The meat is tough--it tastes like donkey--and it takes an hour to get three tacos. I don't recommend it.

Terrible family dinner. My family and I dined in. Everyone had their food but one person. The waitress "Jennifer" took the order wrong. I understand mistakes happen till you're waiting more that 20 minutes for a Chimichanga. When we asked for the food since we have been waiting for so long.. JENNIFER mentioned that the reason why the food was talking long was because "the Kitchen staff" prioritize orders that are to go. It's not fair if everyone else is eating but ONE PERSON!! They finally apologized and said they would remove the dinner from our check. Another employee comes and offers us a shrimp plate. Since it was offered to us we accepted! Later when we asked for the check they CHARGED US FOR THE SHRIMP PLATE also charging us for a side of rice and beans... which was weird since we ordered the dinner and it should automatically come with it. The second waitress never mentioned that we would have to pay for the shrimp plate. She clearly said that she was offering the plate since it was extra. The staff need to be trained AGAIN. Horrible customer service. Lack of communication!!!! DO BETTER!!! read more

I really enjoy the tacos here! Food always fresh and on point! I enjoy steak tacos and I LOVE the rice! I always get a large rice to go. Service-quick Ambiance-smalm Resturant with limited seating order to go. My go to spot when I'm on this side of town. read more

Zacatacos was my last stop during my taco hooping. It also happened to be the best one of the three places I tried. Which is unfortunate because I was already getting full. I've had Zacatacos before but, I don't remember them tasting as good as they did here. The dining area is long and narrow, and their customer service can use some minor adjustments. They weren't as welcoming and seemed rushed, which I would understand if the place was busy, but there was only just a few of us dining in. Now on to the tacos. I ordered one al pastor taco and one carne Asada. Their al pastor was very weird in texture and in taste. I'm not really quit sure what kind of meat they used; but if it taste weird like that again when I return, I'll stop ordering them. Their carne Asada was phenomenal. They use arrachera for theirr carne asada, which gives it a very fatty flavorful taste with every bite. The tacos here are huge and full of meat, and definitely worth the price. Should be returning very soon. read more

I've been coming to ZacTacos for over 10 years, and I've never been this disappointed. On February 21 at 9:48 PM, the cook on shift was absolutely terrible. The meat was RAW, which is completely unacceptable. My nachos had barely any chips, were missing ingredients, and there was hardly any salsa. This is not the quality I've come to expect from this place. If this is the direction things are heading, I might have to take my business elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.. read more

Today is the first time that I am disappointed with the tacos. I ordered at 8:35pm and when I got there I noticed that they were no longer cooking any more meat because it was almost closing time which is at 10:00pm. When I unwrapped my tacos I couldn't believe the amount of meat that was missing from them. In usually get full with 2 tacos. The phone kept ringing and people were still walking in to eat. They wanted to stretch the meat as much as possible until closing time. I would've prefer for them to tell me they were sold out instead of wasting my money for nothing. I called and spoke to the manger by the name of Amador and he said he would credit me an agua de horchata!! WTF that's not what my complaint is about. I would rather get a credit for at least 2 tacos and not my whole order. read more

I order for a substantial amount of food at Zacatacos. They threw my food together in the bag and upon opening it my steak dinner had a little rice and beans. I looked at my receipt and they charged me $9 for Guacamole and chips in which I had only asked to be charged for guacamol. of course she told me that that the price cannot be separated. You have to get the chips with the guacamole not just a guacamole in which it was priced for an additional 25% not $4.50. And when I did get home to try and enjoy my meal, I was missing a guacamole and no chips. which I told the young lady if I pay for guacamole and chips, even if I said, I didn't want the chips if I them, I would expect for them to be in the bag. I called them back and they told me without proof I would have to bring the food 6 miles back to them in order to be compensated for any missing items. This will be the last time they get my service as a because their service is terrible. The food is skimpy for the price and they don't respect what the customer say. If they miss something you have to come back and bring it to them and I as a 6 mile patriot away from them will not be traveling back to them for chips and guacamole. Bad service. read more

Totally screwed up our order, which was relatively simple. Asked for NO cilantro - cilantro galore. Asked for extra sour cream/lettuce/tomatoes - not a single piece in sight. Now, whether it's a language barrier, I don't know, but I'm not prone to ordering from them again. The orders just cannot be trusted. I think they also messed up the last TWO orders from us. I guess we keep giving them another chance. Too expensive to have a less enjoyable meal. BUT the workers need to definitely be a little bit more on their game. Don't think we'll be back. read more

I opened the order my husband picked up and asked him why did he get burgers instead of tacos. He said they were tacos. Now, I understand that some places have to cut some thing's out to save but damn now you wrapping food in paper? Needless to say the food was cold and the new covering sucks. I drove over to Zacatacos on my drive south with a friend. I had anticipated this visit for a very long time. Years ago when I had dated my ex, he would take me to Zacatacos for Mexican and at the time, it was delicious. They were the best tacos in my book. I was hoping my return visit (nearly 8 years later) would warrant this claim. Sadly, I feel like this chain's food quality went south over the years. I ordered my usual (Carne Asada tacos with rice and beans) and it just didn't taste as good as I remembered it. The flavors were lacking. My Carne Asada meat was dry and the supposedly soft corn tortilla shells they came in tasted like they had sat out for hours. The shell was hard when I bit into it. I was expecting a softer, chewier texture. I also ordered a side of guacamole and chips and the guacamole to onion ratio was practically all onion with a sad smattering of guac. As a whole, I was saddened by my mediocre meal however the service was excellent. Our server was friendly. She seated us promptly and our food came out in a timely fashion. The interior was also very well kept and clean. If they can work on improving the taste and quality of their meals, I would give them a second chance but due to this most recent unmemorable meal, I don't plan on returning. read more

Slight above average.... The parking is fairly inconvenient but you should be able to find street parking in most cases. Service, food, other is slight above average. Food is good but not my favorite al pastor tacos. Tacos are wrapped and in double tortilla. They aren't skimpy on the taco meat so that is a Plus. The asada tacos were pretty good I would say 7-8 on a scale of 10. Prices are average. I don't recall anyone checking on us after we received our food. read more
