This place is over priced and you call ahead your order isn't even ready. It's happened several times me thinking it was a one time occurrence but no they are good at it and don't offer any apologies or anything read more

The food is always amazing, friendly service. I have been coming here is day one . I love Al pastor tacos the meat is well seasoned and juicy. The restaurant is always clean. read more

It's a hard pass for me. Ordered jr. steak burrito. Meat tastes weird. Quality and flavorings off. More on chipotle side which I don't like. Took a few bites because I was hungry and tossed the rest. Also, paid $1.50 for carrot/pepper mix since they don't have smaller packet. No bueno. Threw that out too!! read more

Went yesterday, food was disgusting. We couldn't even eat it. The quality went down hill. We got chicken quesadilla the chicken tasted frozen. The beans tasted canned and burned. The rice was stale. My torta de asada the meat was burnt and the bread was chewy ? I asked for sprite I got ginger ale was coming here for years never again. read more

Limp ass burrito! Got the big one and it was almost flat. Not worth the money for sure!

Food was disgustingly dry and over priced ! and when I asked for chips and salsa for dining in they rudely told me it was extra and I shouldnt assume it's free ... I'm sorry but when do you ever go to a Mexican restaurant and chips and salsa aren't included with dining in ? Rude staff terrible food and terrible ownership stay away from this restaurant it's terrible !!! read more

have eaten a dozen times at old location and always felt it overpriced and burritos were sloppy 90% of the time fast forward to the new location and its even worse , been there 3 times and always longer wait times plus the food went from sloppy to actually making me and my daughter sick .. I've eaten metric tons of food from questionable looking places and seriously this is the ONLY place that makes my queasy to the point of not finishing food - never again - distance is the only reason I tried to give them chances - last time I ordered steak nachos to scratch that itch and it was hot trash few chips or quality toppings , covered in loads of cheap nacho cheese like it came from a carnival - sad such a nice needed architectural enhancement to Alsip has a nightmare kitchen read more

Taco Burrito King - Steak Taco (Corn Tortilla) - Mexican Near Me - Alsip, Illinois

Well I decided to give the new location a shot. Can't believe I am saying this but I think It actually got worse. Order a buritto. It was a good size but it completely fell apart. There was also a big hole in the tortilla. The worst part is that after I tried a few bits I actually vomited into a garbage can. This has never happened before. Not sure what caused it but I will not try this place again. read more

Not bad at all. New building very nice and pretty big! Will definitely be back soon.

I ordered shrimp tacos and the shrimps were over cooked rubbery French fries were cold as ice and I didn't get any salsa or napkins and utensils. read more

Excellent quality food. I wasn't sure whether they would bring it to my table or if I had to stand near the counter and wait for my number to be called. The sound level was quite high which made it difficult to hear when placing my order. I was able to find a more quiet place to enjoy my meal. read more

Well yesterday was National Guacamole Day, so I took a chance and ordered some Nachos from the Taco Burrito King. That was a big mistake! The entire container consisted of Beef, toppings, and a few chip crumbs. I didn't get enough chips to even enjoy the toppings! How can I dip into the guacamole with no chips? Celebration was ruined to say the least! In addition, 2 customers in the establishment were not wearing masks. The cashier ignored the risky behavior! She should have asked them to leave until they put a mask on. This experience is worth 1 star! read more

Came here from just being hungry. The tacos were not that appetizing and didn't look appetizing either my stomach was rumbling after. I feel they were also overpriced. Not coming here again. Service was okay and the place was overwhelming with how little space they had. read more

I finally got around to trying this local chain. I've driven past several of their locations throughout IL and have said one of these days I'll go, well today is the day. I placed a pickup order on Toast, and by the time I arrived, there was a short wait for my food. They were starting to get busy around 11:30am as lunch is starting, and I love that this location also has a drive through option, dining in and carrying out. Knowing now, I wish I ordered more tilapia tacos because they're so delicious, it's grilled to perfection, and one of the fish tacos I had had a small bone in it -- that's how you know it's real fish but also be careful. The steak wasn't what I expected -- not sure if it even is, since I saw a bit of chorizo juice / sauce in it. The chips were crispy, but can be a bit more chips to sauce ratio. I ended up with way more sauce than I needed. Other than that, it was a great experience and I can see myself coming back. There's limited free parking on premise as they do share a lot with other businesses in the strip mall. I didn't have any issues today. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for Mexican cuisine. They have something for everyone. read more

We stopped here last night after work just to grab a bite to eat. My fiancé order the chicken taco salad, and he really liked his. He says the flavor was good and the portion size was definitely worth it. I ordered the Al Pastor burrito bowl. I definitely don't think their meat was very good at all. It just didn't taste like the Al Pastor I've gotten from actual Mexican grocery stores. Also my bowl barely had rice at all. There was probably more guacamole and sour cream than anything. The cashier working was friendly and they do have a parking lot that they share with other store fronts. read more

Kinda far from where I reside but well worth it, haven't had an issue with anything, taco salad is my favorite

I just had the worst experience at this place, and I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years. I live down the street and even went to high school with one of the Ortega family members, who own the restaurant. That connection is why I've always supported them. Today, I went in at 4 PM, and initially, they mistakenly packaged my food to go instead of for dine-in, which I understood as an honest mistake. However, when they replated my food, it was clear that something was off. The meat was visibly old, the portions were small, and there was no heat coming from the food--it was lukewarm at best. When I tried a piece of steak, it wasn't even warm, which is unacceptable for a dine-in meal. I approached the front desk to ask for a refund, but instead of receiving an apology, I was met with hostility and an argument. When I asked when the meat had been prepared, they admitted it was made in the morning. It's 4 PM. In this economy, where the cost of food is higher than ever, no customer should have to pay for food that was made hours earlier and served cold. I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of quality and the poor customer service I experienced today. read more

Food is pretty good. It's also expensive. They have a drive thru which is nice. Sometimes the sour cream is watered down.

It's always a pleasure to come back to this place again because of their tacos. That's the main reason why I come back here over and over again. Last time I visited I ordered 2 tacos for myself and was totally satisfied with that. They were really delicious. I would even say finger-licking. They were thoroughly cooked and served so its flavor was excellent. Customer service was great let alone their food. I was greeted and treated well and they didn't make me waiting too long since it's very important for me as I am kind of busy guy. Hopefully COVID-2019 will be defeated soon and we will be able to catch up more often with our close friends in our favorite spots like it was a not while ago. This spot is one in my list to hit after our life turns to its usual way. And I'm pretty sure this time is much closer than we might expect. read more

I call back in to ask about coming back up there because my order is wrong and then I'm out on hold for 20 minutes after confirming the order may have been wrong. Giving 3 stars because I personally am not a fan of this type of Mexican food but the business itself has no issues. Business review: quick, friendly. I've never had an issue placing or picking up an order. I love that they have a drive thru window and they stay open pretty late. Food review: this isn't the full on authentic Mexican food experience that I personally like. I would consider the food to be what you'd eat if you're on a budget and want something a step up from Americanized Mexican food (like Taco Bell) but not exactly full on authentic Mexican. Example: I ordered chicken nachos expecting to have chips, beans, meat, shredded cheese, lettuce, guacamole, tomato, sour cream. I received chips topped with shredded chicken, guacamole, nacho cheese sauce, jalapeños and sour cream. It made my stomach hurt so bad but I also didn't ask what the nachos were topped with so that's on me not them. Again, nothing wrong and this isn't a bad review. It's just not my preference. read more

If you're used to eating quality Mexican food, stay away from this place. Almost $70 for 2 burritos, 1 torta, 2 tacos, a taco salad, and a couple drinks just for the food to be absolutely GARBAGE. Crazy times we live in where food prices continue to rise while the quality just plummets. Avoid this dump of a restaurant like the plague read more

I can't comment on there food but I can comment on there "service". My family and I were heading home and wanted to try a new place. It was 4:25am And The burrito King was 3 minutes away. We pulled up at 4:28 am. There was a group of 6 Caucasian customers leaving the establishment as I pulled up they were walking out. I get out the car to walk in and the waiter comes and locks the door as he sees me walking to the door. It is 4:30 am and it is posted online that your restaurant doesn't close until 5:00. I am so glad I never spent any of my hard earned dollars in this establishment. read more

Omg! I've been coming here for the last 4 years. Pick up dinner and go home to Midway. I order ahead because I have NO spare time. Today I was told my food would be ready in 5 minutes. Great Somebody was at the drivethru so I waited at 10 minutes I called and asked if I needed to come in and get my food hoping they'd tell people to park while their food was made. Nope So I went in my food of course was waiting as I'd already seen. Had my cc out fully expecting to pay and go but no the young girl st the register started taking another order . I was like seriously? Why wait in line twice for cold food? Do I told her to cancel my order. I will not be going back. Bad customer service is simply bad customer service. I'll spend my hard earned $ elsewhere read more
