I stopped by during a workday lunch looking for something quick. The Firehouse sub was delicious, hot, fast, and fresh. I enjoyed the engineer sub and I would definitely get it again. I loved the Captain Sorenson's sauce, which was a mixture of sweet and spicy. read more

Firehouse Subs - Engineer Sub - Fast Food Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Customer service was terrible. Katie definitely needs training. We were redeeming our T-Mobile Tuesdays rewards. We couldn't find where to put the code in the app & add the correct item to actually show up with the rewards. It wasn't the normal way. We asked the 3 workers. And Katie with the reddish burgundy colored hair said she didn't know and she believed it was expired. Another worker said several others redeemed theirs today so she knew it WAS NOT expired. Told us it had to be through the app. She answered very short & rude. We figured it out. But when another race walked in, she greeted them & assisted them fully. Told them what to do in the app, how to submit their order, etc. Even told them they could switch out their bread for a different kind. It took all I had not to say something to her. I ordered my sub and submitted it through the app. She yelled out my name and asked me 3 times how did I want the sub. I told her 3 times. Mind you, she had the print out for my order but acted as if she couldn't understand. I was not going to repeat it a 4th time WHILE SHE'S LOOKING AT THE PAPER WITH THE ORDER. The restaurant was dirty. Chips & crumbs on the floor. The 2 young men were helpful but Katie & her customer service with ALL races needs training. And I went to eat my sub and it has ham on it. I told her Turkey only with light mayo, light mustard, lettuce and cheese. My goodness. This is ridiculous. I repeated it 3 times and she still got it wrong. SMH. I edited the sub in the app before sending it. read more

For what it is, 5 stars. It's less expensive than Jersey Mike's and the staff were willing to accommodate my special needs. The subs are good and big and hot. They seem to get all the special requests, but the one thing they always seem to miss is that I always check "no pickle spear" but it always gets buried in there anyway somehow! Haha. Oh well. Better to have something extra than something missing. And there was a special BOGO day offer, so that was awesome. The only complaint is there's no easy way to swap the type of cheese in the app. You can delete the cheese that comes with it, but adding another creates an upcharge. read more

Horrible customer service and unsanitary. Using gloves to handle food that they used to handle bills and coins money then reached with those same gloves into a tin of meat to make a sandwich. Won't EVER go there again. read more

Ordered subs through door dash. The driver sat at the store for close to an hour with no clear update as to when our order would be ready. I tried to personally call the store multiple times with no answer. Had to cancel the order due to the delayed time. read more

Ok, not proud to admit this and don't know if this review is TMI, but after a night of drinking or partying, Firehouse Subs has become of my favorite hangover restaurants. This one specifically. The reasons are simple: 1) It's super easy to order food for everyone online in the app 2) I get points for each order, rewarding me with the occasional free sub (I'm saving up for the free catering platter, don't judge me) 3) The subs are big enough to save the other half for dinner, or a snack, later in the day. 4) Everyone is always down for a sub so there's minimal arguing about who wants to eat where. 5) It's pretty affordable and the service is always really quick This location is always consistent, friendly, and fast from my experiences. Except for forgetting my pickles on a handful of occasions... which is unfortunate because I love their pickles. Pretty good! read more

I was very disappointed after not receiving my free birthday sub to find out if you don't spend $1 with the restaurant within 6 mos of your birthday, you will not receive the reward. It's only fair to advise the reward members in the App of this vital information versus being disappointed on your birthday because of a dollar read more

Dirty and poorly kept restaurant. We were served our meal in a filthy box (picture). I'm nauseous when thinking about eating here. Clean the tables, clean the drink machine area, wipe the patio tables, present and serve food in clean boxes. read more

10/10 best subs I have ever gotten my new favorite place workers there are so nice and very helpful

HOLY DELIGHTFUL TRANSITION, Batman!! Left my doctors office and felt hungry. Saw that there was a Fire House nearby. I downloaded the app to see if there was any deals or online ordering. Luckily there were both. I ordered my sandwich and was able to pay through the app. I arrived just under 10 minutes after and was greater by the friendly staff. I let the young man at the register know that I had ordered online. As soon as I gave my name another young guy came up saying, "I just wrapped this as you were walking in ". I was promptly handed my cup, given my receipt, and directed to the area with the chips and drink machine. It was a nice, smooth, effortless transaction. My sandwich was delicious and fresh! Glad I stopped in! read more

Firehouse Subs - Simple, fresh, tasty - Fast Food Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Ok so this is my 1st visit. I grew up in NY and certain regional preferences never die. What makes a good hero (sub) is the bread. All bread is not created equal. I ordered a steak and cheese sub. A good Steak and cheese is greasy and delicious but the bread must be able to hold all of the ingredients....including the grease. Long story short the bread used for my sub was already soggy when I picked up the sandwich I live 2 miles away and left my home not long after ordering. Aside from the bread, the sandwich itself was very tasty. The steak was well seasoned and yes greasy (as it should be). It is probable that I would order from them again..just not a hot sub...I ordered a large thinking that I would save some for later, but sure how it will taste with even more soggy bread. So again I wouldn't object to eating here again, but it will be a small cold sub, if I do... read more

It was a really long wait . Only one person was making subs and two orders were ahead of me.

I think their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I stood there for maybe two minutes, and no one said anything. When one person did look, they looked away like I wasn't standing there. I walked out saying I'm never coming here again. read more

Great subs. They're oversized and generous in portion size for sure! Service is always friendly. We ordered in for a family event a while back and they took good care of our family, even with a few special requests. I usually come where when I'm home for the holidays and will continue to do just that! read more

I really hate to do this, mostly because this is only the second negative review I have submitted on this platform. My boyfriend LOVES Firehouse (smokehouse cheddar brisket - No Mayo, haha) There is a location he typically goes to a few times a week closer to his office but today he asked if I would order online near our home and we could have lunch together! So, of course, I happily did. I was given a Promise Time of 11:45am. I sent him this info since he was scooping it on his way home. When he got there, he said there were about 35 people there (unsure of if it was all walk in's or also door dash/Uber eats, whatever. I placed the order at 11:35am. He did not leave until 10 past noon with our order. Of course, I feel horrible to have been the reason he didn't get to utilize his lunch time and get back to work promptly. He is a very busy man. I understand this time is busy and the lunch rush is crazy. If staffing is an issue, which many businesses are experiencing, that's understandable, but don't take on online orders, and take on walk in orders with zero apparent understanding of how to logistically and efficiently work that system. Especially if there are only two workers in the building, how stressful for them, and how do you expect to retain employees this way? If you use the word "Promise Time" I expect it to be within at least 5 minutes of that time because, I'll be honest, I'm not the most prompt; to the minute lady. Not to mention items from our order were missing :( As much as we love Firehouse, this complete lack of awareness of people's time (just give a realistic "promise time") may deter us from returning. It created a rushed, stressful, unsatisfying lunch for two people that work extremely hard everyday. read more

Don't order online. Ordered online. It was 8pm when I drove to pick up my order. The manager cancelled my order and locked the doors. No online warning. He closed early because he was tired. This all would have been fine if he and two other employees wouldn't have just stared then ignored me standing at the door for 15 minutes. Wouldn't even answer the phone. Just say something!!!! I wouldn't have been upset if you wouldn't have left me standing there. read more

The worst subs. Not only is everything overpriced, but everything tastes frozen and none of the staff are friendly. The food isn't worth the trip, you'll feel nauseous immediately after. :( read more

My kids love this place, and that's what they chose for lunch today. They like the Italian sub, but I can't get that in a kids meal, so I got a large and ask for it to be cut into three pieces so they could share. This was a bit mind-boggling for the person at the register. I got it and it was cut in half in one large box. I asked for three baskets so my kids could each eat their portion, and while they did give them to me they said they're not supposed to because of Covid. If they gave me three small boxes that would've been OK also. While we were eating directly across from the counter, the two girls behind the counter had an in-depth conversation about how terrible the management was an everything that was wrong with not only their store, but others in the chain. Including suggesting labor laws were being violated. Interesting, but not really appropriate when you are approximately 3 feet away from customers. read more

I have been a regular at firehouse subs for almost since their inception. I stood first in line at the counter for 10 minutes here and was never even acknowledged. I muttered some expletives that were quite audible and left. This is a horrible place. I will come back in about a month and if it is not have been corrected, I will no longer patronize Firehouse. There were a few people in there, but not really that many maybe 10 or 12, and half were already sitting at a table eating. I have very seldom been this disappointed with any restaurant that I frequent. I truly would rate this horrible. read more

Was not impressed at all to be honest and won't come back unfortunately. Not because it does not taste good but the competition has a lot more to offer. It's expensive for what it is and the sandwich's are small !! I must admit the taste is good but that all. read more

Ive been to this specific location (edwards mill & Ed drive) before. This was the worst experience so far. I walk in and a postal service worker is sleeping, laying on a table asleep, by the door. There is usually a "welcome to firehouse" as a customer enters but not this time. Trash cans on either end of the restaurant are overflowing, and the floor was dirty and even sticky in places. the counter by the drink machine was filthy, items laying about randomly. There are 3 employees, eventually, and one is slowly fixing my order while the other 2 casually converse, meanwhile I'm standing in filth. When I got my order, the bag had grease and sauce on it. I won't be returning, the quality at this location has been worsening for a while now. I almost didnt stop as the "open" sign wasn't even on. I guess the employees were warning me. read more

The service was good. The sub was totally fine, but I thought that it was kind of pricey. I don't eat much meat, so I just had a sub with veggies & cheese. It was tasty for a fast food sandwich, but paying $6.71 for it seemed a bit high. I would have preferred the bread to be toasted a bit more. I doubt that I will be hurrying back, but if I am in the area & need a quick bite to eat, I may return. I was there near closing time, and a guy that seemed to be in a managerial role was on top of things. He smelled bread burning & asked the sandwich maker if he needed any help. He also had a great interaction with a lady that came in while I was waiting for my sandwich. If anyone from corporate reads this, keep that guy! read more

Ordered online tonight for pickup at 7:25 but got there a bit early and thought I would see if it was done. Of course I didn't mind waiting because it wasn't there, so I got my chips/drink and waited for my order by the pickup station. When I walked in, no one acknowledged me and the employees looked like they just did not want to be there. The girl making my sub must have not liked me standing there waiting for my order because she kept giving me dirty looks. When my sandwich was done she brought it over to the pickup counter and glared at me as she put it down. Walked away without a word to me and started slamming things around and walked away with such an attitude. I am never one to leave reviews, but this Firehouse location has ignored me every single time I have come in here and given off the vibe that they hate every customer that walks in. Not sure I even want to eat my sandwich now as she was giving me pretty nasty looks. Employees need to do better and be more polite to customers. read more

Tucked away on the corner of Ed st. there's a wonderful little slice of heaven. The great Paul works there and is the kindest, most hardworking man I've ever met. He recommended one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and thanks to him I will become a loyal customer. Thanks Firehouse!!! read more

Staff very friendly. Very clean, organized, well stocked. Owner is super friendly and in to customer service; tries to make you feel at home. Quick service when I have gone. Ordered online once and that was easy. They have one of those big soda dispensers that has like 30 choices for beverages. Portions are large for sandwiches and drinks. A $6.50 sub can last me 2 meals because it is very hardy. Great about custom orders. They offer catering and I will update my review after I try that! read more

I love Firehouse Subs!! Their subs are the best and way outshine Subway and other sandwhich shops.

Great food but insanely slow! Management should have more people on staff for a lunch shift on a Sunday!! Been waiting for over 15 minS

This Firehouse sub is A1. They had such great customer service and they make you feel like family every-time you go in this location. I received some of the most kind and friendly service from NeeNee and Charleigh. They are both hard workers and pleasant. Thank you so much for the love and I will definitely be only making my purchases of sub from this located. #SpreadLoveIsTheBrooklynWay lol they will understand if the see this thanks ladies!!!!! read more

The customer service here was unbelievable. That alone deserves five stars and the food sends this over the top! I believe the manager or owner took my order. I asked for a veggie sandwich since I don't eat meat and he went into detail of what would be on the sandwich so I could customize it. I went with his suggestion (adding mushrooms, three types of cheese) and I'm glad I did. He came by to ask how I liked it twice and even remembered my name. I don't think this is rare - he seemed to know everyone who came in and had a nice conversation with each person. This location does a great job of making sure the customer is satisfied. I will definitely be coming back! read more

This place is great! I've now been here over ten times and the food has been great, service top notch, and the place has always been super clean! Everyone who works here seems so friendly. I've always gotten the turkey and cranberry which is every bit as fabulous as it sounds. My fiancé usually gets the hook and ladder although he's gotten the Italian before. Both were really tasty. They've got a pretty extensive menu for a sub place, hot and cold subs and salads. They've got an under 500 calorie section, too, for both their salads and sandwiches so you can be conscientious of your eating and still get some delicious food. Definitely a convenient favorite. I've not eaten at other Firehouse Sub locations, so I can't compare this one to others, but this location gets 5/5 stars! Ps the owner is the friendliest person on the planet! read more
