I just ordered online for my lunch because I'm super busy and I go to pick it up on the little shelf and I race back to work and lo and behold half my order isn't there. I'm not gonna waste my time calling complaining and driving all the way back to pick up the two tacos they owed me. Oh....my.....god..... Ok so I went to the Kyle taco cabana Friday night and ordered a cabana bowl. Shredded chicken, no pico, no lettuce. I get home its covered in pico and there's NO MEAT! I call the manager and shes says to come back and they'll remake it. I tell her it's late and I cant go back. Shes says come in at my convenience and they'll remake it. I go in tonight and reorder it. I waited 20 minutes!!!!!! Then the guy comes out and says "oh were out of refried beans, is boracho ok?" I tell him that's fine, because at this point I'm so done. 5 minutes later my food finally comes out. They gave me the wrong meat. Omfg. They even ran out of forks. Forks!! Thirty minutes and still no food for 4 items!! Is this really a fast food restaurant?? Taking food to our family after we went out to dinner. Our dinner at a sit down restaurant came faster than this!!! And we were told it would be another 25 minutes for the order!! Really.????? Don't go to this Taco Cabana !! Almost an hour for an order!! We got our money back and left!! We were also told 2 to 3 days to get the credit on our card. The manager gave us no eye contact and grunted at us when we expressed our dissatisfaction!! He didn't care and gave no explanation of the problem. He needs a new profession! Terrible service and terrible management. They still have people in the drive thru line and they have yet to tell them there will have at least another 25 minute wait!! I'm a big Taco Cabana fan but this has to be the absolute worst location in the chain. The foods okay but the drive through service takes forever and literally every time (four visits) I've gone through the drive through, at least one item in the order, or the entire order, is missing or wrong. Most recent was yesterday. Order 2 large orders of Guac and Chips and a Diet Coke. Ended up with 2 large orders of Queso and Chips and a Sweet Tea. This has to be the worst taco cabana is Texas. Roll up to the drive through, and they don't even bother to greet you. They just wait for you to get impatient and ask if anyone is there. The reviews and stories of this specific location are ridiculous - from the poor excuse of food they put out in exchange for people's hardworking money, the WAIT, the terrible customer service, the lack of direction and management. Sooooo good! I have never been to a Taco Cabana before. Due to reviews I was expecting something awful and almost didn't go. But I wanted to judge for myself so I risked it. We didn't go through the drive thru so I can't write on that. The food was absolutely amazing! I was only going to eat half my meal, but I ended up eating it all and debated ordering more food. I also was able to taste some of the food others ordered and was still impressed! The customer service was great! They were very nice and attentive. The gentleman who rang us up (Cori) was also busting his butt to clean the lobby and would bring things people would need when he was flagged down. Wow! I am up from Oregon and was so excited to my favorite places! This place was horrific! The middle screen is out, no idea what kind of tacos they had. I asked if they had a printed menu, nope. The dining area is filthy. Food all over the floor. The salsa bar has no cups to put salsa in, employees were told but that didn't seem to matter. I had 4 tacos and some tortillas and they couldn't even bring my food out on a tray? Just wrapped up in tin foil and placed on the table. No lids for the drinks so I hope that you were not planning on taking your drink with you. Food took 25 minutes... there are actual sit down restaurants that consistently deliver food faster than this. Our order wasn't correct when it arrived. The order was somewhat fixed but I asked twice about getting the tortilla on the side that I ordered. The tortilla never came... it would've been nice to maybe cover up the super dry and flavorless chicken. I watched as two different guys in plain clothes walk in the back/kitchen. One of them went back there to say hi, which lets be honest, it's obvious the workers back there already move ridiculously slow. Don't slow them down more by having their friends or acquaintances go back there to see what's good. I think my favorite part was seeing on the front of the door how the owner, Shawn, "proudly owns" this place. Not sure how a person can be proud of terrible work. This location, as of writing this review, had only been open, for about a week. The restaurant is well laid out, to accommodate a smooth flow of traffic, both by patrons inside, and in the way the drive-thru, and parking lot were designed. There is a nice patio, with covered seating, and ceiling fans. Ordering, at the walk up counter was efficient, as they had two cashiers, and a manager overseeing everything. There was an excessive staff on hand, and I attribute that to a normal start-up, of the new location. All of the workers were courteous, and keeping the place spotless. There were no posted hours on the entry doors, so I was quick to ask exactly what their hours were, as I'm use to TB's being opened 24hrs from previous experience. This location is not, :( and I posted the hours, on the main page. Kyle needs this location to be a 24hr location, as to provide another option, to our community. As for the grub, I opted for a basic beef, and a basic chicken fajita taco. I loaded them up with extras from the fresh salsa bar, and enjoyed both. To my surprise, the chicken fajita taco was all white meat chicken, and I consider that a good thing. In the past, I had received some that were all dark meat, and not the best of quality, imo. I find the chosen location for this restaurant to be interesting, as they are in direct competition with similar style places on each side of them. I paid for an online order to be picked up an hour before closing. I show up, and the doors are locked. I went through drive thru and held my phone up to the window showing that I literally paid for my online order to be picked up at 10:00. He finally opened the window after like 5 minutes and told me that they closed an hour early because they didn't "have enough help". Working fast food before, I was respectful to him. He was my age too so I tried to be cool with him, but he just threw the situation out the window. I was in the middle of asking how I would go about a refund or anything I could do and he just slammed the window in my face. We love taco cabana but over the last six months I have had so many problems with this location. I am a nurse and they so graciously offered discounts for first responders during Covid which I know will end some point. . But every time I go the discount either no longer exist or it's only on certain days and so when I return on the day they specify they say they no longer do it. I contacted corporate which said first responders get a 20% discount every day butwhen returning to taco cabana they denied all discounts and specials. So when I return a week later, they offer the 50% discount only on Tuesdays. I will continue to go to taco cabana but they really need to get their shit together. I used to be a manager when I was 18 years old at a Taco Cabana, so I know how horribly frustrating this job can be. With that being said you have certain responsibilities that really aren't that hard, that if you do ahead of time, It will prevent you from having hiccups. With that being said if you plan on opening your doors for the morning rush of hungry customers you should atleast have the one thing done that is literally the simplest task besides pressing fresh tortillas or cutting limes. THE SALSA BAR! The main visual feature that is completely utilized in a taco restaurant. The pico de Gallo was mainly tomatoes, so if you like bruschetta you'll love it! **Update*** DOOR DASH FAILED! No service satisfaction from door dash. THey sent emails, got info and then never said anything. Next step is my credit card dispute. I know they will make things right. We really enjoy this place! This morning was our first time back to eat inside the restaurant after being away for over a year due to COVID. (Occasionally we utilized the drive-thru this past year.) The employees are friendly, and we received our breakfast quickly. The bacon in our breakfast tacos was cooked well, and not on the raw side like some places do. Portions were just right! One of the workers, Bernice, remembered not only us, but remembered our usual order from pre-COVID breakfasts. She always has a smile, and is so friendly to people as she makes time to briefly talk with them. This still remains our favorite dine-in breakfast location! read more

Why not keep it contactless??? they have a person out there with a really tiny menu attached to their ordering device so that they have to get really close to your window to be able see it. This is the most poorly managed taco cabana. It takes 20-30 minutes to get through the drive-through and even when I try to order on the app, it takes an additional 10-15 minutes after the pick up time. Some of the workers are friendly. The manager did not give anyone eye contact or speak with them. I have tried numerous times to go here, because I live in Kyle. Taco cabana's food is usually really good, but this location is not managed well at all and takes forever. It is absolutely ridiculous.
