Zero stars if I could. Just found a fingernail in my mexi fries. Enough said. Do not go here.

You have to give Taco Time huge props just for building such a nice location being it is in a not so great part of town- this is one step to making Lake City Way a more friendly place to visit. The store is clean, staff was friendly and food was prepared quickly and correctly. It is nice to be able to get a somewhat healthy meal with grilled chicken and veggies served for a competitive price in a quick and friendly fashion. The hot sauce is great here and is self service so you can enjoy all you can handle. A wonderful new location in terms of building design and decor and a well run Taco Time. read more

I've worked in retail, food service, customer service so I'm generally a reasonably patient human. This taco time is the worst. Orders are wrong or missing pieces, and it's slow as hell. Crowning indignity: I went in this afternoon, nobody else was there or in the drive through I ordered two crisp tacos for a quick snack as I'd missed lunch and figured I'd grab them and be on my merry way. The restaurant was gross, tables dirty, food all over the floor in the kitchen, and my food never came out. 20 min later I had to yell into the back where the employees appeared to be just chatting and laughing. I asked for a refund and left without my food and without an explanation. This one just needs to close down, I think it's unfixable at this point. read more

This was the worst food ever from this taco time Ordered the fiesta meal with beef got bean instead. Tacos were stale something hard in my sour cream. The worst meal I've had in forever but will not be going back to that one You try and call the number listed and it's a fax number. I want my money back for beef I paid for. The guy working the window was in such a hurry and there was not a car in The lot or driveway This is the first review I've done but DO NOT EAT AT THE TACO TIME in LAKECITY. Taco Time - It was falling apart before even starting. It was a mess. Hard day for this location - Mexican Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Tried again and stopped by today. They almost got it right. I ordered a shrimp Baja taco and a fish Baja taco. The positive, they actually got the tacos I order right I left with tacos and even added napkins. The shrimp taco was good and made correctly, but the fish taco was missing the sauce. Two tortillas, fish and cabbage. They were so close to success. read more

I usually love Taco Time. It seems like every location in Seattle functions better than Lake City. I have gotten a few good items from here, but 80% of the time the portions are lacking or there's missing ingredients. The main complaint-100% of the time the service is so slow. The employees don't care at alllll, not sure if that's a reflection of management or issues with payment. Today in the drive thru I watched an employee talk with another as I was waiting for my order. Apparently they were waiting for fresh fries...but didn't proceed to make the rest of my order during that time. I sat at the window for 15min with my car running and crying baby in the backseat. After arriving at home i looked at my order and they made the smallest taco I've ever seen rolled with COLD fries. The lettuce inside the taco was slimy as well like it hadn't been rinsed or was leftover from the day before. Why I bother paying $10 for this is beyond me. I think today was my last chance for this location. They really need to step it up. read more

While I'm a supporter of Taco Time and it's NW heritage, this location is terrible. Nothing like its sister shops which generally exemplify all the qualities you want in fast food. Fresh, quick, and a great value. This place has a SLOW drive thru....Branched out and tried the new Coconut Shrimp Soft Taco...it was cold by the time I got it. Have only been inside one other time and I remember the lobby and dinning areas being messy. If this location is owned and operated by the Tonkin family...PLEASE INVEST TIME AND MONEY INTO WHIPPING THIS PLACE INTO SHAPE LIKE YOUR OTHER LOCATIONS read more

I've been to this TT location twice since moving to the area....and I will not be returning. First time about a month ago, the drive-thru took awhile. Unfortunate, but it was busy, I got it. The problem was Items had cheese when I said NO CHEESE. Dairy allergy. Common fast food lack of attention to detail. Fine. Second time was last night near closing time. Drive thru was not too busy (yea!) but the order fulfillment was worse. Checked my bag quick, looked good, left, got halfway home double-checked the bag...it's missing 2 fish tacos?! Won't make it back before they close. Call the number, it's a fax line. $13 donation to Taco Time I guess. Get home, what I do have is LOADED with cheese and the drinks are mostly ice. This place is not worth it. read more

If I could give a minus star for this location I would! I go thru the drive thru regularly and won't EVER return to this Taco Time location after the service I received today! Had to repeat a single taco order three times along with a water with no ice and correct them when they were charging me for a soda. Got to the window and my water had ice and my taco had the wrong kind of meat. After waiting behind cars for 10 min the manager tried to get me to move forward saying, " I was inconveniencing other customers" because I wanted my taco made correctly. Geeze, please hire people that can hear a simple "Fish Baja taco, a hot sauce and small water with no ice" order. I guess I can't expect the manager to hire employees who listen since all she did was interrupt me read more

The drive thru took 10 minutes for one kids meal, only one car ahead of us. Is this fast food?

I love Taco Time but this is the worst TT food I've ever had! The fried food was all reheated in the fryer for 2 maybe 3 times..super overcooked and gross! The rice was hard, food was cold. Best part of our meal were the condiments and our drinks. When I pay over $20 bucks for a meal for 2 people I expect it to be good and fresh. This definitely was not. read more

I don't usually yelp, however, this was the worst taco time experience I've ever had. My mom and I love TT so we were happy to have one down the street, finally. Tonight we went down there to bring some food home. None of the 3 burritos we ordered were correct, the guy taking the orders did not let me finish my order before sending me through to the window, we paid for a side of sour cream and never got it, plus, once he knew he was wrong, he wouldn't come back to the window. Even had someone else give us the bag of food. I am in the service industry so I understand the occasional rough night, busy through the holidays, etc. But that should never take away from having and trying to put a smile on everyone's face. Merry Christmas, lake city TT, I hope you get better at life next year. End rant. read more

A Taco Time just minutes from my apartment? Dangerous. But dang, how could you resist? As far as the food goes--it's Taco Time. If you've had it, you know how good it is. I consider it somewhere in between fast food and a sitdown Mexican restaurant without the hipstery-ness of its cousin Chipotle. Easily better than the Taco Bell down the street, because--hello--tater tots. This is a really nice Taco TIme. They even have a television! Although it was showing some weird kid's show, so I wasn't paying it much attention--but still--nice touch. As usual, the staff is very friendly and will bring the food to your table. They were even walking by another table, noticed they were low on salsa, and brought them a new cup-full! Good stuff as usual, Taco Time. read more

Incredibly long wait just to get the wrong order. When I drove all the way back and tried to explain I must have got the wrong bag since I didn't just have the wrong meal but was missing an additional taco. Ended up leaving without food to eat because the cashier was so rude. This isn't my first experience with them getting an order wrong but this was by far the worst way it's been handled. read more

This is a terrible Taco Time. Yet again, I went through the drive-thru and my order was messed up. I keep hoping that they'll get better and trying them out, and they keep messing up. At first I thought it was just me, but it appears from the other reviews that this is consistent across the board. Frankly, they should just shut this one down, I've never had bad experience at other locations. So, if you're considering going to this Taco Time, learn from my repeated mistakes and check your order before you leave the window. Also, food is sometimes mislabeled, so you may want to bite into that beef burrito and make sure it's not actually chicken. Or, maybe just don't go. I won't be, now that I'm out another $5.99 on a burrito I didn't get. read more

Came here again to try and see if they can redeem themselves. Another epic fail! 9:07 p.m. And someone in a truck told me they are closed. Hi Brandon P., Please instead of giving copy paste replies and telling people to visit a website to only complain again, you need to get someone from corporate to get in their car then go thru the drive-thru and experience the travesty of probably one of the worst Taco Time in Washington State. The location is fine, it's the employees that don't seem to care about customers or serving food as Taco Time should be serving to the public. My food was cold and my order was incorrect, it's basic robbery. Also the food line had left over scraps of food all over the prep area, if I get a copy and paste reply I will be contacting; https://www.doh.wa.gov/AboutUs/ContactUs Thank you read more

Worst Customer Service. Not greeted when I came into store with 3 crew at counter. Waited in Line and the 1st thing the young kid at counter said was "here or to go?" We have been to a number of Taco Time restaurants in and around Seattle. Unfortunately this is the worst one we have been. Their dining room is roomy and comfortable like others. But service was bad. Straight face cashiers at the counter, very slow taking orders, and long wait for food - even at 11am when it not busy at all. The corn chowder and the beef soft taco were much saltier than usual. The container with lemon wedges at the drink counter had no scoop or tong (do people all use their bare hand in that??) I'm sure there are better choice for fast food restaurants in the lake city area than this taco time. read more

Like Joe Pesci in Lethal Weapon, f***ed at the drive-thru. They literally got everything in our order wrong after waiting for 20 minutes. And what little wasn't poorly prepared (tater tots) was drowning in the half open hot sauce they left in the bag upside down. A zero star experience! read more

Sweet baby Jesus, will someone please fix this place? I love Taco Time unashamedly and was so excited to be moving back to the PNW so I could get my fix on the regular. But wouldn't you know it, I moved right next to the worst Taco Time in existence. Have they ever got my order right? Maybe once or twice. The food quality is mediocre (what the hell do they do to the Crustos here?). The employees treat me like human garbage. And like a bad relationship, I keep going back. Please, please, please - this place is an embarrassment to the franchise. Fix it! read more

I visited the Lake City Taco Time drive through at 8 pm. The music was blaring so loud it made it hard to hear the employee completely. It appeared they were already in closing/clean down mode with dirty metal containers stacked on the stainless warming/prep station, a large black plastic tote of ground beef balancing on the edge of the counter with sauce being ladled out of a white plastic bucket onto my order which was being prepared on a small corner of the station. After bagging my order, they checked if tomatoes had been held from soft taco by opening up the taco, removing them by hand and rewrapping to place back in my bag. There was easily 1 more hour prior to closing and I can only assume I was not the last customer. When I got home, the food was cold, unappealing and after one bite I had to throw it away. I am finding myself up at 4am with stomach cramps. Never again will I visit this store! Unprofessional, unclean, unappealing and poor judgement! read more

This marks my very first Yelp review. Like many long time "lurkers" or Yelp users I often find myself post dining experience saying things along the lines of "wow that was such an outstanding experience I'm going to write my first yelp review, that's how much I loved this place" or "gee whiz that server was so rude, I'm going to write a yelp thing" but inevitably my laziness sets in and I fail to post a review. However, today's dining experience with Taco Time changed everything. It was that bad. The bad was so bad it has inspired my hungover self to write this review. First and foremost, Taco Time? don't put the highest 19 year old kid anyone has ever met in front of the register. This young weed child wished me a happy Tuesday. It's Sunday. Also, had to triple check my order because he couldn't spell chicken and confused rice for "a side of spicy ranch" 7 times. Moving on. It took the "cooks" close to 30 minutes to prepare my order to go, with no explanation from the staff. In their defense "order 99" can often times because confused with "order 66". All in the all the food was horrendous, the service resembled the worst part of renewing your license at the DMV on a hot sweaty day with no AC. Not impressed. You should quit, but thanks for finally inspiring me to write a review. read more

Ok so I understand that restaurants go thru issues - someone doesn't show, there's a problem whatever... But when you're in a pickle haven't eaten all day and looking for a quick bite, it's very frustrating to sit in a drive thru line for 20+ minutes! If I knew it would take that long, def would have gone with other options or walked inside! There should have been a point where staff or manager warned folks before getting into a line with a barrier to which it would be hard to escape. Having a car I wouldn't have been drive over a cement curb.. Anyways knowing that customers were frustrated could see them going back and forth with the drive thru worker.. Word of advice- have the upset customer pull over and expedite the line and have a manager walk out and deal with them. It's just adding aggravation to everyone else in line. Starving, and irritated had to bail! read more

I've been to this branch (Lake City Way) 3 times already - the first time being just 5 days after opening. I'm ecstatic about having a Taco Time so close to home! And I'm probably going there later today. This place has a small fountain out front, lots of parking, a drive-through, a double-sided television in the seating area, and one of those carbonated beverage dispensers that serves up way more flavors than you could ever want! Plus, there is a small park just next door. I esp. like the Southwest Chop Salad. I was happy to see that this was available with not only beef or chicken, but also beans. But unless you ask, you will get refried beans. (I understand that if you request it, you can get whole beans.) Yes, on my first visit (not long after they opened this branch), the Mexi-Fries were not as crunchy as I like, but since then, there has not been a problem. Just like the other reviewer who said that Taco Time is in-between a fast-food place and a sit-down restaurant, I feel the same about it. There is always a good amount of staff, orders are taken with a smile, and are brought to your table. The place (including the restroom) is very clean read more

Literally the slowest taco Time of all time. Eat somewhere else or wait for eternity in the drive thru.

The Taco Time in Lake City is horrible. The staff always seem to be put out when you walk in. No greeting. No smile. Surly. Rude. The food is 50/50 on whether it will be fresh and hot or not. The tables are always a mess. The majority of the sodas always seem to be out. And service is always slooow. Is it only the same 2 people that run it? Is it their own franchise and they're just struggling financially with it? What's up? Anyway, I'm done coming to the LCW one... read more

It wasn't until I went to a different taco time when I realized how sub-par the lake city taco time really is. The tater tots are barely warm and soggy. The tacos that I pay $6 for has barely any meat and the ingredients are not well distributed so each bite is a surprise...mostly tortilla or a mouth full of just lettuce. The employees aren't much better. While a order taker furiously works there are at least 3 others standing around not doing anything but talking about things not work related. They need to step it up. Crispier tots that are hot-tacos that are well made and employees that are able to work well together to create a more pleasant experience. read more

I cannot figure out why I haven't given up completely on this location. Maybe it's the usually polite drive thru guy, who has great art and is always so nice..... cause the food is always a mess. My mini beef soft taco always has a split tortilla, always. However my burrito, with heavy sauce and cheese is always yummy and flavors are good, so I come back.... tonight may have changed this. I went inside to order cause of the line in the drive thru. I was helped by a young, newer guy, who took my order great. Not flustered or panicked. A few people came in right after each other and he held it together and when he did need help, the lady working in the drive through, was a brat to him. And continued to be. Yelling at him while he trying to take orders. I gave him kudos before I left because I think he did great. He was clearly new, and instead of helping him learn, it felt like they were setting him up for failure. When In fact, those cook line workers ruined the one thing I look forward to.... my burrito....which is split and was so when they wrapped it. So disappointing. read more

It looks like the owner of this taco Time is responding to the negative reviews but actually doing nothing to fix this endemic problem. I went back after some pretty sub par customer experiences only to find the same issue. I waited at the counter for five minutes while I watched employees stroll out the back door to smoke. I have zero patience at this location and left. A few months back a counter person was telling everybody that the credit card machines were down... Cash only... Riiiiiggt.
