This is my regular Zacatacos I go to. There are several ones but this one has been the closest to me. 95% of the time the food has been on point. The tacos are a good size and very good. My go to is Pastor for tacos. The service is usually pretty good. They're friendly and willing to help. Only thing is this place gets really busy, specially around the weekend, so staff is running around trying to get to everyone. The ambiance is ok as well. I might eat in if it's during the week. If it's during the weekend, you might be waiting for a table as there aren't enough to serve most of the patrons that visit during that time. I have it 5 stars because the food is very good and staff are friendly. I will keep going there when I'm the mood for tacos or fajitas. read more

Talk about a change! I returned to this location after a year, the service has severely declined. Placed my order over the phone, I was told 15 minutes, I waited 25. Arrived and my order still wasn't started, I waited an additional 10 minutes. Got home and opened my food to find out it was small... this does not come from china, there are no tariffs involved, how much was this?! The flavor was okay, the food was not worth what I paid. This place used to be my go-to spot for great tacos. Lately, it's been changing, and today I went to order 16 tacos to go. When placing the order, I asked if they could put extra limes in there, and she said, okay. When I received my order, I went to the car and out of curiosity. I decided to check the bag. When I opened it up there were only four wedges of limes and 2 medium-sized salsas, all for sixteen tacos. I went back inside, asked for the manager, and explained to her that I did not receive enough salsas or limes for the amount of tacos I ordered. She had a different opinion, She stated that's the normal amount they put in the order. Well that's not enough I said and her response was if you want more you're going to pay extra. I was very disappointed in her response and asked for her name and she refused to give it. My recommendation. Go down the street to Raymond's Tacos better food and better service. To the owner, I would recommend teaching that manager a thing or two about customer service. read more

I wanted their steak nachos 2day so here I come. Same decor, clean spot. The order taker Juan seemed like he had a hard time with English but he seemed like he understood me. Well that was until I got my order and saw that he forgot 2 add sour cream, guac & jalapeños. I could have checked the receipt but I didn't. The lady who called out the order #'s said my order in Spanish which I do not know. A few words here and there but not a conversation. There were 2 other guys waiting, assumed they were Latino, I'm not. Most Latin based restaurants will call out orders in Spanish then in English. Not her!! She stayed in Spanish mode. When I saw the 2 other guys looking at me I asked her if she was saying 117, my order # which she was. I informed her I am not Latino and don't speak Spanish. Also that she may want to learn order #'s in both languages since their spot is racially mixed. However there was a Black lady there, not sure how she was going to call her # out since she ordered in English. I think it's time I let them go since I had this same issue before. I rather patronize Chipotle where I know they understand me. Food was greasy - how when they chargrill their food?? Lucky I had sour cream and guacamole at home. One of the tacos were fully dressed and the other two only had onion and cilantro. We ordered chips and queso. The chips were good, fresh and crisp. The queso tasted like Walmart cheese from a can. I've been in this area for over 30 years. I used to live on 59th St. off of Pulaski. I went to the original one when it was just a little hole in the wall now I live more south in the Scottsdale area and I go to the one on I think it's 71st and Pulaski, really disappointed. This is my favorite burrito place. The burritos have downsize super small. The tacos are bigger than the burritos. They make a great steak burrito but when you have a burrito and it looks like it's on a diet and the price you pay for it. Today my godmother went to Zacatacos and bought a carne asada taco dinner. As she was eating she felt herself chewing on a hair and sure enough there was one. She called the location to let someone know about the situation and they kept giving her the run around telling her to call different numbers because she wanted to speak to a manager. When I was finally able to take her to the restaurant to discuss the situation, they said they would only refund the money for the taco dinner which is where the hair was found, instead of having the decency to refund the whole thing which in my opinion would have been the right thing to do. TRY THE AL PASTOR!! Went in for lunch on a weekday and the place had only a couple open tables. The restaurant is pretty small so I expect during rush hours you'll need to wait or take it to go. We ordered carne asada, pollo and al pastor tacos, a carne asada plate and guacamole. Our food came out within a few minutes. The tomatillo salsa was tasty and went great on the carne and pollo taco. The guacamole has filler in it such as tomato and lettuce. I am not a fan when places do this. Places should try to be different than Taco Bell. The tacos were all filled with plenty of meat- worth the price. I am always looking for a great Al Pastor taco and this place has a really flavorful one. All the meats were not dry and seemed to be left in a marinade/drippings which made the meats so enjoyable. The plate was larger than expected. Overall, the Al Pastor is a must try and I will be coming back. read more

Last night I went with my husband, I ordered 2 chicken tacos and a steak burrito my husband got nachos and a chicken taco.To say this was a horrible experience is putting it mild. I usually frequent this location. I stopped years ago and started up again. This day I ordered a chimichanga as usual. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a fried burrito. As I'm eating it I felt a bone. Which was okay. It was chicken. Then as I continued eating I felt a bone on the other half. I actually looked and discovered they were not bones but toothpicks. How did toothpicks get inside my food? The bigger question is did it come from someone's mouth. The thought makes me want to puke. Called the restaurant and sent a picture as requested. Tacos are served traditional on double corn with onions & cilantro and piping hot. While the steak may be very good, The Al Pastor is outstanding with a great char on the pork with bits of onion and pineapple this taco is one of the best I've had!
