Their selection of beer is impressive. That I'll admit. A few of my friends and I were here for dinner last night. The service was terrible, and the food was mediocre at best. Items requested to accompany the meal were forgotten, therefore my advice to our waiter would be to write the items down. Memory isn't working out. The worse part of of the trip has turned out to be the case of food poisoning I have the day after. Unsure of the cause, however I can say that I had the fish tacos and onion rings, which came with a ranch dipping sauce; nobody else at the table has gotten sick to my knowledge. Where I waffle on giving this location 5 stars is management. If you get a great server everything is OK but if you get mr. or miss loser who is only there in hopes of making easy money forget about it. We were really pleased to find such a big selection of beers in the US and such knowledgeable bar staff. We were given advice on different beers and some samples and it was great to see and taste so many locally brewed beers. We had a good meal including a vegetarian option and the food was good. The atmosphere was great and much better than we expected from the outside of the building. I would definitely return to Taco Mac and would recommend it to anyone who likes good beer. Went to Taco Mac at Mall of GA with the family. Initially, the server introduced herself as Brooke. Four of us tonight. We ordered two Margaritas, a sample beer and an appetizer - chips and salsa. The beer was sampled and ordered. The appetizer, a coke, and two margaritas came. The server loaded up a tray with several cups of water for another table and left the single beer at the server station. She chatted for a bit and then went over to the bar and picked up more drinks for the same table. Meanwhile, we completed the appetizer and the THREE drinks while the beer continued to sit on the counter. When the beer was finally brought to the table, I asked for the check instead of ordering. I was a bit angry and told her that we wanted to leave instead of ordering because of the poor service. The server went to get the check and told us that she told her manager when she brought the check back. She also said that he would be over to the table. The check included the beer. I waited for a bit expecting the manager and then decided to put my card in the holder because my wife had finished about half the beer and no manager. After the check came back and she said that she asked the manager to come over again. I waited a bit to sign the check, then decided to sign it with a LINE through the tip. Well after I closed the folder, the manager, Paul. came over and asked if there was an issue. I reported what had happened and he said to ask for him the next time we came in. He was so lacksadaisacal and acted like he did not even give a damn if we ever came in at all. He acted surprised that everything including the beer that caused the issue was on the check. What a bunch of crap. This is the first time I have complained about the service there. This was the THIRD and final time. The last time that we went there, a runner brought food to the table and even though we asked for silverware, I ended up going to get it. The time before that I was at the bar and ordered nachos. The nachos showed up, no plate. Again, I asked for it. It was never brought over. I went and got my own plate. WHAT, are you friggin kidding me? I WILL NEVER go back to that place and will NEVER recommend it to my friends or employees. The service is crappy, the management is horrible and an example of the kind of crappy service you can expect over there. Best bet, turn the place into a serve yourself trough. You'll be a lot happier. An even better bet is to forget Taco Mac and go a little further up the street to the Tilted Kilt. They have great service, great food, and a customer focused, service oriented management team. read more

The service: I went in right at 12 pm for lunch, the place was almost empty. There were several men at the bar area but the tables were empty. Th server was excruciatingly slow and seemed to lack basic knowledge of the beers that are offered there, which is odd considering that's their thing, beer. When the two additional people showed she never brought additional menus and never brought additional silverware. I went up front where no one was greeting and grabbed additional menus and asked a random server walking by for additional silverware. When trying to leave, I had to go find her to get our ticket and then go find her to get our change. Needless to say- very poor service. The food: Overpriced and below average bar food food. I ordered the split wings with lemon pepper and hot wings with a side of the mac and cheese. The wings were this side of inedible. The sauce was bitter on the hot wings not savory and the lemon pepper were so coated I had to scrape the excess off in order to eat them. My daughter had the triple appetizer with "cheese sticks" that had no cheese just breading. My mother got the nachos- you rarely can go wrong with nachos- she had no complaints. The price- $67 for three beers, one drink, one app and two entrees. read more

Horrible experience! Our waiter really could not have been worse... No personality and we ordered at least 5 beers and out of them all. Three strikes and I'm out. I have enjoyed roughly 400 hundred beers at Taco Mac. But I was not able to on this trip. I ordered three different beers and waited each time for the server to return to tell me they were out. She said they were having problems lately with the beer list being updated. Her manager came by and apologized for the problem also repeating that the list was not updated recently. I used both the brewnaversity app and the list printed in the store and was unable to find a beer they actually had available. I wish they would have offered to bring me an updated list because I really wanted to enjoy an Ice cold beer today. This location has been slipping lately and I have decided to take my business to another location in the future. read more

I used to come to this place at least once a week. Since December of last year however, a lot has changed. Workers seem to always be drunk or high. Restrooms and the environment is filthy. The food always takes over 30 minutes and comes out cold. The shrimp and guacamole wrap always has about three pieces of shrimp in it. Sometimes I even feel like someone has been eating off of my plate. The managers don't seem to care any more than the servers. I'm not sure what is going on, but I hope it changes. I live 3 minutes down the road and hate to have to drive to Suwanee for better service and a much cleaner environment. read more

The very first time I came to the Taco Mac at the Mall of Ga was about 8 years ago; everything about it was outstanding at that time. Sadly, throughout the years I have seen the changes in the food and service. All of my friends stopped coming to this particular Taco Mac because of many reasons but the most common were the lack of good customer service and the sanitary issues that you can clearly see as soon as you walk in. For example, last night I went to have dinner with my parents and even though I didn't want to go to this restaurant I still ended up going because my parents love their lemon pepper wings. However, as soon as we sat on the table my mom got all her feet wet and that was due to the excessive amount of liquid contents (sodas, beer, etc) under the table. Plus, there were a lot of napkins and food over the floor. Our server at that time was helpful and she said that she would clean it for us but instead of using a mop, she used paper towels. We waited for over 5 minutes; during that time, other people started coming in and hostess instead of giving us a table she decided that we had to wait and she would give a cleaner table to others. The food at this Taco Mac is decent so a take-out will be a good option. But, I would not recommend this place to anybody. It sadness me that this Taco Mac is not the same that used to be a few years ago. read more

I've always enjoyed taco Mac for a quick easy going evening for drinks and wings for the past year and a half, but this one experience was enough to never go back to it. The service was good, my boyfriend and I were seated at the bar area, but it all went downhill when we got our wings. The first wing I had was a bit too soft, and since it was very dark in there, though I think I did see some pink I didn't think it was a big deal... UNTIL I saw my boyfriend reach for his third wing, took a bite, and BLOOD came out of the wing. It was RAW, totally, and completely raw. So the manager came over, took the plate, apologized then said there will be another set coming right out. We then proceeded to wait about half an hour (which was okay since we would rather prefer our food fully cooked), only to be disappointed with another set almost completely raw (on the second wing!). Our food was comped, but we still paid for the drinks and tipped... but to my dismay, I got very bad food poisoning at 3am after leaving at about 9pm from taco mac, which landed me at the ER... the restaurant has yet to contact me in regards to it... so all in all... As much we love taco mac we will not go to this location. We had poor service with our food coming out wrong, drinks not coming out at all and a server not even coming to the table. After different situations happening many times and management not doing anything about the situation (waiting over 1 hour for our meal & waiting for our bill to be corrected) we will be taking our business other places for beer and wings. read more

Visited from DC and I've never experienced such SLOW service. There was a table who had came 30 minutes after us and recieved their food before us. We waited almost an hour for our food. I had complained to the manager, Julie, who had only apologized for the lateness. Soon after our food came out, but surprise surprise my food was cold so I had complained again, but they didn't do anything about it. What. A. Joke. The food isn't that superb either. Save your TIME and go somewhere else. Yelp reviews can be iffy but if you're really on the fence of going or not- don't go. Only gave this place two stars because the hostesses were great. Had the shrimp taco. Delicious! The waiter was also very polite and helpful. He even brought out a free dessert for my son for his birthday. Two negatives: the kids menu comes with a cookie. They didn't bring out cookies for the boys and when we asked, they said they were all out and they had no substitutes. Food quality has not been as good either. I understand for what they offer, they will most likely stay in business for their sports and bar. Went in late Wednesday night. We had 9 in our party and the restaurant was unusually busy for a weekday night. It was graduation night for the schools in the area so that should have been a heads up for the staff. We were seated and our drinks were served quickly. Everything went down hill from there. It took 15 minutes or so for the waitress to come back and take our order. Twice I tried to get another server to come to our table, but she only acknowledged me and never came to the table. Waitress did finally show up and took orders. Waited 15-20 minutes for appetizers. Manager comes by the table and ask how are things and I tell him we have been waiting for a long time. He checks, says food is being plated and we are served 55 minutes after entering. I had lemon pepper wings that were fried wings with several ounces of lemon pepper salt at the bottom of the plate. Fries were at least 10 minutes old and too cold to eat. In short, 5 of the 9 orders were either wrong, cold or of very poor quality. Called the manager back over and explained the issue. The manager "What do you want me to do about it?" Me "Take care of the bill" Manager "I will only take the lemon pepper wings and quesadilla off" No apology. No explanation as to why the food and service were so bad. Just a very big, belligerent, intimidating man not being helpful. I paid our bill, apologized to the server and told her to bring me my change down to the penny. I felt sorry for her and did leave a small tip even though I did not believe she deserved anything. I am trying to track down the managers name and who was working that night. I will never go back unless they are fired. I will do everything I can to let as many people know about this. I will also do everything possible to make sure the manager is fired. read more

Had eaten at this location previously and the food was good. This time however the food was awful. We ordered wings and a salad. The lettuce In the salad was brown. We ordered mild wings and got very spicy. In addition we ordered sweet tea and got unsweetened. We told our waiter, but he acted as it was our fault. Taco Mac, as most are, is good for watching the game, but from time to time there are entirely too many kids and teenagers. Food is on par with most of the smaller chains, not great, not horrible. We have ordered to go from Taco Mac twice now and have received nothing but bad food. The first thing we ordered was a burger which came home almost raw. When we called the store to tell them that it looked like the burger was cooked on the outside but not the inside they said we didn't specify the temperature for it to be cooked and blamed it on us. I told them that the hamburger was so raw it was not fit to be eaten, it wasn't just a little raw, or slightly pink it was completely uncooked and that I would bring it back to them immediately to show it wasn't us ordering it incorrect but a mistake on their part. Tonight we ordered boneless wings to go. We put in for them to be ready at 8:45pm and we were there to get them exactly on time. When we got home (not even 5 minutes later) it looked like our food had been sitting for a long time. My wings were eatable but extremely disgusting. They were dry, had no sauce on them and they were hard/crusty like they had been sitting out for a long time. The fries on the side were wet, limp and freezing cold. The other order of wings we got had visible sauce on them, they still were dry like they had been cooked too long and left out to long but they were better then the other order. The side order was onion rings for those wings and they were okay. The only thing we ordered both times that was good was the queso. Our receipts say they were printed at 8:31pm, 15 minutes before we were even scheduled to pick it up. I'm not sure if they were ready at that time but they tasted like they were. We will never order from Taco Mac again, it is clear they send out the food that in not eatable to the to go orders. read more

We were here recently and had the worst customer service by one of their employee(older white waiter with beard with glasses) we asked him to get us our waiter because we have just been waiting for awhile and we wanted to get our orders in but he rudely told us he was not serving in our area and shook his head like we were suppose to know he didn't serve in our area. The food was ok ( I had a salad ) people that worked there were so so. Was in there after the lunch rush so my food came promptly . The floor was very slippery I fell and hurt my shoulder. Great sports bar...good pub food and wonderful beer. I have been going there for years as I work next door. We enjoy the atmosphere and get good service. I've been a customer for quite awhile but I have to say I was exceptionally happy with the server, Travis White. He went above and beyond the norm as my husband usually gets very frustrated when his glass (especially the beer mug) is empty,. This never happened during this visit!!!
