Everything is amazing and they get you in and out quickly (and impressively quickly,imho, when they appear to be really busy) I'm partial to the traiwick sub or tbc on a white sub roll.... Though the deli atmosphere resembles that of an old school mom and pop's dinner, the service there is on point and the sandwiches there are out of this world. The delicious Cuban came with spiced roast pork, Ham, Swiss, herb mustard, pickles, Cuban bread. The Tampa Cuban was a fun remix the original Cuban and added garlic sopressata. Favorites include The Big Veg - one of the best vegetarian sandwiches ever. Not only is it huge, the spices on it just bring the veggies to life. I also enjoy the Reuban, the Basil Turkey, the Curry Chicken Salad, and Cuban. Their salads are wonderful too - the Lunch salad is truly enough for two meals - it is a club salad (ham, turkey, cheese etc.) with 2 side salads such as chicken salad and pasta salad. Great flavor, dressings were all placed on the side which was very kind (ordered this for our team of 55!)and she even let us pick from pre made sandwiches or build your own, which satisfied everyone'a preference's. 1 month ago a photo from Yelp showed Lunchbox Deli offered Pastrami on their menu.. Well went in today and they no longer offer it. So, initially I thought to grab something else but I had sandwiches from there before many, many moons ago and thought I'd give it a try. Order the "build your own" corn beef, turkey and ham with all the fixings on a toasted sub roll. First off, the roll DID NOT TASTE TOASTED? However, it was the BEST PART of the sandwich. Not sure why the amount of deli meat was so slim? For this to be a 3-meat sandwich there was more bread than anything - very good bread though. My total was $9.47.. In fairness, the sandwich was not "terrible", for the price.. definitely would have selected something else from somewhere else. In the photo, that is the meat on the bottom and I thought the pickle spear would be of value.. Wrong, it had NO snap, crisp or any signs of freshness to it at all! I can say the customer service was up to par and there was a flow of customers. Also, I was told the Pastrami was removed from the menu because they kept having to "throw it away" cause no one ordered it. There is plenty of parking and indoor seating should one decide to eat in.. Small space though.. Most of us placed our orders to go. read more

New ownership for about the last year so prices have gone up some between that and in general I suppose. The only thing I ever get there is the Cuban - I L.O.V.E. it! Co-workers also like the turkey sub, and the salads. but it should be noted that the chicken salad is more like curry chicken salad, a surprise for those not expecting it. I cant tell you about anything else on the menu, the Cuban is all I get! I do know the menu changes, new things tried, old things removed, so if you find something you love, keep buying it (I think I had a Cuban at least 2 if not 3 times last week!) Dont know if it is the best around (it was the first one I ever tried) but it is a lot better than the Cuban at Bahama Breeze, if that means anything. Located off the beaten path off Capital Blvd, Yelp suggested the Lunch Box Deli for me. Not a fancy place at all, and definitely more of a 'grab and go' vibe, but the staff is incredibly friendly and this place definitely has a neighborhood vibe. The sandwiches are really good, on the smaller side, but perfect for a party of 1, and they have a decent amount of suggestions. I got the roast beef with Muenster on a white roll, and the kid got a turkey with provolone lettuce and tomato. He loved it and housed the whole thing. Lunches come with a bag of chips- again smaller than usual but perfect for 1 person. The chocolate chip cookies were solid as well. We're not in the area much, but I'd definitely swing by here again if the opportunity presented itself. read more
