I usually don't leave reviews for fast food places, but I really love Taco Time NW and this location was an especially good experience. The staff was really friendly and helpful and was more than accommodating if I needed anything. The place was really clean and the parking lot wasn't too busy. The location is a bit hard to get to off Rainier but just pay attention and you should be fine. The food was good and I have no complaints and it was overall a really good experience. Would definitely recommend Taco Time to anyone and this location was great. read more

Not even worth one stat. When I showed up at 2 PM, the dinning room was closed. Customers were told to use the drive through. For many of use, wether it is because of medical disabilities, or not being able to afford a vehicle is Not happening. No, I will not jeopardize my safety be going to the drive up window. Yesterday I paid $17 for a soft taco, a crisp beef burrito and some tater tot fries, I ordered a lot because it was my only meal of the day. I come here to grab lunch and do lunch run's. The drive thru wait is never long, the speed is quick, ordering is easy and our orders are 99% correct each time, if not 100%. Food is fresh and tasty. If you have to go with fast food, this is one place that offers some healthier options than most places. Staff is friendly. They're pretty cool about substitutions and leaving out ingredients you don't want. One of their best features is the amazingly giant selection of drinks. If you know what drink you want, you can order it at the drive-thru but if you've never been there I suggest going in and checking out their computerized drink machine. It offers a huge variety of Coca-Cola products, many with flavor options (like lime, cherry and orange). I rarely drink soda, but I'll sometimes get a Diet Vanilla Coke because it's not offered everywhere. There are some locations of Taco Time that offer a full 106 flavors of drinks (with the ability to mix-and-match, of course). This location may not offer the full 106 flavors, but it's still pretty impressive. The location is in a slightly sketchy area, but I've never encountered any problems. The dining area could be a bit cleaner, but overall, this is probably my favorite fast food place. read more

This place seems to forget our orders half the time. This time we happen to check our order in the parking lot and realized that we were missing a crispy chicken taco in our fiesta platter... So we had to go back through the drive-thru again, wait in line and when they gave us the supposed correct burrito it turned out to be beef and not chicken and they also forgot the chips... It is impossible to get a hold of anyone seeing as how they've closed the dining room. I would like to manager to answer to this and as to why they're accuracy levels are so low. Statistically they perform worse than most other locations in sales and customer reviews. Reading `Fast Food Nation' turned me off to most fast food chains mostly due to their agressive and harmful marketing to kids, extremely poor treatment of employees and overall horrible franchise sales tactics. Taco Time seems to be delightfully exempt from these negative behaviors. My child likes the quesadilla kids meal and I like that the food here seems fresh and healthier than most other places. I also enjoy that I regularly feel like saying 'damn, that was good service' after going in or even in the drive through. I like that they offer some healthier alternatives as well as change up the menu just enough. Overall, for the price, this is a fine place to eat- and this location has always had friendly, knowledgeable and well trained staff. read more

This place has super sweet staff and really good food. The problem is in the middle of the covid 19 pandemic the 2 girls at the drive through stood shoulder to shoulder (literally). No masks on and they both touched my food. The young lady next to me not only touched my food she also handled the money. Ugh. If I didn't have to shove something in my face before packing up my apartment... If it wasn't right by where we picked up the truck... If he hadn't turned into this parking lot instead of some other horrific fast food joint... Well, I might have saved my face and stomach the sadness that was Taco Time. CW wanted the taco salad that I watched them slop together -- looked wholly unappetizing but he was at least sated with what he ordered. I hadn't been to a Taco Time in nearly... 8...years? I had no idea what to get. So a chicken and beef crisp burrito to see which I liked better. The chicken? Smooshy nasty leftover bits mixed with sour cream that was entirely disgusting. A couple bites and I just tossed that. The beef was barely edible but more so with healthy doses of salsa on top. The "mexi-fries" were the best part...and still left me feeling greasy and gross. $16 for the crap we were fed makes me cranky to think about. So with being so busy lately, I've been eating a bit more fast food than I would like. That being said, this Taco Time is super convenient as it's between the school and my home (mostly). For a Taco Time, this one is pretty great. The staff is always 100% friendly. The drive-thru workers are some of the cheeriest people I've ever encountered. I tend to get a soft taco, hold the ranch, add pico instead. In all my many, many times of eating here they've only messed that up once. I If you're going to go to a taco time, check this one out. Tex-Mex. I get it. In fact, in a way, I love it. What I don't love is caesar dressing in my burrito. I mean, I'm okay with "boneless skinless all white meat chicken" and salsa fresca; I've even opened up to the whole deranged concept of tater tots being included (sometimes featured) in these burgeoning new Texican inventions, and personally, have never balked at cabbage. I understand that sunflower seeds are great for getting in those mono-unsaturated fatty acids. But don't put caesar dressing in my burrito. Nor for that matter, romaine lettuce. These things are just wrong to be mixed with refried beans and taco sauce. Also, I've taken my time making burritos before, and certainly have been spoiled by the speedy results of Other Taco Joint, but, seriously? Twenty minutes to make a burrito (which is really a chicken caesar salad that forced its way into my burrito and caused no small amount of indigestion)? When I asked for a manager to find my "burrito," the ten year old working the register raised his hand. The child was polite and apologetic, but didn't hasten my receipt of said "burrito." Now, I understand there's not a ton of choices off of Rainier here, but for the sake of culinary and cultural respect, make the trek south a few miles for a more authentic (and edible) cuisine. read more

You can never say the words "Taco Time" to me unless you are prepared to go right then and there! I don't care that it isn't "real" Mexican food, eating it is like being cuddled by Jimmy Fallon on a bed of fluffy kittens- comforting and delicious. They serve tater tots with their meals....TATER TOTS! Delicious cylinders of potatoey magic. So much better than greasy, over-salted fries. Every location also has one of those fancy Coke Freestyle machines where they have more soda combinations than colors in a mega pack of Crayola crayons. Vanilla coke, sure. Raspberry lemonade, hell yeah. Orange ginger ale, you bet your sweet booty! Even better is the fact that they use fresh, locally sourced ingredients so everything tastes much better than normal fast food. Other fast food chains make me sick a lot of times because of the poor quality of their food. But Taco Time has never made me sick. It is slightly more pricey than the average fast food chain, but I see it as a non-issue due to the high quality and friendly staff. If it wouldn't make me look like a crazy person, I would seriously eat here everyday! read more

Taco time is one of my favorite Americanized Mexican Restaurants. The food here is always cooked to perfection (I've learned not all Taco Times in this city are created equally). I had an amazing interaction with the manager yesterday that will always keep me coming back. Long story short I complained about price increases(of course I noticed...I buy food here all of the time). Instead of the manager ignoring me, he informed me why prices were increased(they got some well deserved raises, he cracked a few jokes, and hooked me up with some extra sauce;). All in all I'm grateful for the experience, and I'm looking forward to going back. read more
