It was my first time and the women who took my order was absolutely amazing and very patient. I had no idea what I wanted to try and she offered me so many good options. I went with a chick quesadilla and it was so good. I actually wasn't expecting the portion to be so large, I couldn't even eat it all in one setting, I definitely took it with me. Qdoba is located in a shooing plaza with other businesses that share parking around the business. When you arrive you place you order of nachos, burritos or other Mexican dishes and you can customize it as the food is prepared in front of you. I came in one day and ordered the nachos and chose my proteins and toppings for my meal. Since I was taking my food to-go I chose to get my tortilla chips and cold toppings on the side. When I went to pay for my order the total seemed a little high so I questioned it and was told the price again. I asked to see what I was charged and it was discovered that I was charged for a drink when I didn't order one. He did not acknowledge that he overcharged me at first. This is my opinion we all have them and no one else.... My daughter got a chicken burrito she loved it and was sad it didn't come with chips. The people were as polite as they wanted to be. The food was warm. The restroom needed to be cleaned up ( It was a busy day on Sunday I guess) My daughter had a burrito that she said was heaven sent. It stood up by itself she was overjoyed to have such an amazing burrito. I went to try the impossible meat (I have a weird new allergy). Another lunch here and another three star review. Ordered two bowls (one as a salad), both double chicken. The protein was flavored very well, not spicy at all, which is good for me. Rice was a bit bland (I like chipotle rice better!). It's nice that they offer free guacamole- brought some home for my husband. Two bowls and one drink was $17, definitely much less expensive than Chipotle. The drink machine was out of a few options, which was a bummer. Napkin area was pretty clean and well-stocked. Unfortunately, by the time I got home (15 minutes) our food was cold. Not blaming Qdoba, just know that next time, we'll eat in restaurant. Overall, a decent lunch. It was 9:30 and I know they close at ten but let's remember folks that I am paying for a service and should be treated as such. We are regulars here and cannot remember the staff being this rude but I can say that they are generally not "fun" to work with on any given day. The gentleman that served me tonight was obviously ready to go home. He barely put toppings on my sons burrito bowl. He was very detached and tried to give me old leftover guacamole from a container that was pretty much scraps of guacamole when a whole container sat in front of me. I was meeting my brother for lunch, and he suggested one of his favorite places. His description of it - "a Subway with Mexican food". A very pleasant lady upon finding out this was my 1st visit did an excellent job of walking me through the menu options plus provided me with a few samples. I order the twosome special, with a nacho bowl and two tacos. I got to choose the meats and toppings, hence the Subway reference. Was an enjoyable lunch. It was very cheesy and I enjoyed it. It was so big that I could only eat half. There cheese sauces and other items did not look good as they were preparing my food. I really like Qdoba. All of them. But, this one is great because the manager (I think she is the manager) knows us and knows what and how we like our Qdoba. They are a great "fast food" tex-mex spot. We knew we were going to have problems when they opened one up within walking distance of the house! But, we have been good and only go there, well we go there several times a month. It is just that good. I think I have had probably everything on their menu during my many years eating at Qdoba. They have the big, huge burritos, taco salads, tacos, nachos and tortilla soup. My favorite is their chicken gumbo. It has so much flavor. Rice, black beans, grilled chicken and the tortilla soup and then add whatever salsa you would like (they have four ranging from mild (corn), to pico de gallo, to medium (verde) and then their hot - which is really hot but oh so tasty. I hope everyone figures out that they are in Knightdale (in the Best Buy/Kohl's shopping center). I want them to stay around for a long time. Definitely pick up one of their frequent diner cards. After 10 entrees, the next one is free. You may think 10 is a lot of times to go there, but each entree adds on your card (so if you go with someone else, you get 2 entrees added)... and they're so good that it won't be long before you don't have to spend any dinero to dine free! read more

Visited here for lunch. I had never been to one before, so I asked the counter server what she would recommend. She recommend their lunch deal of two tacos with a bowl of soup. It was a good recommendation. Two soft chicken tacos with Mexican gumbo. Both were very good. I was impressed that she was so quick to offer assistance. She kindly walked me thru the process of building the meal (similar to their competitor Chipotle) and even tried to up-sell a cookie or brownie. Stopped by for lunch run for me and my coworker this Sunday afternoon. Haven't been to Qdoba before, but my friend raves about the place. After stepping inside, my first impression was to liken the place to a Moe's or Chipotle. Hoped my burrito would be just as succulent and delish as the other 2 places consistently are. FOOD: Ordered the Queso steak burrito w/ rice, pintos, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, jack cheese, and salsa verde. Overall was good but not great. What I love about Moe's and Chipotle steak burritos is that you can always distinctly taste the marinated meat, the seasoned rice, and the salsa, apart from the other ingredients. The burrito I had today fell short. Also, was hoping to taste more of the special salsa queso. My friend on the other hand loved her usual steak burrito w/ black beans, corn salsa, and grilled veggies. SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE: Great! My server was upbeat, friendly, and patiently answered all my questions. The place wasn't busy -- I walked straight up to the counter -- so dunno if I would've gotten the same attitude during a hectic lunch rush. And the moment someone else came to the counter to order, backup help was called to tend to them. Dining area was clean. OVERALL: Would have been 2.5 stars because the burrito I had was lacking, but easily bumped to 3 thanks to the excellent and friendly service. I appreciate the fresh ingredients, though, and you can add a bunch of them w/o extra charge. Wish they would throw in free chips like they do at Moe's. My wife and I eat here about twice a month and like the food very much. Lately, however it has gone down hill, from dirty tables, and portions that have gotten a lot smaller.
