Love Taco Mac beer and food but tonight was probably one of the worst. Sat at the bar and probably the most unfriendly bartenders ever. I enjoy joking around and I know folks are busy but you can be better than this. I generally pullout $20 for great company so it's your loss. read more

I was in Atlanta for work 5+ years ago and frequented taco Mac in midtown. I was super excited to be in McDonough overnight but didn't have the best experience at this Taco Mac. We ordered beer, an appetizer, and wings and both made it to the table BEFORE our beer! Not only that but the manager delivered our wings and when he asked if we needed anything we just mentioned our beers so he went to "look into it". Finally we got our beers, but the poor customer service unfortunately left a bad vibe. The manager only said that the girl behind the bar was "overwhelmed" and "didn't ask for help".... a little unprofessional for him to say to us and not offer anything besides the above explanation. There was at max 5 tables of people so It's doubtful that at 10:30 PM on a Sunday the bartender was "overwhelmed". read more

This was a great place to dine a few months back. My autistic son loves the wings there. Not sure what has happened.. food was still good but the place is filthy and service is miss managed. We sat for over 40 minutes waiting on our food and beverages. We witnessed many people dine and leave... staff would remove the dirty dishes and trash..... 2 out of 12 tables where not wiped down or cleaned in any way before the next guest was sat down. We will not be back. read more

I called in an order of 30 roasted wings with blue cheese, celery, and a side order of tater tots. When I can to pick up my order, I checked my order and found 3 containers of blue cheese dressing inside the sealed aluminum pan with hot ( in temperature)chicken wings. I requested 3 new containers of blue cheese and a side of Asian sweet heat sauce which I had requested when I placed my order. The cashier, Ashlyn, informed me that they had ran out of the sweet heat sauce, but they had just made some more and would bring me out some. I also asked for more celery because they only gave me 4 pieces of celery to go with 30 wings and they also put the celery in a piece of parchment paper and placed it inside of the hot (in temperature) aluminum wing pan as well. The cashier said no problem, I'll be right back. A few moments later, an employee named Asia brought out the celery. Another few moments go by and hear Asia in the kitchen yelling that she has a problem with me because every time I come, I have an issue about the blue cheese dressing. **About a month ago, I placed the same order and had the same issue about the blue cheese dressing being placed in the hot container. The same employee, Asia, felt the need to have an issue the last time as well because I asked for new containers of blue cheese dressing** 30 seconds later a manager, Keisha, comes out of the kitchen with 3 new containers of blue cheese dressing asking what is the problem. I inquired what problem was there because I didn't request a manager, I simply asked for new dressing that wasn't hot. I told her that I thought is completely inappropriate and unprofessional for the employee, Asia, to be in the kitchen talking negatively and loudly about me. She stated that she didn't know what I was talking about and that the employee wasn't talking about me, she was discussing all of the orders. I explained to the manager that I'm not stupid and that I know she was talking about me because she had an issue the last time I came about me asking for more blue cheese dressing. The manager stated that she wasn't aware of this issue before and that I must have spoken to a different manager. She proceeded to go get the bar manager, Chasity. Chasity came to the To Go Order counter and stated that she remembered me having the same issue before and asked if the other manager, Keisha, had gotten me some new blue cheese. I told her that my issue was that Asia had blatantly disrespected me and the other manager, Keisha, allowed it to happen. I asked for Keisha to return to speak to me, but she never came. I asked an employee, Jason Tool, to go get Keisha for me. It took a while for him to return, so in the mean time I asked another employee to get Keisha. The employee called Keisha's name and asked her to come speak with. However, she never came. A few minutes later, Jason returned and explained that Keisha would not be returning to talk to me because she simply did not want to. He stated that he was also a manager and asked if I had all of my food and the blue cheese dressing because if I did there was nothing else to talk about. I asked him so if a customer requests to speak to a manager they can refuse the customer's request. He stated that Keisha did not have to speak to me if she doesn't want to. I explained to him what the issue was today and advised him that the issue was not related to him which is why I requested to speak to Keisha who was a witness to the first-hand disrespect by the employee, Asia. I explained to him that if I am spending my money at their restaurant and ask for different blue cheese that it shouldn't have been an issue and that I felt very disrespected. He said that if he were in the same situation, an employee's disrespect would not have phased him and that he would have gone on about his day. His solution to the issue at hand was that if I have such a problem with the restaurant, then I should not return again. I asked him to confirm that his solution to me being disrespected by his employee was not to patronize their business anymore and he confirmed that that was exactly what he had said and suggested. I asked him if he has a policy to let employees disrespect their customers. He stated that he would address the issue with the employee and that he has nothing else to say to me. I asked for his name so that I can call the corporate office. He spelled his name out for me and stated that I was welcome to call corporate and advised that they won't do anything about my issues. read more

Went to the Taco Mac- was totally empty and sat at the table that had grease stains- asked to have it cleaned. Then had to get up and ask for service after sitting for 15 minutes while employees wandered by the kitchen THE PLACE WAS EMPTY!! Finally the bartender got us drinks, but still no server. Decided to finally leave, and while our friend was asking for the bill overheard, "I don't want that table, I'm about to go on break." Worst management and service ever. Avoid at all costs. I had a very good experience here. The food was hot and very flavorful. I had the 10 piece wings with onion rings and a soda as my drink. The drinks were good but the best part was our waitress, Tenner. She had a very unique personality and was literally had me and my friends in stitches. Not only did she make sure our food and the service was to our liking, she had exceptional communications skills. Interacting with her made me feel like I was talking to my cousin or aunt. I will be back soon and when I do I will be asking for Tenner's section. read more

Drinks were outstanding and our server was really nice. She took the time to explain the drinks and the different types of beers. The steak was a bit chewy but other than that, I had a great time. I definitely would visit this establishment again. The hostess as well as other members of the wait staff were very hospitable and friendly. read more

Really good sports bar, great beer list, with the only reason it's not 5 star is that service is a little inconsistent. We've been here twice, once had great service, 5 star easy, once had a waitress who seemed over-stretched with tables. However, it's definitely worth a stop if you like local beer! read more

So far so good, I know this is the new phase so I'll have to come back after the hype dies down. I had been wanting to come in here since I saw the large tv's from the outside when driving by. The first thing I noticed upon arrival, were the tv screens everywhere when I came inside. I loved the cheerfulness of the staff. Everyone looked happy to be here. Our waitress was very personable and down to earth. She did forget to automatically refill the water glasses, but most waitresses do if it's not soda. My food was pretty good. I ordered guacamole as an app, and my chips were warm and tasted great. The oil had a nice clean taste, no old oil taste which is a bonus. And the guacamole was flavorful and cool with just enough salt. My mango shrimp wrap was tasty as usual, even though the wrap ends were a little hard. Also my boyfriend loved his wings, but said the fries were a bit on the salty side. I ordered the side of macaroni and cheese for my son and he loved it. But That's no surprise because that's his favorite food this month lol. Overall I would come back for Lunch or during a game to watch from all Angles. Also I notice that they stay open until 1am every night except Sunday. Which is great because most things close at 11 around here. read more

Out of most beers. Wings were ordered extra crispy came out twenty minutes later and were soggy. Fried pickle side was greasy and bad. Carrots and celery were actually SLIMY. Did not eat after picking them up. Waiting now on re-make of extra crispy wings. The wings came out better but after another twenty minutes and no discount or friendly beer while I was waiting, won't be back. Several other customers sounded like there wasn't a "good vibe" today. Would probably avoid this location of Taco Mac and choose Zaxbys. Believe me, won't take an hour to get some good wings and will cost a lot less. read more

Totally recommend!!! Absolutely great service. The food tasted really fresh and was served quickly. I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of beers on tap but Kayla was so attentive and patient as we navigated the menu. She helped me with the beer menu. She even helped me setup the rewards app. Can't say enough about the service. Everyone was GREAT. Kornell was so sweet he checked on us made sure our food was good and chatted with us wonderful guy. Glad to have this in Mcdonough. The sports bar setup looks great and the hours are pretty decent. I come here for the fries mozzarella stick and their hottest wings, forgot the name. I love spicy food and that sauce definitely does it for me. Prices are pretty normal for wings and Fries. After an unfortunate waste of time this afternoon I finally remembered why I hadn't visited this location in over 2 years. Shyttiest lack of service thus far. Was told there would be a 15 minute wait for a table outside (smells like 50 senior citizens inside the restaurant...... can't eat in there) which turned into a 40 minute wait. After finally being seated after my husband's inquiry, we stopped a server and asked if she could find our server to take our order after waiting an additional 20 minutes. She said she would and literally came back and took the order of the patrons behind us who came in 15 min after we were already seated. Complete shit-show of no one taking accountability. WE WERE NEVER SERVED! NO ONE GAVE A FUKK TO EVEN CHECK AFTER MULTIPLE REQUESTS. Will never go back...... NOT EVER. Not the most efficient or professional staff. Much better places to eat in Henry County. read more

Busy restaurant on a Friday night. Definitely more of the bar food variety. Enough screens to watch every sport happening. Ordered online for pick-up, got all the way home and missing several items. I understand that right now things are tough, but we've been in this mess for 2 months. They also recently reopened the inside for dine in so in my opinion, no excuse. Ordered tenders tossed in sauce, they were not. Ordered wings extra crispy, they were not. Also missing the celery and carrots that come with the meal. Ordered a side of the Parmesan Zucchini, did not receive this. Did not receive any of the dipping sauces. The wedge salad was missing the most important ingredient...the dressing! Not even on the side. We also arrived at our time, just a tad after and the food wasn't ready. Had to wait an extra 10 minutes yet others were coming in to pick up orders and received right away. This isn't the first time I've been with people who had issues with their orders and that was for dine-in. This is all unfortunate as my husband and I enjoy this franchise. Guess I'll take my takeout cravings elsewhere. Should've just cooked food at home because it would've been 10 times better. read more

This place just missed the mark 100% on my entire UberEats order and I'm kinda mad about it. They forgot to give my driver my drink. I got a refund for that. However the wings were just bland and poorly seasoned. My "Lemon Pepper Dry" barely had any seasoning on it. I could count the pepper flakes in a matter of 2 minutes if I wanted to. No lemon flavor AT ALL. Because they were so greedy with the seasoning it just tastes like I'm eating oil and diet-pepper on chicken. My fries were stiff because they were mostly cold and probably old. My driver only took 7-10 mins to get here, so those fries were put in the bag lukewarm or cold to begin with. The Asian Heat wings are okay I guess but there's really not much flavor in those either. The smallest bit of seasoning salt in the chicken before you fry it makes a world of difference. Season your chicken or your flour. Season SOMETHING though... don't just throw sauce on a bare cooked meat and call it "flavorful" because that's not how it works. I'm annoyed I spent money here. That won't be happening again... read more

Had one of the more disappointing experiences at a bar or eatery that we've had in a long time. The beer of the month at Taco Mac for January (2023) has been Dry County. They have four of the local Georgia (Kennesaw) brewery's beers on tap and I wanted to try them as we've not been able to get up north of the Atlanta to visit the brewery itself. I had their Lachuza Amber at a taco joint on Tybee Island earlier in the year and was quite impressed, so was hopeful the rest of their line up would be good as well. My wife and I always sit at the bar when it is just the two of us whenever we go to a restaurant or brewery that has a bar. Typically the service and the attention is better and the food comes out just as fast. We got to the McDonough Taco Mac a little after 4, and while there were patrons at the bar, it wasn't incredibly busy. The bartender, Kayla, provided food menus promptly but I picked up on a bit of snark when I asked for a beer menu and was informed I could scan the QR code on the sticker on the bar to get their beer menu. Now, there's nothing wrong with this and it has become quite common, but the problem I've found is that often the menu is not accurate and certainly doesn't keep up with beers that they've run out of. My wife ordered a Stella Artois and was promptly told they were out of that, so she just had water. I ordered basically a "flight" of 5 oz pours of the four Dry County beers they had on tap, which were delivered relatively promptly as well. After that our food order was taken, no issues. My wife liked the Dry County Lachuza, and was going to order a pint of that but never got the chance. In fact, once our food arrived, we got absolutely NO attention from Kayla for the next 20 to 30 minutes. My wife ordered their Philly cheese steak, which seemed to have no peppers and onions and very little cheese and wanted a fork to eat it with (she rarely eats the bread, or nibbles at it after consuming the interior). We sat and waited for about five minutes but Kayla was busy with the dishwasher or talking with other employees, but NOT interested in checking on her customers. I peered around and saw a flat ware set up on a table in the area and promptly snagged it so my wife could eat. I worked my way through the four 5 oz pours (with a little help from my wife) after two or three wings and was wanting another beer but Kayla had disappeared out to the patio area. Of course, 4:30 or so she was the only bartender on duty. When she finally came back in she after what seemed like about 10 minutes she pulled a check for one party that had asked for it before she even disappeared, asked a couple of people at the end of the bar that apparently were regulars as she knew their names if they wanted another beer and finally asked me. By that time I wasn't going to give anymore of my time or business to the restaurant and told her I did a while back but she had disappeared and I no longer wanted one, just a to go box and my check. I understand that restaurants are having staffing issues and a live body showing up pretty much trumps everything else, but SOME attention to customers who might not be regulars should be a minimal expectation. My wife and I will never be going back to this Taco Mac location - there are better options for both beer and wings (not to mention Philly cheese steak sandwiches) than here. And if you're not a regular and go to the bar a Kayla is on duty, I'd advise you to leave. read more

Over-priced for the quality!! Have you ever been to a restaurant and realized the food is like every other fast- food joint? YES, that is Taco Mac. Meh.... It's been over a year, and I tried to be.......gracious with my critique of this location. Let's just say that the appeal of having/bringing certain establishments to the South Side is that you'd like to have and enjoy the same experience here as you've had at other locations (Midtown, Buckhead, Vinings) but when the experience that you have ten minutes from the house is lacking....let's just say the one on Roswell Road has figured it out. The one here in McDonough, not so much...and that's disappointing because people love to support local establishments, but there has to be something that makes people want to come back.
