Terrible family dinner. My family and I dined in. Everyone had their food but one person. The waitress "Jennifer" took the order wrong. I understand mistakes happen till you're waiting more that 20 minutes for a Chimichanga. When we asked for the food since we have been waiting for so long.. JENNIFER mentioned that the reason why the food was talking long was because "the Kitchen staff" prioritize orders that are to go. It's not fair if everyone else is eating but ONE PERSON!! I order for a substantial amount of food at Zacatacos. They threw my food together in the bag and upon opening it my steak dinner had a little rice and beans. I looked at my receipt and they charged me $9 for Guacamole and chips in which I had only asked to be charged for guacamol. of course she told me that that the price cannot be separated. You have to get the chips with the guacamole not just a guacamole in which it was priced for an additional 25% not $4.50. And when I did get home to try and enjoy my meal, I was missing a guacamole and no chips. which I told the young lady if I pay for guacamole and chips, even if I said, I didn't want the chips if I them, I would expect for them to be in the bag. I called them back and they told me without proof I would have to bring the food 6 miles back to them in order to be compensated for any missing items. This will be the last time they get my service as a because their service is terrible. The food is skimpy for the price and they don't respect what the customer say. Today is the first time that I am disappointed with the tacos. I ordered at 8:35pm and when I got there I noticed that they were no longer cooking any more meat because it was almost closing time which is at 10:00pm. When I unwrapped my tacos I couldn't believe the amount of meat that was missing from them. In usually get full with 2 tacos. The phone kept ringing and people were still walking in to eat. They wanted to stretch the meat as much as possible until closing time. I would've prefer for them to tell me they were sold out instead of wasting my money for nothing. I drove over to Zacatacos on my drive south with a friend. I had anticipated this visit for a very long time. Years ago when I had dated my ex, he would take me to Zacatacos for Mexican and at the time, it was delicious. They were the best tacos in my book. I was hoping my return visit (nearly 8 years later) would warrant this claim. Sadly, I feel like this chain's food quality went south over the years. I ordered my usual (Carne Asada tacos with rice and beans) and it just didn't taste as good as I remembered it. The flavors were lacking. My Carne Asada meat was dry and the supposedly soft corn tortilla shells they came in tasted like they had sat out for hours. The shell was hard when I bit into it. I was expecting a softer, chewier texture. I also ordered a side of guacamole and chips and the guacamole to onion ratio was practically all onion with a sad smattering of guac. As a whole, I was saddened by my mediocre meal however the service was excellent. Our server was friendly. She seated us promptly and our food came out in a timely fashion. The interior was also very well kept and clean. If they can work on improving the taste and quality of their meals, I would give them a second chance but due to this most recent unmemorable meal, I don't plan on returning. read more

We have placed multiple large orders and they always get the orders wrong, something is always missing....we called today and spoke to a female who didn't want to disclose her name and then she lied and said her name was Sandy. Emily, the female's actual name very rude and unprofessional, it's a very poor image for such a famous Taco chain, you NEED good customer service answering your phone calls and providing good friendly service to your customers. You are a Mexican Taco Chain and your front people answering phone calls to place orders for YOUR BUSINESS are treating YOUR CUSTOMERS like shit. We called back and asked to speak to Sandy and Emily refused to transfer the call ...she continued to ignore recurring phone calls and placing calls on long holds, at the end Emily said the order that had just been placed, was lost. This is a disgrace! You NEED BETTER STAFF!!!
