Food is decent, but nothing exceptional. Service is friendly but it takes a while for food to arrive. Chilaquiles taco was a disastrous mess - impossible to eat as a taco. Tacos are also pretty small compared to other local breakfast taco options. Chilaquiles Tere was absolutely delicious. The seating options are odd. Half of the restaurant is bar height seating and the other half is equipped with those incredibly uncomfortable cheap iron chairs. My wife and I used to frequent this restaurant, and during COVID (2020) would go pickup meals and their Mango Margarita to go. Today - I ordered food and Margaritas online for me to pickup. When I got home with the food and drinks I find that the "bistek taco" is only a single taco... (but the picture shows 2 tacos) so I got home and find we were 2 tacos short since I placed an order of one with flour and one with corn. The description does not say that it is a single taco... my mistake in believing $5 was for only a single taco. These tacos are small and certainly not worth $5 each... and the picture or text should spell that out. Then on top of it all - there was an automatic charge of 20% tip (and I picked up - there was no delivery). This will be the last time here.... We like their Mango Margaritas but it is not worth what we are paying... read more

Food: Great! The chips & salsa were great. The salsa had a smoky flavor that made it addictive, and the chips were great. The tacos were delicious as well. What's cool is that you can order tacos individually or order a plate combo that comes with rice & beans (which were tasty as well). The Crema Enchiladas were great too. No complaints. We had the El Vampiro & the Mangonada drinks. I don't think the El Vampiro paired well with the meals, but it was still good! The Service: our waitress was friendly. She kind of disappeared near the end of our meal when it came to check out. I'm not sure what happened there. We were still greeted by another individual who helped us check out. Ambiance: the restaurant seemed a bit small when you walked inside, but the tables were very roomy, and it looks like they can host bigger tables if needed. Started off great and quickly dwindled. Menudo tasted like it was out of a can. Looked extremely dark in color, somewhat bitter. I don't know how many limes I used but it didn't help. I may have had 4 spoons worth and I returned it with a bowl full of menudo still left.When it was time for the ticket, server still had the charge of menudo on my ticket. I refreshed her memory as to me returning the dish and why and she said I hadn't complained enough so I wouldn't get a refund. I asked to speak to a manager, and then it magically disappeared. The waiter was slow never checked to see if we needed anything which probably didn't matter since the things we did request either didn't come or took forever to come . Frozen margaritas are a great option here especially during hot weather days. Ambiance is not fine dining and very casual. Outdoor areas had misters. I got service quickly and bar had plenty of room and tvs. Food was good but not great. Chicken was tender but there wasn't much flavor too it, their sauces helped add the flavor. My husband and I love going here for the Al pastor tacos. We got the chile con queso with chorizo this last time and it was delicious. He loves the mangonada and I love the draft beer with lime a salt. The service is mostly good when we go, but can be slow at times. Our friends introduced us and we like to meet up for dinner and hang out for a bit so time is not an issue at those meals. We will be back I'm sure. read more

Used to be my favorite place for Al pastor tacos. They had the street tacos with a light bit of oil on the tortillas and the meat was amazing. Now the tortillas are dry the meat had solid not have a good flavor anymore, they served it with almost a half onion in the meat. This makes me sad cause this place used to be my favorite. Just visited this place for the first time. Very mixed experience, the food that we had there was great, the ambience and the overall of the restaurant was great. They were great music. The server we had was very kind, however, the app we ordered never came, I received my food very quickly I finished my food before our server came back which is when we asked when my partners dinner would come out. She seemed shocked we hadn't received it and said she'd put it in again. I ended up ordering dessert and his food still wasn't out. As far as Mexican food, and Pflugerville goes, this is probably our go to spot. Unfortunately, as we all know the Pflugerville food options are quite limited. However, we are glad to have El taquito nearby as an option for tacos and margaritas. All of the staff at this restaurant are very nice and knowledgeable. It is always clean, and the ambience is fun. We order from here to go occasionally, and our food is always ready on time and they even have a drive-through window (although it can take a little bit longer for them to notice that you are at the window lol). read more

After moving to this area I was seriously let down by the main Mexican food place in town, El Taquitos has a solid Mexican martini, chips and salsa on point and the tacos are the way I like, individual if you want or with rice and beans. Great vibe as soon as you walk in. The waitress was friendly and efficient. I had a malinga (cucumber kiwi margarita), delicious. The ceviche was fresh, a perfect portion and delicious as well. This place is bomb! Micheladas- Yes Yes and Yes!! Its Spicy and not too much tomato. They use their own mix, not some BS Zingzag (copyright) or any of that mess. Went for a quick bite on 3/12/22. The place is very cute and looks like a Cheers type of MEXICAN restaurant. Everyone seemed to know someone. The server was very nice and knew his job. Unfortunately their standards, quality and "authenticity" have declined. Our take out order has either over cooked, nuked or several days old rice. It's hard to tell the difference. Breakfast tacos are delicious! Super fresh and I love that you build your own. Tortillas should always be hot and these were spot on. The corn tortilla did fall apart a bit on me but I had put a lot of salsa on it. I've come for dinner and had the consume with tacos. Super great hangover food! A real nice dinner tonight at El Taquito Urbano. We had salsa and guacamole with chips with Modelo beer. I also had 3 tacos with beans and rice. The food was delicious. The salsa was spicy and thick and the guacamole was sweet and creamy along with the chips it was an amazing appetizer. The tacos were fresh and not too greasy. They had just enough meat and with cilantro and lime very delicious. The brown beans were really tasty too. The rice was not overcooked so it was very good as well. The service was excellent. The food came quickly and the server came often but not too much. The restaurant was clean and the lighting was decent. They are not afraid to show what they look like. Ordered take out and was told it would be ready for pick up at 1:33. We got there at 1:29 and our food wasn't ready until 1:55. I don't think they started making it until we got there. After standing there for 15 min they told me they were out of ground beef and chicken so the enchiladas would be just cheese and no meat on the nachos, and no refund for that. Four stars for now since it was my first visit. We came in on a Sunday around 1:30pm thinking it wouldn't be as busy. We waited to get somebody's attention to be seated. Once we were seated we had great service! Our server was attentive and very nice. She gave us updates on our food and made sure we were ok. They have a bar area with TVs playing. Great for catching a game. They brought the chips and salsa out. We saw another table had two more salsas in a squeeze bottle. We need that too lol! We asked for it and the salsas were good. I tried the guisado plate with bistek ranchero. It was good and definitely comes with a great amount of food. The guisado plates comes with your choice of stewed meat - carne guisada, bistek ranchero or asado de puerco. I left with my belly full and I was happy. This place is a great authentic Mexican food restaurant and the ONLY thing I will tell you that if you come here FRIDAY night it gets crazy busy. Most other days you should have great food and service. My favorite dish is the "The especial" with Bistek and if you plan on having a drink Valentina and Ian make some of the best drinks. This place is pretty awesome for food and drinks. However, my experience each time with waiting to be seated and to receive my food has been slow. They are very polite and do keep you updated as you wait. I will say when you're waiting for a table there isn't much of a place to sit and wait. They do have a bench, but as you know with many places that tend to get busy seating will be limited as you wait. They have an outside covered seating area and they allow you to bring your pets in that location only. There is a nice bar setup with beer on tap and two margarita machines. Their breakfast tacos are delicious, my favorite is the Al Pastor tacos with all the toppings to include pine apples. We came here on Sunday and man this place was busy and man they ran out of menudo so we didn't get a chance to try their menudo out. My family decided to try a different restaurant and went with El Taquito since it's close to our house and we've never been. We ordered dinner to go and was not impressed with the food. I wish this place was a bit closer to home, as the handful of time we have went it has been great. We are always in the mood for mexican food and with Willies being packed this was an easy choice. Service was next to amazing....the servers name was Marifer and we Will be asking for her next time we go....Not just good with us , but dang good at her job....and the food was the cherry on top. I love the fact they bring you a Carafe of water. We started with Queso, Chips and Salsa. Make sure you ask for the other salsas they offer....Brave?...ask for the red salsa in the little bottle...Pure Fire and Delicious. Wife went with the 6 mini tacos, no onion/cilantro with Carnitas and the Barbacoa...Both were excellent but the Carnitas hands down was better....I went with A barbacoa taco and a beef fajita taco both loaded...Both were fantastic with no favorite for me....Also had a cup of Pozole soup which was rich in flavor and loaded with goodies.
