This is my regular Zacatacos I go to. There are several ones but this one has been the closest to me. 95% of the time the food has been on point. The tacos are a good size and very good. My go to is Pastor for tacos. The service is usually pretty good. They're friendly and willing to help. Only thing is this place gets really busy, specially around the weekend, so staff is running around trying to get to everyone. The ambiance is ok as well. I might eat in if it's during the week. If it's during the weekend, you might be waiting for a table as there aren't enough to serve most of the patrons that visit during that time. I have it 5 stars because the food is very good and staff are friendly. I will keep going there when I'm the mood for tacos or fajitas. read more

Horrible service, but I honestly don't blame the employees. It's very obvious they're short-staffed and trying to handle customers walking in while also answering the phones. Management/ownership needs to do better and hire enough people to properly run the business. This is now the third time within the last month that I've tried placing an order over the phone. I'm ready and willing to pay, but they answer the phone and then hang up because they're clearly too busy to take the order. Again, I don't blame the employees -- they can only do so much when they aren't given enough help. Unfortunately, if you want tacos from here, it seems like you have no choice but to physically go in and order. Very disappointing experience, especially when this keeps happening. read more

Got our order wrong and only gave us chips instead of providing the correct food, completely refused to remake it or provide a refund.

Talk about a change! I returned to this location after a year, the service has severely declined. Placed my order over the phone, I was told 15 minutes, I waited 25. Arrived and my order still wasn't started, I waited an additional 10 minutes. Got home and opened my food to find out it was small... this does not come from china, there are no tariffs involved, how much was this?! The flavor was okay, the food was not worth what I paid. And the service was horrible. I will not return. read more

I use to love Zacatacos, but lately they've been falling off. Mostly for their portion sizes. I understand that all restaurants have raised their prices on food, but you can't raise prices and shrink your portions. This was the flattest burrito I've bought with a sprinkle of some asada. Wish this was an isolated incident, but it isn't. read more

Family members got violently ill from their sour cream. Probably left it out & decided to use it anyway.

I wanted their steak nachos 2day so here I come. Same decor, clean spot. The order taker Juan seemed like he had a hard time with English but he seemed like he understood me. Well that was until I got my order and saw that he forgot 2 add sour cream, guac & jalapeños. I could have checked the receipt but I didn't. The lady who called out the order #'s said my order in Spanish which I do not know. A few words here and there but not a conversation. There were 2 other guys waiting, assumed they were Latino, I'm not. Most Latin based restaurants will call out orders in Spanish then in English. Not her!! She stayed in Spanish mode. When I saw the 2 other guys looking at me I asked her if she was saying 117, my order # which she was. I informed her I am not Latino and don't speak Spanish. Also that she may want to learn order #'s in both languages since their spot is racially mixed. However there was a Black lady there, not sure how she was going to call her # out since she ordered in English. I think it's time I let them go since I had this same issue before. I rather patronize Chipotle where I know they understand me. Food was greasy - how when they chargrill their food?? Lucky I had sour cream and guacamole at home. Just missed those jalapeños. read more

Ordered tacos from Zacatacos tonight. My cousin insisted they were good, so I ignored the 3 star rating against my better judgement and here's how it went. We ordered 3 steak tacos with everything. One of the tacos were fully dressed and the other two only had onion and cilantro. We ordered chips and queso. The chips were good, fresh and crisp. The queso tasted like Walmart cheese from a can. The rice was decent but nothing special. Would I go there again, no probably not. read more

This place used to be my go-to spot for great tacos. Lately, it's been changing, and today I went to order 16 tacos to go. When placing the order, I asked if they could put extra limes in there, and she said, okay. When I received my order, I went to the car and out of curiosity. I decided to check the bag. When I opened it up there were only four wedges of limes and 2 medium-sized salsas, all for sixteen tacos. I went back inside, asked for the manager, and explained to her that I did not receive enough salsas or limes for the amount of tacos I ordered. She had a different opinion, She stated that's the normal amount they put in the order. Well that's not enough I said and her response was if you want more you're going to pay extra. I was very disappointed in her response and asked for her name and she refused to give it. My recommendation. Go down the street to Raymond's Tacos better food and better service. To the owner, I would recommend teaching that manager a thing or two about customer service. read more

I've been in this area for over 30 years. I used to live on 59th St. off of Pulaski. I went to the original one when it was just a little hole in the wall now I live more south in the Scottsdale area and I go to the one on I think it's 71st and Pulaski, really disappointed. This is my favorite burrito place. The burritos have downsize super small. The tacos are bigger than the burritos. They make a great steak burrito but when you have a burrito and it looks like it's on a diet and the price you pay for it. You need to get your money work everybody still codvic prices just give me my money's worth read more

¡Zacatacos es una porquería! Son los peores tacos en la Pulaski. Podría nombrar diez taquerías mejores a menos de una milla de aquí. No vengan aquí si valoran su paladar y su billetera. ¿$4.25+ por un taco frío? These are THE WORST tacos along Pulaski Avenue. I could name ten better taquerias within a one mile radius. Seriously avoid this sh*t hole if you value your tastebuds and your wallet. $4.25 for a cold AF taco? To top it off you're inhaling all the toxic fumes from the chemical plant across the street. read more

I understand that cost has gone up but when I pay nearly $5 for a taco and I get an alpastor taco and get nothing but grilled onions and couple pieces of meat. If I could give this location zero stars I would. I have been a faithful customer for years driving 35 mins to get tacos, but the customer service/Staff are extremely rude and bias towards non-speaking Spanish customers. I literally had a staff hang up on me today when trying to place an order after being told I needed to pay before ordering over the phone, without explaining why instead she hung up on me and that was the last straw. Avoid this place! read more

Today my godmother went to Zacatacos and bought a carne asada taco dinner. As she was eating she felt herself chewing on a hair and sure enough there was one. She called the location to let someone know about the situation and they kept giving her the run around telling her to call different numbers because she wanted to speak to a manager. When I was finally able to take her to the restaurant to discuss the situation, they said they would only refund the money for the taco dinner which is where the hair was found, instead of having the decency to refund the whole thing which in my opinion would have been the right thing to do. She also never even got an apology. read more

TRY THE AL PASTOR!! Went in for lunch on a weekday and the place had only a couple open tables. The restaurant is pretty small so I expect during rush hours you'll need to wait or take it to go. We ordered carne asada, pollo and al pastor tacos, a carne asada plate and guacamole. Our food came out within a few minutes. The tomatillo salsa was tasty and went great on the carne and pollo taco. The guacamole has filler in it such as tomato and lettuce. I am not a fan when places do this. Places should try to be different than Taco Bell. The tacos were all filled with plenty of meat- worth the price. I am always looking for a great Al Pastor taco and this place has a really flavorful one. All the meats were not dry and seemed to be left in a marinade/drippings which made the meats so enjoyable. The plate was larger than expected. Overall, the Al Pastor is a must try and I will be coming back. read more

Ordered here on 8/29. 2 Stars because my tacos were delicious. I took away 3 stars because I lost my appetite after I found HAIR IN MY RICE! Half way through my rice I found a clump of hair. I used to love this restaurant. Last night I went with my husband, I ordered 2 chicken tacos and a steak burrito my husband got nachos and a chicken taco.To say this was a horrible experience is putting it mild. The rice was hard the steak was all fat and chewy,I had more sour cream than anything and they are now to lazy to even chop the tomatoes just give you a hunk. And the chicken is not fresh cooked its like a generic version of Tyson strips. I am so sick of all these restaurants raising the prices but the quality sucks. I will not be returning. read more

Management needs to reevaluate this whole. I only speak Spanish type of attitude The staff at this location don't speak English mess up order and don't want to admit the mistakes . Dey's i cashier seems to be a dishonest cashier and can't admitted her wrong doing . It's very important to understand English is the fundamental language that needs to be learned. As long as this place has been in business, you would think that they will start hiring people that do speak fluent English so that orders don't get messed up. read more

Best tacos in the city! Flame broiled, flavorful and affordable. Always consistent.

I usually frequent this location. I stopped years ago and started up again. This day I ordered a chimichanga as usual. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a fried burrito. As I'm eating it I felt a bone. Which was okay. It was chicken. Then as I continued eating I felt a bone on the other half. I actually looked and discovered they were not bones but toothpicks. How did toothpicks get inside my food? The bigger question is did it come from someone's mouth. The thought makes me want to puke. Called the restaurant and sent a picture as requested. The lady said the manager would contact us but never did. Don't trust the food here. I'll never eat here again. read more
