded to make the other two and served me. I thought for sure he was going to say that's on the house and make me the tostada with no salsa, but NO. Apparently customer gets what he gets. If that was my restaurant or I'm the manager, I'm eating the cost of the tostada and making customer right. Maybe it's just people these days and good customer service shouldn't be expected anymore. Otherwise, food was delicious. read more

Yum. Try a mula for something rich and filling. I like hongos, with mushrooms. Pairs well with their jamaica drink

I had driven by this restaurant so many times. Finally decided to stop and try. Parking was a bit challenging as they were very busy. We ended up parking across the street. Once inside it is cafeteria style. Loved that I could watch my tacos and tostadas being made. The tacos al pastor was my favorite. Truthfully everything was good. Customer service was top notch. There was a self serve salsa bar and drinks. Tables turned over pretty quickly. Menu was limited but it was enough. I went back the following week and had a wonderful experience. Will be back and highly recommend. I have already sent half dozen friends in with the same happy tummies. read more

Delicioso. I've been wanting to try this new place for a while! It looks like they plan to open a drive thru soon. We got several tacos and taco fries. Mine were asada fries. Very flavorful and tons of food. The parking is limited, but that's to be expected in Central Phoenix. Lots of indoor seating and the staff work so hard. It's great watching them assemble the food, and cut the pastor fresh from the pit. read more

Taco Viva - Taco pastor, taco carne asada, carne asada fries, queso Blanco - Mexican Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

If you're sleeping on Taco Viva, WAKE UP. These mulas are the real deal. I got asada, pastor, and pollo asado, and every bite had me questioning why I don't eat these daily. First off, the tortillas--straight-up homemade goodness. None of that flimsy, store-bought nonsense. You can taste the care in every bite, crispy yet soft, holding everything together like a tortilla hug. The meats? Absolute fire. The asada was juicy with that perfect grilled char, the pollo asado was tender and flavorful, but that pastor... WOW. The little hits of pineapple made every bite pop with sweet, smoky deliciousness. Whoever decided to mix pork and pineapple deserves an award. Pair it with some of their salsas, grab a cold drink, and you've got a meal that'll have you plotting your next visit before you're even done eating. Taco Viva, you've earned a top spot on my taco rotation. read more

Exceptional authentic food with a happy fun friendly atmosphere that is so clean too!!

Super cool trendy new taco joint. Appears to be very authentic making everything from scratch right in front of you. All of the tacos all of the items I've had are delicious. And everyone else I was with a tested to the same thing. I think the price point is about right although my friends think it's high. You gotta try it because it's just such a cool novel taco joint. read more

Great lunch with the family. Fresh meat fresh tortillas and fast service. If you enjoy tacos and an immersive experience into the world that is Mexican food this is a great spot. Most often in Mexico it's in an open air environment but this being in AZ you gotta know your audience and this is worth your time. Doesn't matter what you order you'll like it IMO as it's all solid. read more

Best tacos I've had in a while! I'd been passing this place up because it looked like a cookie cutter chain. I stand deliciously corrected! The menu is straightforward and both the al pastor and carne asada were fresh and tangy and delicious. The salsas had some heat on them, though we stayed away from the hottest one that was served in tiny cups off to the side. It looked like it wanted to fight and I'd normally be down to scrap but I had places to be. It's immediately a new fave of ours and we'll be back ASAP. read more

As someone from So Cal, run to this place. Best tacos in the Phoenix area (Mexico City style). Very simple menu- Handmade tortillas, great Al pastor and Carne Asada. Tacos come loaded with enough meat to make two and the tortillas do not fall apart when you're eating. Salsa Bar is available as well, no drive through when I visited. read more

Fun place to enjoy delicious tacos! I love their music playlist and the long spacious tables. After we placed the order and paid, we got our own order ticket to give to the chef. I like to be able to watch they put together my tacos and I could ask them to add or subtract a few toppings/sides that I might not want to eat. The tacos are delicious. The pork is juicy. I have no room for desserts this time. I might need to be back to try the desserts. read more

We are in town for a visit... Came here for lunch based on the Yelp and proximity to our stay. Let me say - THIS place is EXCELLENT!! The menu options aren't extensive, and that makes it great to not have to scour a huge selection. Pastor, Carne asada, chicken, and Mushroom! The mushrooms are fantastic. Well all of the proteins are tasty, but the mushrooms stole the show for me. When you order "con todo" - meaning with everything (onions, cilantro, guac and salsa) they give you the option to omit what you would like to leave off. We loved lunch so much, we came back for dinner take out the same day!!! Staff is friendly, fast and accurate when you order. The place is large, not too loud, and clean! , Also has a small, pet friendly patio which was perfect for us traveling with our doggy. Just all around a great place!! read more

Best Tacos Place in Phoenix. The flavors and the meats are tasty and really standout amongst other taco spots in the valley. Mexico City style tacos with great salsa and flavor. You must get it Con Todos - salsa, onions, cilantro, guac. It's also very reasonable for the amount of food you get! My favorites are Al Pastor and the Carne Asada read more

Taco Viva - Al pastor, carne asada - Mexican Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Absolutely unacceptable behavior from Carlos, the manager. Instead of having even the most basic level of professionalism, he chose to publicly yell at an employee for a mistake that wasn't theirs. Meanwhile, the actual problem was his cashier, who was too busy socializing and not paying attention to customers or orders. What really stood out was Carlos's attitude when I spoke up. He didn't listen, didn't care, and made that very clear. He flat-out dismissed my concern and essentially told me my opinion didn't matter, then had the audacity to suggest I should be "on his side." That's not leadership -- that's ego and incompetence. On the other hand, I want to sincerely thank Angel, who stepped in and fixed a mistake he didn't even make. He was incredibly kind, professional, and handled the situation with more maturity than the manager himself. Employees like him deserve better leadership. If this is how Carlos treats both his staff and customers, it's no surprise things are being mishandled. A manager who can't take accountability and instead lashes out at the wrong people should not be in that position. I will not be coming back, and I genuinely feel bad for any employee who has to work under someone like this. read more

Super kind employees, fresh corn tortillas, and pastor trompo...what could get any better?!?! We ran across this restaurant and it looks super to El Gordo in California, which made us super excited! When you arrive, all the cooks yell hello to you which was super special. They have several HUGE menus posted all over the walls. You order with an employee and then you pick up your tacos from the food line. They will ask if you want your food con todo which means; onions, cilantro, salsa; and guacamole. They give you a lot of meat and it is so fresh!! The corn tortillas are made fresh everyday at the restaurant, they are so flavorful! We ordered carne asada and pastor. Personally pastor was my favorite, it is super fresh and delicious! They have so many salsas you can choose from and they are all delicious. They have a ton of seating inside, I will say it is a bit chilly so bring a sweater if you can. read more
