On top of that my bean burrito was just a powder they were not hydrated and there was no red sauce. Yeah, I like Taco Bell. Don't love that they no longer take your order. I hate the self serve kiosk.

They need to consider installing gas pumps at the drive thru. I eventually went in to place my order. You can only order at the kiosk. Register was closed. Placed my order at 7:37 pm. There was one person in front of me with a small order. A manager that was leaving even told the staff to make my order before anything else and I still waited until 7:55 pm before I went up and ask them about my order. Two combo boxes took an additional 10 minutes to make. I poured my own drink and bagged my own food before leaving at 8:05 pm. I drove the extra 5 miles to this location because the service is just as bad at the Gateway Commons location and I live 1/4 MILE FROM THAT LOCATION. Why are we paying so much extra to do everything ourselves and the employees still move at glacier speeds? It's all the same ingredients served in different containers! Yikes. Most people would have no words but I have plenty to say. Tonight I was the third car in line, but waited 20 minutes just to get to the speaker. I thought the older lady in the drive though was just trying to figure out how or what to order but nope, she sat there waiting to give her order that entire time. The young lady taking my order begins by telling me they are "out of sour cream, chalupas, crunch wrap supremes, lemonade freezes, strawberry freezes", and a half dozen other items that I can't recall. I ask if it's ok if I order and see if they have what I need because at this point, it's all a blur. I'm half expecting her to tell me they are out of beef and cheese. She sighs loudly - maybe she was hoping I would have driven away at this point? But sadly I've wasted so much of my time already that I'm in it for the long haul. I order. They at least have tacos and nachos. Another 6 mins go by waiting for my food. It seems they are taking orders and filling them as they go. After checking my bag, I wait another 5 while they get me my correct order. All the while I can overhear the employees yelling about how they hate their job, want to quit, but have child support to pay. The lady at the window looked like she was going to pass out when I asked for some hot sauce. I know. How dare I. Clearly no actual management was present or cared. How do you run out of sour cream? There's a Walmart literally across the street. Do I need to go get some for y'all? More importantly, are y'all ok? Whoever owns this location needs to... I don't even know. Close up shop? I'm not looking for a gourmet meal here - it's Taco Bell for crying out loud. I came through the drive-through and as I pulled up with zero other cars in line, I said I need a sec to look over the menu. Within 30 seconds this girl came on the speaker asking me to move on to avoid a ghost order??? But she came on to say that at the exact same time I said I was ready to order when I told her that I had literally just indicated I was ready to order, she snapped back with ma'am I didn't give you attitude and so I drove elsewhere for lunch. People like her do not belong in the service industry, especially in a drive-through window with a menu of more than 75 items. The Wake Forest Taco Bell has the nicest employees - they are always so friendly and I noticed the young lady who rang me up had a "service award" on her name tag, which was well-deserved. You don't go to Taco Bell for fine dining, you go for an inexpensive, decent meal and that's what I got. The salad with chicken was very good, fresh tasting and meat cooked well. The bowl it comes in is a huge tortilla shell and it holds a big salad. Taco Bell offers happy hour on drinks from 2-5, I believe, and I tried a freeze. The drink was quite good and a nice change from a soda or tea. Overall, a good three star experience- friendly servers, decent food and overall pretty consistent (having been here in the past pre-Yelp). read more

I've always really liked Taco Bell as far as fast food places go. It's rare that I actually get to eat it though because I have a very picky child who won't eat anything on the menu. I was heading into Wake Forest and I thought I'd grab some since I was by myself for once. It was pouring down raining so I ordered in the app and pulled through the drive thru to pick it up. First just to give my name over the speaker took FORever. I finally pulled around to the window to pick up my order and waited even longer for my food. I finally got it and checked it, thankfully everything was correct but as I drove past the restaurant, I looked inside and there was NO ONE inside. Not a single person. With how long it took me to get my food, I thought there would be at least one person in there. I ordered one of the "build your own" boxes and got the cinnamon twists as one of my options since I've always loved those. They were absolutely disgusting. Unedible! I was so disappointed! I just had the most bizarre experience here. I stopped here to grab some breakfast on the way to work this morning, and I was the only car in the drive thru the entire time I was there. After a long day of volunteering at the dog shelter which I do 5 times a week where I nurture over a dozen sick dogs with various diseases I came to Taco Bell to get a meal and a refreshment. Upon entering the restaurant the smell alone was so bad that I had to remove myself from the establishment and decided to go through the drive through. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. To put it lightly, I have never experienced this much disrespect in my 68 years of life. I picked up the soggy flour tortilla to find barely anything inside of it. Pardon my french but this was a whole fuck you quesadilla. A "don't come back" quesadilla one would say. Calling this "food" item the epitome of sewage would be an understatement. The kitchen can be super slow with only a few people with orders waiting. The food is generally decent but on a recent trip the Doritos Locos Taco shells were stale. My first Yelp friend (Crush) keep mentioning Taco Bell in her Yelp post so tonight I had no plans for dinner and I decided to make my once a year pilgrimage to Taco Bell (TB) to remember why I don't go to Taco Bell. I must say the new TB in Wake Forest which really is not that new anymore, is a very good looking building as TBs go. New modern look, and kept clean. I also noticed they have a whole new menu with value meals I guess to keep up with McDs. I ordered a number 5, and Nacho Bell Grande with a taco and a drink. The Nacho was not bad with a bit of spice, the taco was mushy by the time I got it home, so I just dumped it into the nacho and mixed it in could not tell. I was still hungry after I was done, and a few hours later I wished i had not eaten this food. I will not be longing for my yearly visit next January. I gave 2 stars for the nice building and the lady in the drive thur was very polite, very helpful, and spoke English (am I allowed to say that). Bear with me because the rating is 5 stars when compared to other fast food restaurants, not all restaurants. That being said, top 2 Taco Bell I've been too. I can judge a TB based on 4 things. 1. Appearance: Is it the new style or not? It was. 2. Cleanliness: No gripes to be had. 3. Service: This is what did it. The girl taking my order was pleasent and smiled (a lot to ask at a TB) AND I had let her know that they were out of Mountain Dew in the machine and she made a point to come over to me and let me know it had been replaced if I would like to get some. 4. Crunchwrap Supreme: Is it grilled shut like it's supposed to be? Is it thin/poorly made? It was the better of both. I am one of the many Americans who love Taco Bell and crave it on a weekly basis. The Taco Bell on Main St. In Wake Forest is a very clean and well managed facility. All of the employees are really pleasant and friendly. I really think that the management here are taking the right steps in making sure that their employees are motivated and respected because all of the employees are giving that vibe to the customers. It seems that the employees pay is now directly impacted by customer service surveys that we are asked to fill out. Coming from a sales background were excellent customer satisfaction surveys were critical in keeping your job, I really believe that Taco Bell made the right move in implementing this. The Burger King and McDonald's in the area could really learn a lesson from the Taco Bell model. read more

Went inside at 8:30pm (so not rush hour or anything) ordered simple nacho's & power bowl, no drinks, to go. They rang it up as two combos. At that point I was like "whatever, its fine". I waited patiently for 23 minutes. It was slow going but i didn't want to get upset as everyone before me was waiting too. Finally they had all been served and a new couple came in to order. They waited 13 minutes and got their food. I still hadn't gotten mine and they ordered more food than I had. I was done at that point, and wanted to know what was taking so long. I was then told my order was coming out after the order they were working on. By this time i was literally the only one waiting on food they simply had to slap in a container and hand to me. This place gives a good reason to visit Chick-fil-A or McD's! This is about the fourth or fifth time I tried this location. I usually get the XXL combo and I like it without gauc, sour cream, lettuce or tomato. Tonight I specified this when I ordered and even counted the four items I did not want on my fingers . . . twice! The taco was fine. The burrito however had lettuce and tomato even after I asked for it not to. I brought it back to the counter and showed the girl (Lauren B) that even after asking and explaining twice she still messed up the order. I expected that they would remake the burrito and bring it to me. I sat there for about 15 minutes with nothing. I finally went back up and told her I wanted a refund and to speak to the manager. This is pathetic! If you cannot take a simple order correctly then find a job where you don't have to think at all. I will never go back to this location.
