    Stopped by again on Sunday 08/24/25 with my boyfriend. Very affordable place and food tastes super duper authentic! Ordered the following: - 1 beef burrito = $8.90 - 1 fries = $2.90 - 1 carne asada taco = $1.70 - 1 tostada de ceviche = $4.50 - 1 tostada mixta = $8 - 1 chips = $1.18 - 1 XL coke = $2.90 AMAZING!!

Tucked away in a small shopping strip next to a veterinary clinic and a Oaxaca Bakery sits Taco Boy. In a time when everything costs $15 and up Taco Boy has you covered because almost everything is around $6-$12 and the food is as if a loved one from a long time ago cooked it. We ordered a dinner special plate called Tampiquena which consist of pan fried skirt steak perfectly seasoned with two enchiladas made with in house red sauce, beans, rice and a side salad. All this costs $13.50 which honestly was a great value because it's very tasty. Also ordered the two Sopes special plate with asada which came with all the typical fixings. What we really liked about the Sopes is that it's freshly made Sopes made with masa. I highly recommend this place because of the quality, price and generous portions. I was a little concerned with the quality since the prices were so affordable but apparently this establishment still values the community so much they're keeping their prices low. Come check this place out.

Good food Grate service Always busy Good menudo Good chilaquiles Register take order fast And cooks take the time to make your food taste good Thank you!

It's a comfort food option . Always so quick with service and announcing numbers in both languages. The area is comfort zone bc my family is from there and they've been coming here for years.

This place is BOMB!I got this wet burrito for the second time already and it HITS for me.. (only bad thing I'd say is GOOD LUCK placing a phone order because it's always packed inside so that's probably why they don't answer lol) 10/10 recommend this spot for anyone looking for a really good spot

The food is tasty. Their chips and salsa are a must! We've never had anything that we didn't enjoy; food is always on point. Do note that often times there is a line, therefore, you have to wait some time for your food to come out. For us, the wait is worthwhile. Reminds me of eating at my abuela's house. Lately, there's been a gentleman in the front taking orders and he's always polite and friendly. The place itself could use some upgrades, as it's outdated. Lots of parking spaces available, but there are times when you have to wait for a spot to open up whenever this place and the neighboring restaurants are busy. You can also call in your order for carry out, but honestly there's a 50/50 chance your call gets answered, so it's best to just go in

Authentic Mexican food at the right price in this small but cozy restaurant. Service moves slow, so come with ample time, but it's definitely worth the true. This place is a neighborhood staple and offers some of the best chilaquiles, fresh tortas and coffee!

I remember a video a restaurant serving chilaquiles but in Pico Rivera,I using Yelp to find the restaurant bingo found it the restaurant called Taquearte California/Duran Mexican Bakery in one building. The restaurant cross between Rosemead Blvd and Beverly Blvd in shopping center on the left there's plenty parking on the street. Found parking just walking distance from the restaurant right ways we notice the restaurant is packed but there's a sign to have a seat and wait. We got a staff member hand a menu and order to the cashier. We look at the menu then we notice people were coming in and getting in line behind us. My wife order the Verdes classics not spicy with a egg on top. I order the same item but with egg and steak m,the eggs and steak are $4.50 each then we order our drinks she got Jamaica and I got a Mexican Coke both are refreshing with a meal are having. We're surprise our meals just arrived at the table so quick my wife couldn't wait to tasted the chilaquiles she love the chilaquiles she this were the best chilaquiles I ever tasted she please. First the chili Verde sauce amazing good so much flavor with right citrus acid in sauce that make the sauce good, but chips were crunchy and hold up to the sauce and cheese add more intense flavors to the dish with egg make everything creamy with Yolk it so good. I went on a taco run yesterday to try to find the best taco in Whittier…read more Started off the run with a keto taco mixed with asada and al pastor and then a regular tripa taco. Keto taco - toasted/grilled cheese instead of a regular tortilla - needed to be done a little more on one side as the cheese wasn't quite toasty enough to stay in place to slightly resemble the shape of a taco. Bit hard to eat, covered my hands in grease. Asada tastes almost boiled, and this being my 2nd or 3rd time getting the Asada here, it consistently tastes like it was boiled and not grilled. Unsure of meat quality or preparation, but there are no grill marks and it's a bit chewy. Same with the al pastor. Tripa taco was bizarre. Strips of flat skin instead of the usual roundish, cylindrical shape of tripa (intestine). Usually a saltier, fattier meat than asada, which is my preference but the one here was lacking in flavor and the texture threw me off a bit. Tripa can be chewy - unless requested extra done, which is how I normally order it - but there was no saving this tripa. I think it needs to be sliced differently, the cuts made it inedible. Brother shared some of his chorizo taco and it was the better of the bunch. Red chorizo, TJ style, although it was also lacking a teeny bit in flavor... onions and cilantro to the rescue! Still, mediocre. Salsas were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think the tortillas were homemade. Service was fine, cashier takes your order, dude at the counter was chill and had a friendly attitude. Seating was limited. Mostly bar style seating but the majority was in front of a window and it had so much heat trapped from the glass that it was kind of uncomfortable. Other seats are too close to the bathroom. Good for a quick bite or just pick-up orders. Wouldn't plan a sit down/dine-in visit. Parking is scarce and has really small spots, wouldn't come if you're driving a pick-up truck or anything like that. Food was reasonably priced, which is good, however; the food was lacking so I would not return.
