I gave then 4 star for it being a cash only place . That means going to the bank to get the cash since I don't carry cash with me. They have an ATM here with a charge. So it's up to you to Use their ATM with a charge and hope the machine works when you get there or just go to your bank to get your cash. Mmmm! Very fresh & definitely tasted homemade. My brother, my boyfriend & I came here the day King Taco was selling their tacos for 50cents. Honestly, the line was way too long and not worth the time. -- So, I Yelped this place and saw good reviews. Delicious! No regrets at all! My brother said their burrito is one of the best (top 3) he's had! Their tacos are only $1 w/ great amount of meat. (4 tacos + drink = $4.65-4.95!!!) The best part was the tortilla. It really tasted homemade. The only complaint I would have would be the wait time. It took awhile to get our food, but that didn't really bother me that much. This spot is horrible came to eat during lunch break at work. We ordered 3 plates and instead of tortillas we asked if we could have chips and they said they have to charge us the chips. Just so you know, it's definitely cash only. They do have an ATM in the restaurant, but it's a $2.25 fee + whatever your bank charges you. Oh well. The food definitely made up for it. When you walk in, you approach a counter with a line. There was only one cashier working, filling drinks and calling out the orders when they were ready. This caused a little bit of a delay, but I think we just ended up being there when it was super busy. Once the rush died down, it seemed as if they had their bearings. Even under pressure, the cashier was really nice and didn't seem at all stressed at multitasking in front of a bunch of hungry people. What I pigged out on: - Carne asada tacos: These were damn good. So good that I was tempted to order two more. They had a good amount of spice to them and the meat was pretty moist. I would have been happy with just a plate of these by themselves and nothing else. - Chicken tamale: I liked that they wrote what was in it on the corn husk. I'm assuming they did this after they made them to be able to tell each one a part. They were cheap and it was a good sized portion. The masa was soft and there was a good amount of chicken inside. It was a little bland, but when I added some of the salsa to it, it was absolutely delish. - Chicken torta: Lately I've been on a torta kick and this definitely hit the spot. It's smaller than some of the others that I've had and the bread was more of a bouillo (sp?) than the soft torta bread. There was a lot of chicken, veggies and jalapenos and I could have easily consumed two without feeling guilty. I really liked it. They had a ton of different drink choices. I didn't know what a lot of them were, so I stuck to iced tea. Yeah. I'm boring. We were stalking the dishes as they were coming out and everything looked yummy. I'll have to try some of their other items out, especially their extensive breakfast menu. You wont break the bank when you come here and you'll be full. I usually come in just for their tortas. They're about $4 and the size of a burger and currently my favorite! They come with avocado and the carne asada tastes like it's been seasoned with lime. I ordered a side of fries once and the fries were pretty good but i'm pretty sure they didn't season them with salt. I usually come by on weekdays in the afternoon when there aren't many customers but I stopped by on a Saturday once and never again. It's a small place that seems to get packed on the weekends and there's only one cashier so the line reached the door. They were poorly understaffed in the front and I felt bad for the lady who had to both take and pass out orders when it looked like one of the other employees was on break. I've been coming here all my life. It's my parents favorite place to come to eat, also, it's walking distance from out home. You can never go wrong with their food here. Taste really good. Their chile rellenos are amazing and so is their shrimp cocktail. Their grilled chicken meal is really good also. It's a place I've always have shared with my family. My parents discovered this place and like most Pico Riverians, I thought it was just another taco spot. But then I tried the chilaquiles. And to this day, I can say this place is hands down the best chilaquiles I've had (outside of my Tia Chuy's in Cardsnas, S.L.P). The huevos rancheros are also equally tasty. I struggle in my breakfast decision every time I come here. The chilaquiles are perfectly made with the salsa cooked into the chips, the eggs fluffy, and the salsa on point.
