Perfect for family dining. I love the staff here -- friendly and helpful, and they never bat an eye at my four-year-old's bizarre request to have his quesadilla served deconstructed and uncooked. The food here is clearly fresh and yet super fast. It is a winner over typical fast food, but fortunately for us, the atmosphere is similar, considering we have two little kids. Speaking of which, the kids meals are a really good deal. The only bummer is the supa cool new soda machine they installed that tempts my preschooler away from the milk and over to the grape Hi-C. He loves the color but not the taste, so he just drinks mine instead (half cherry vanilla Pibb Zero and half raspberry Caffeine-Free Diet Coke, because I can). Good thing there are free refills. I love the surprisingly filling Crisp Burrito (those crunchy ends are to die for), the gooey, cheesy goodness of the Soft Burrito, the crisp veggies in the Veggie Taco, the sauce of the Enchilada Platter, and the yummy combination of light lettuce and flaky shell of the Tostado Salad. My husband tells me the Fish Taco is unsurpassed, so I'll take his word for that. Is it clear that we eat here too often? Last time at this location! Slow service, surly order taker and overall unclean and messy. Natural soft taco meal was so greasy I couldn't eat it. Remember the NATURAL part in the title! Not to mention it was thrown together and had nothing in it. Got the white chicken chili instead of the mexi fries on this visit. This was not the white chicken chili they have had in the past, was a poor imitation at best. Topping it off was getting my daughters order wrong. She loves Taco Time but even she said this one is always bad. She ended up with no dinner at this point because someone can't tell beans from beef! Come on guys, get consistency with your locations and have the same level of quality and cleanliness no matter which one you visit. As far as fast food joints go, this Taco Time is friendly and super clean. The manager even made a point of saying good-bye to us on the way out. How often does that happen?! Also I love a place that serves cripsy tater tots! and their newest addition of the multi-flavor fountain soda machine! *gasp* It's not your regular, "hmmm, I'll mix orange Fanta with Barg's root beer and Sprite with a splash of coke" kind of machine. There's several flavors under each soda. Push Coke and 4-5 options of flavors pop up. Choose Fanta and again, more flavors to choose from. Just ate here and will have to say it was the nicest Taco-Time I have ever been to! But a nice location isn't exactly a redeeming factor when it comes to taste. There are times when this TT has great service and speed. There are other times - which seem to be more and more frequent- that service, speed and especially friendliness rank a one or zero star. Tonight in particular - I went inside because the drive thru line was long. Without a smile or thank you, I gave my order. When I asked for hot sauce they looked at me confused and told me it was on the counter. After waiting for more than 10 minutes they finally had my order but without bringing it to me. Fast, fresh food at good prices. I come here regularly and love their food. My favorites are the crisp tacos, chips and salsa, and habanero burrito (which is spicy!!). It might be fast but the food is FANTASTIC-- fresh, flavorful, and affordable! From the delicious tacos to the mexi-plates and burritos, I haven't had a bad thing here. I love their mexi-fries and churros. No matter how much food I get for my husband and me, I never spend more than $20. We're always stuffed and satisfied. I think this is one of the nicest Taco Times in the city. The food is consistently top notch and fresh tasting. I have been to some other TT's and it can be hit or miss. The fish tacos are my current favorite, you must eat it within seconds of it being made though. That way you get the nice crunch from the fried fish- mmmm! But DAMN they are expensive for a taco! Moving into an apartment building one block away from this place was possibly the worst, yet most delicious, decision I have ever made. Yelp's Mexi-Can badge was wrong - burrito's can most certainly be a food group! They have good food (like all Taco Times, though I've only eaten at one other), good service, a mostly friendly staff and some other niceties like: Compostable everything on the plate (except the plate), Yummy unlimited salsa (if you don't like it, don't blame me - blame your taste buds) and ketchup, The fact that they let you in even a few minutes before closing time and even then don't hover over your table for you to leave, Sweet, sweet service - all employess are nice though Fezaan (sp?) is our favorite! , and, Unlimited possibilities of mixing and matching at the soda fountain! All this on top of the fact that they don't allow tips. Ok, so I have broken that last rule a couple of times but only coz I couldn't help it. My favorites are the Platter and classic burrito. With this location I always have good experiences. The store is clean. The service is fast. The employees are very helpful and kind. The chairs and tables are clean. There are papers most times if you are interested to read. Always plenty of parking. Try their salsa always consistent. Service has gone WAY down hill. Spent 35 minutes in the drive thru and 30 minutes waiting for a to go order on my last two visits to this Taco Time. No apologies or acknowledgements of a problem, nor do employees seem to care. No apparent efforts to hustle for their customers, AND they aren't filling orders properly. One customer in front of me was shorted in her order and mine was as well. Tried calling the restaurant to rectify my issue (this time), but no one answers the phone. This is one of the best taco times out there. The staff is funny, friendly, and helpful and even during lunch & dinner rushes the restaurant is kept very clean. although they are overpriced (3 dollars for a soft taco?) they definitely make up for it in quality. I have had a lot of fast food that has left me feeling like i've needed a shower-- Taco time never does that. My suggestion to those on a budget: get the nachos! less than 5 dollars for a big plate of delicious nachos, beans, cheese, olives, etc with your choice of veg, beef, or chicken. Living in West Seattle we are lacking a lot of fast food options, but since it has the best one...Taco Time, obviously... that is just fine with my boyfriend and I. We treat ourselves about twice a month and are never disappointed. The drive thru is accurate 99.99% of the time and always super friendly. Yes, the drive thru may take a while but it's because they are making your food and yes there's always a line, because said food is delicious. Crisp burritos, mexi-fries, their house made hot sauce (heat depends on the batch, sometimes it's crazy HOT), the sour cream ranch. The prices are a little high but we're happy to pay for quality and will be back again, and again...and again! read more

Like a robot my Mom orders the chicken soft taco here. I got a bowl of White chicken chili & true to form it was oddly pale. I put tomato sauce to make look like a chili color. I was in prison & they took no prisoners with their chicken chili. I have been daydreaming about it since I have been out. Not saying the soft taco was bad, I didn't eat it. I also had Beans & rice which tasted like Beans & gravel. Don't understand why restaurants just phone it in. Yes, true the labor market is very tight. If a baby can make better rice then u something is wrong. This location can't be beat. Only 10 minutes from my Mom's house. Even the traffic was still good. These guys should be getting 2 stars for their location. That isn't really hard work to softball some beans & rice which was a chinch portion mind you. Let me know if U know any place that has good rice & beans & a good portion. Not to mention the chili was very spicy. A woman there said it wasn't. I'm very low on the spicy scale. This Taco Time used to be exceptional. I know, really? I care that much about a Taco Time? But yes. The food used to be really fresh, hot and the staff was very friendly. Now my expectations are for typical fast food. Often cold, my order may be wrong and the staff isn't nearly as nice. I used to eat there often when in a pinch, but now I look for somewhere else to go. I hope they are able to get the food back up to the level it was. So, Taco Time is new to me. I'm from Hawaii where there are no Taco Times. And now that I'm here in Seattle and frequently dine (yes, dine) at Taco Time because I love them, I feel sorry for my Hawaii peeps. In the realm of fast food (or "quick dining" ), Taco Time rules. 1. Table service. How rad is that? 2. Super friendly service. The cashiers are always so nice and patient. The drive thru service is quick and friendly as well. 3. The food. I kind of see them as a more "down" version of Chipotle, if you know what I mean. Like, all or most of their food is locally farmed and harvested, all their plates, cups, utensils are compostable..so they're environmentally friendly and all that jazz, which I love. But they still have "deep fried" food. I'm addicted to the crisp burrito--all of them, chicken, beef, pinto&cheese. It's like a flauta or giant taquito. No frills. Just the meat rolled in a tortilla (some cheese with the chicken, but you get my drift) and deep fried. Simple but so good! The white chicken chili always hits the right spot, and omg, the churros! 4. Calorie count. They have a bunch of healthy options, too, but with all of their meals, they have the calorie breakdown if you're keeping track. They are also listed in certain apps like Lose It, which is an added bonus (to me). 5. Affordable. Fast food prices for better quality and better tasting food. And they have one of those beverage machines with a zillion flavor choices. Fun. I like that you can just grab a crisp burrito or just a chili for a quick bite, you know the calorie count, and it's good. I also like that you can hang back and eat in comfort in the restaurant if you choose...it's always clean (the times that I've been there). Oh and the women's restroom is pretty clean too. Watch out for high school football game nights though. They get pretty crowded. So yah, they're not zagat rated, and yes, they are basically fast food, but don't let that scare you away. They are only here in Washington, which is also pretty cool too. Sorry Hawaii, you'll just have to deal with Taco Bell :). I mean, :( read more

The year was 1962 my favorite year ever to be recorded. Not because of my mother's birth, not because of the Seattle worlds fair but for one reason only Taco Time. One of my all time favorite restaurants is "Taco time." With a nice, clean and helping staff serving you about 2 minutes after you order, you are sure to have a smile on your face when you leave. I have had some really good memories there. My family and I went there every other day when i was little. I loved my chicken filled soft taco but what i looked forward to the most was definitely their original, crispy, crunchy, fresh, hot, and potato filled Mexi-fries (a.k.a. tater tots ). Taco Time's staff is probably the best group of fun and hard working people. Once i dropped my soda on the ground, they brought out the mop and cleaned it up with a smile. They also asked if I wanted a free refill on my drink (One of the many things I like about Taco Time). Last but certainly not least, I love the kids meal toys. They always come up with a fun and creative toy to bring joy to little kids. Just recently I received a shark hat. Remember those are just the reasons I like Taco Time, you might have many different favorites from Taco Time. There is only one thing I don't like about Taco Time is that it is only located in the northwest.
