From the door to back out the door was a great experience! We were welcomed in and it felt extremely genuine. Our cashier who took the order was extremely thoughtful and helpful. She explained and asked questions! Let's not talk about the best SWEET TEA! If you don't like it that sweet you can add water or ice! The place was clean clean!!!Everything stocked and the food was as expected! Run and stopped in and dine with the crew! Mostly everyone was engaging and friendly. It felt less like a dine in cookout restaurant and more like a well serviced middle of the road dinning experience!

Stumbled upon this restaurant and glad I did. I walked into the restaurant & met with warm welcomes. I got suggestions on my sides from the cashier, Tee; very friendly. The restaurant is nice & clean and staff is nice. Enjoyed the dining in experience & access to togo containers was very easy. I got the 2 meats/2 sides sampler: Ribs (upcharge): 8/10 good AF, but did get some small ones Texas toast: 8/10 paired good with the sausage, to me Sausage: 10/10 had a slight kick, but definitely good Mac: 8/10 best way to describe was chick fil a, but a bit better Collards: 2/10 lacked flavor & seasoning Tea: 9/10 Lemonade: 6/10 bitter Favorite Sauce: Swine Wine & Sweet City -Outside seating area -Not too big, but not too small -Drive thru available I will definitely be returning.

Nothing to see here folks! Sorry, Team City Barbecue but I wasn't impressed with my experience. The customer service and carry out container were the highlights of my visit. I have to admit that I did go in at about 6 o'clock on Sunday, so maybe because of this they were out of a lot of things. Firstly, they were out of vinegar coleslaw, they were out of smoked turkey, they were out of something else I wasn't going to get it anyway, but I don't recall what it was. I initially went there for the smoked turkey, and ended up getting a combo meal with brisket and smoked sausage. Both were basic, in fact, the smoked sausage was a brand that I bought from Sam's. Nothing special whatsoever about it. The baked beans were blah, and the green beans had some strange seasoning in it that I could not put my finger on, but I ended up not eating either of the sides. My Texas toast was dark and overcooked. So literally I just ended up eating the meat again. The only reason I am giving three stars is because of the customer service, the takeout containers & sweet tea.

I was in the Atlanta-Metro area for Mothers' Day weekend. We were hungry and my niece suggested City BBQ for lunch. I didn't really know what to expect since I'd never been here or heard of it. We placed the Party Pack order that feeds 8-10 people online for pick up and it took about 30 minutes to prepare. It's a 5-7 minute drive so I got there a little early. The interior was high energy to say the least. You can see the staff on the line moving like a well-oiled machine. Every employee was busy doing something. I was asked by 4 different staff members if I had been helped. All of them asked my name, checked on my order and came back to let me know that they were working on it and I should have it shortly. While I waited, I noticed that the dining area was packed along with the patio. A couple people came in with minor complaints and the lady that helped them was very professional and patient. Now it's my turn and the gentleman packing my order gives me a nod to let me know that it's ready. With everything I just witnessed during my wait and the smell inside, I was now excited for this. Upon taking the items out of the bag, I noticed an item was missing. Ok....since it wasn't that far I said to myself that I'll just drive up there with the receipt and let them know. Instead, I called first and a gentleman by the name of Cory (not sure of his spelling) answered the phone. I let him know that I was missing an item from the order. He in a very polite and helpful way let me know that when I have time to come back to the store for that item. He also said that when I arrive, to let whoever I speak to know that I talked to Cory regarding that item. I drove back to the restaurant, got the item, and left. While I was there, the gentleman I spoke with was very apologetic and polite. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I tell you what, it wasn't anything I mentioned above. Coming from Los Angeles, this type of service doesn't exist. Every person I encountered couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. Southern hospitality is a real thing, and you will witness it firsthand at this City BBQ location. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of the food and the restaurant. I'll be back for sure, and I'll do better. Lol. Good Job City Barbeque in McDonough. The food was as good as the service.

Service was from Mimi who was very helpful in recommending the sides for our entree. We ended up ordering the jerk wings (appetizer), turkey wings with collards, dressing and candied yams. I ate the wings as my entree and we shared the sides. The presentation was great. Real plates & flatware. The sides came in their own bowls so the food doesn't touch. The strip mall entrance and parking a bit of a challenge. Full review below: I went in Saturday afternoon. It was lightly busy but fully staffed so help/attention came quick. Dining solo so I opted for a seat at the bar. Bartender was super attentive. Didn't have to wait long for a menu or to place my order. Also, she regularly checked in on how everything was. I ordered the Yellow Diamond Martini ($15) and it was delicious. I got the fried green tomatoes (4 pieces) for $11.95. Complimentary very tall cup of water. The tomatoes were a little small so this is definitely an appetizer/light snack...which is A-OK for me. It came out shortly after my martini was ready. Overall, minus tip, it came to $29. Music was playing through a speaker but not too loud. People could comfortably have a conversation. There are multiple tvs throughout. I appreciated that some of them were showing stuff other than sports. One monitor, near the restroom, is devoted to Culturistic Kitchen content, which is smart. I did use the restroom. It's two stalls and two sinks. The non-handicap/ADA stall is tiny. I'm like a medium-sized woman who is 5'7 and even I was like yikes. When the place is busy/packed I could see a wait or a line for the bathroom. The one major downside...which is not Culturistic Kitchen's fault is that the strip mall is not easy to get out of and onto the main road (Jodeco Rd) especially if you're turning left. The parking lots for all the shops, which are great businesses, should be bigger than it is. Don't be surprised if, during peak times, you may have to park 1-2 doors down from the restaurant. Overall, I would go again. I don't go out to eat that often (there's food at the house ) but if I want a good cocktail and a light snack or try some of their regular food items, I would come again. More than likely, I'd choose an off-peak time because I wouldn't want to experience it at near full capacity but that's just me.

Not my first time here, but it is my first review for them! This is really good pizza! (Is there…read morebad pizza?) very traditional, thin, Neopolitan style crust. Not huge, but two or three people could enjoy. (6 slices cut) I wanted to try something different so we got two and boxed the rest. Shelby greeted and seated us, and although she lacked a little knowledge on the beer menu, she made up for that with a trip to the bar to investigate our questions on sour beer, and came back with two excellent samples! We settled on a Dr. Robot and the Charcut-a-pie. I loved the toppings and balsamic drizzle. Goat cheese and arugula just go together. A little honey and I was in heaven! The crust on this one was a little well done, which disappointed but, the overall flavor was on point. Next, we sampled the Spicy Italian. I'm usually pretty good with spicy things, and while this was no exception, it did have both of us in a small sweat! If you are averse to spicy, stick with something else. This crust was also cooked and not over done. I'm not sure what McDonoughs' obsession is with vaults, but it seems to be a recurring theme around the square. You'll find vaults or at least doors that look like vaults all over. The rest of the decor inside and outside was well done. Exposed brick gives it immediate rustic charm, while black floors, raw wood art, and leather stools wrap the package nicely. I definitely like their lighting! Oversized bulbs hung around the pizza oven bar (which you can sit at if there's space) and giant hoop rings finish the rest of the space. It isn't that glaring light that spotlights your table, it's just a nice warm ambient light that makes you wanna pour a vintage red into a wine glass over and over. Oh! I almost forgot, they do have an outdoor patio up front, so on those less humid days and nights, I'll definitely be hanging out there!
