The locations are always spotless and the service 10 stars. There always seems to be a staff person that is clearly managing the whole restaurant and ensuring quality control. Whoever these staff are, maybe they are the managers they are like the captain of a ship that ensures great service. It's hard to find this even with managers that manage fast food places. Some may wear the shirt and don't do much. This approach is really appreciated and the consistency is key. I honestly go out of my way to find El Riconcito's. My friend and I were deciding what we should grab to eat for dinner, and I suggested Mexican food. We shared the Combo #64 (6 tacos) and Combo #67 (burrito), which also both come with an Antojitos Favoritos Soft Drink. There is a parking lot, but it is fairly small compared to how many different seating areas are inside the restaurant. We enjoyed the food very much but the restaurant itself was brightly lit, very loud and cold (it was cold outside). It does not offer table service (you order at the counter then take a number) and does not serve alcohol (I would have loved to order a beer). Instead of arguing, or asking for a manager, I just said forget it and left, and I am not likely to return for any reason. Why would I ever want to come back? Promotions are supposed to get new customer into your door. They don't work very well if you don't have your stuff together as an organization to support the promo, and your front line staff are not educated on what the promo is. Inform your staff. They need to do better as an organization. I will also note that I didn't want to have to leave a bad review on yelp to convey this information to the company. I simply wanted to send an email to someone on the leadership team or customer service, but they choose not to publish any contact information at all on their website (no phone number, no email, no corporate mailing address). I'm glad I found out about this place. Authentic al pastor tacos, and they actually use a trompo! I was delighted when I first walked in and noticed that beautiful rotating top of meat and pineapple. I believe this is the only El Rinconsito location that serves al pastor. The al pastor was very tasty. It had a good amount of spice and flavor, and just enough charred bits. Salsa selection was good, and the salsas weren't too watery (I like my salsas relatively thick, while many places in Seattle seem to make them kind of watery). Good amount of pineapple, onion, cilantro. Always love the bit of grilled onion on the side as well. There's a decent amount of parking and a good amount of tables in the restaurant. Would definitely try this place out if you're a taco fan. It's not the easiest for me to get to being in Burien but it is worth the drive. I had ordered my meals through Uber eats and within minutes my order was ready; as i walk in the cashier asked if i was picking up and she immediately handed my bag of food. I've had their burritos several times and it's always consistent in portion sizes and the ingredients taste fresh. They are generous with including the fixings like the grilled jalapeños, onions and pickled carrots. Their burritos are not overly greasy or messy; they are tightly wrapped and nice in presentation. While a tad expensive, i highly recommend including sour cream and guacamole for that extra umph. Don't be shy about trying alternative proteins besides the popular asada. I've had their chicken, lengua and tripa and they are each equally tasty. Certainly a good spot to go to for late night cravings. This place is the bomb!! Being from California I was looking for an authentic type taqueria and this place hits the spot! The gentleman that took our order was so gracious. We ordered a few different items and I was very surprised with how quickly our food was ready. They have a great selection on their menu - tacos, burritos, plates, soups - as well as a selection of hamburgers. Don't always see that at a taqueria! The price point is reasonable and the service is excellent. There is ample seating inside the restaurant and customers were spaced out at different tables eating their meals. In our case, we were coming here post-soccer match and heard that the Al Pastor tacos were bombbbbb. They weren't kidding. The Al Pastor is on a rotating spigot, topped pineapple (how it's done in Mexico City). I've only been to El Rinconsito a few times, but it is now my favorite Mexican place! The food is authentic, the prices are affordable, and the staff is extremely nice. Apparently this is a family-owned business with 14 locations in Washington state. They started with a food truck in Kent, but Burien was their first brick and mortar location. This restaurant is really easy for us to get to and they have a parking lot. El Rinconsito is definitely a casual place. It is kind of like an upscale Taco Time. You order your food at the front counter and sit down. Someone will bring your food to your table and someone will clear your table when you are finished. It is always busy when we go there, but our food never takes that long, which is amazing. The menu is huge. They have mainstream Mexican food like tacos and burritos, but they also have rarer dishes like pozole and menudo. They also have some stuff that I've never heard of! I recommend the tacos with carnitas (fried pork). You can order 3 - 6 tacos or the taco plate, which is three tacos served with rice, beans, and pico de gallo. Don't forget to visit the salsa bar! My husband likes Enchichimi, which is an enchilada and chimichanga with your choice of meat and served with rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole. For drinks, they have a fancy Coke machine (with tons of drink options and fruit flavors). They also have several Mexican drinks like Horchata on tap (I've never seen that before!).
