Five stars for the freshness, quality and variations of choices (tacos, burritos and quesadillas). The only cautionary remark is that seating can be challenging during peak eating times. We drive past the national chains that are similar in concept to have a much better experience at Taco Maya. Definitely worth the additional mileage! Regardless of your choice for the main selection, this review is not complete without sharing two recommendations. An order of chips and guacamole to share is a must, even if you need to ask for a bag for leftovers. Taco Maya is delicious. Our favorite place for a quick burrito or taco. There are may options for meat, too. The "choose what you want" aspect is great and while a *little* pricy, the food is delicious. You can choose between Spanish and Mexican rice, pinto and black beans, etc. With a burrito you also get a side of chips, something that doesn't come with a quesadilla. The many varieties of salsa here is great for whatever your in the mood for. Seating my be a little tough the find because the building is quite small, but you can always get your food to go. Make sure to visit if you are around here, and definitely try out the Chicken Al Pastor burrito. read more

I know Chester County is spoiled with great Mexican food, from El Limon to places I'm not even sure the names in Kenneth Square, but this place was worse than chipotle. I had a chorizo/Barbados burrito. It tasted like something my Pennsylvania Dutch grandmother would have made if she read a Mexican recipe in a Betty Crocker magazine....bland. They also did some crazy Mexican math and added and extra $1.50. Maybe that was for the 10 chips (that look like bagged chips) and 1.5 oz of crappy salsa I didn't ask for. If you like real Mexican go to el limon. If you like watered down American Mexican go to chipotle, save a few dollars, and get fresher and tastier ingredients. Stay away from this place. read more

I went to Taco Maya this weekend and had a chicken burrito. Size wise, I would put it on the same scale as a chipotle burrito, only 100% better tasting. Definitely get their queso on your tacos/burritos. I thought it was fairly priced considering you get a side of chips and salsa, too. I would say the service was so/so. They seemed alright, but the guy at the register seemed unhappy to be there. Inside the restaurant is cute with Mexican decor and a variety of booths and tables. Taco Maya is an unassuming little establishment in an unassuming parking lot in an unassuming shopping center. However, resist all inclinations to make assumptions. The food inside is fantastic! Offerings are typical for a Mexican resturaunt...burritos, quesadillas, tacos, enchaladas, and tamales. The meat offerings are more interesting...carnitas, and several chicken and steak variations with different seasonings and preparations. You can choose your burrito extras..hmm, lettuce, tomato and onion, or pico, cilantro, and pepper? All toppings were very fresh and flavorful. I ended up with a chicken burrito- excellent- but the second trip to the counter starred a chicken with mole sauce tamale, which was excellent (3.50?).Additional chips and salsa were $2.75...I forget the prices of the burritos. Facility was really clean. Counter workers were friendly. Unfortunately, it is a few turnpike exits away, else it would be a new favorite for Mexican! read more

I liked their food when they moved to their new location. But slowly it has gone downhill. Particularly with their customer service. I asked for Chicken Tortilla soup to go. Upon seeing that he put Tortilla Strips directly in the soup instead of giving on side to avoid them being soggy when I get to eat them.
