I tried them even though they're not really my personal preference, but I appreciated that they offer those authentic options. What really stood out was the hospitality. The gentleman working there was awesome. He showed us the barbecue pit and even gave me a taste of fresh lamb barbacoa straight from the pit, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. At the end they were already cleaning up and closing, but I asked for a jamaica and he still brought it over and didn't even charge me for it. Great food, authentic cooking, and genuinely friendly people. It felt more like a family cookout than a restaurant, and I'd definitely come back.
