Horrible service !!! Food over priced !! Would not make these people rich on bad food.

    Now Open in Cedar Park!

I hate giving crappy reviews unless the service is really crappy. I used to go to Taco Cabana all the time for my Mexican takeout. I grew up in San Antonio and always love them. Until they started screwed up every order that I made. I was thrilled when taco Palenque opened in Round Rock, and now in Cedar Park. This gave me a slightly higher, priced, but much better quality, takeout, Mexican food. This afternoon I stopped by for a quick visit and to place an order. I ordered inside, and there was no line at the counter. There were two tables that were already eating their food. They were clearly not busy, however, somehow I still received an incomplete order. I I thought my order was very simple and it wouldn't get screwed up! I ordered 1 mole enchilada plate. 12 bean and cheese tacos and 1 $5.99 Pirata taco. I looked in the bag when they gave it to me and it looked like everything was complete. I was relieved and drove 30 minutes to get home. When I got home, I counted out the 12 bean & cheese tacos --no problem, order as expected. I saw the mole enchiladas--no problem as expected, but where was the $5.99 Prirata taco?? I know it's always "buyer beware". however, I never had this issue with a previous order at Taco. Palenque. Next time, I will pull everything out of the bag and display it on the table to make sure the order is correct. This is ridiculous. I seriously wonder if Taco Palenque hired staff from taco cabana???? If they would've got a new order correct this would've been a five star review ! :-(

Pulled into the drive-thru because, well, errands don't run themselves, and left with a $19 bowl of mediocrity. I got the menudo with flour tortillas, and while the tortillas were decent (not fooling anyone that they're homemade), the menudo initially tasted like someone forgot to invite flavor to the party. Thankfully, a lemon wedge, a sprinkle of cilantro, and a healthy dose of salsa came to the rescue, turning "meh-nudo" into something I could respectably eat. Portion-wise, it was a bit on the smaller side, though the tripe count was solid--if that's your jam. But the $19 price tag for menudo and a medium soda? That one hit harder than the lemon juice. Service was friendly, even if English wasn't fully in their wheelhouse. They got my order right, though, so no complaints there. Overall, 3/5 stars: it's edible, it's an experience, but maybe hit the ATM first because your wallet's gonna feel it.

Solid breakfast tacos. They use freshly made tortillas that are thin and tasty. Really like that in a flour tortilla. The Barbacoa taco is excellent. Chorizo and egg taco is also really good. Love their Salsa bar. Good options and plenty of freshly cut onions and cilantro to complement your meal. Service was fast and friendly.

The inside is nice. Staff was welcoming. I like their salsa bar and most of the salsas are really good. We came here for a change of pace from our normal taco places. At the end of the day, the tacos are good with the tortillas being a tad chewy. Wish they had more substance to them as we thought the amount of meat was on the skimpy end. I'd classify them as typical and average. Nothing exception but worth a visit.

Taco Palenque started in the valley and is now opening location around the Austin area. They offer fast food options of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, abd other Tex mex items. They have a full complimentary salsa bar with any purchase. One thing that surprised me about this place was it wasn't cheap for what we got and the quality of food. I spent over $40 for the both of us. For the quality of food that you get for the price I will definitely be going somewhere else. The service was good and the restaurant was clean and presentable.

I will never return to this location. Tonight's visit was a disaster! After I paid, I checked our receipt and noticed the order was wrong (not sure why they don't repeat the orders back to you at the drive thru - I probably should have asked before pulling up to the window), we notified them but they said they had already made the food. So I opted to be nice and just take the food. When I got home, I was frustrated to see the tacos were less than half way full, with only a tablespoon of meat in each one. This sadly is not the first time this has happened to me- but it will be the last!

Heard that the owner of Taco Palenque is the same owner of El Pollo Loco which is a CA Chain. Here is what we ordered: Fajita taco Sirloin taco Barbacoa Taco Matamoros Taco Super Fajita Quesadilla My favorite was the Matamoros. The other tacos were good I just like my tacos to have some toppings. The other tacos simply come with the meat inside the tortilla and you can add your own topping. They do have a variety of salsas, tortilla chips, radish and such on the side as self serve option. The quesadilla was a bit too oily for me. Service at the cedar park location was great. They brought our tacos out first and we waited a while for our quesadilla. They were busy when we went so it may have been forgotten but they did apologize for it when i mentioned it to them that I was waiting for it and they gave us a Tres Leche dessert on the house. I do appreciate this location having a drive- thru option for those lazy days that you just want to grab food and go home. If you crave tacos, try them. We had the street sirloin tacos and it was good. For $11 you do get 4 small street tacos so it wasn't bad to try for taco Tuesday. The ambiance is very much of a chain taco join. But the place was clean and the workers kept cleaning the tables & cleaning the area of the salsa bar.

Warning: I ordered one molé enchilada and a beef taco. Had chips and salsa at their unlimited salsa bar. I ate the green creamy salsa and chips. Did not eat anything else after this and five hours or so later- I WAS SO SICK. Throwing up and had cold sweats and was in the bathroom for a while. Unless you want this special experience- come and eat molè and their green salsa here. Fun times! Fast food style ordering. Friendly staff but this bathroom experience is NOT WORTH chancing it at this place. A day later and my tummy still feels sour. Never again!!!

The service here was quick, and everyone was very nice. We ordered the two carne Asada taco combo, fajita nachos, and everything was delicious! We will be back! You must give this cute little place a try! Forgot to mention there is a full salsa bar with chips and special toppings.
