We stopped in the day after Christmas, they were pretty busy but we didn't wait long for a table. I ordered the Reuben with pastrami. Hubby ordered the Italian submarine. We shared the burnt ends potato salad. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. My Reuben was meaty and cheesy served up on the delicious rye bread. Hubby's Italian submarine was huge - no shortage of deli meat, crisp veggies with a good amount of tangy Italian dressing. The burnt ends potato salad was very unique, flavorful and had a nice texture. Ish was a great lunch spot and we would definitely be back!

The wrap was so so good and the goat cheese and avocado mashed in made it all taste so healthy and flavorful! I will definitely be back to try out more on the menu!

There could not have been more than five or six ounces, likely less meat on the sub. They also UPCHARGE for a few chopped spicy cherry peppers. That brings me to the next point. If you go on the busy days be ready to wait long sitting times, is not because of the place itself but because people will overextend their stay and because the local is small it could fill up very quickly. On my visit here I waited over 50 minutes to be sit. Rather than a critic is more of a heads up so that it doesn't take you by surprise. To touch on the food a little bit, I specifically got the breakfast burrito and it was incredible enjoyable. Got some fries as a side and some mushrooms and everything was tasty and fresh. If you aren't sure what to order you won't go wrong ordering that. I would suggest that it be nice to see a traditional american breakfast on the menu. 9/10 would definitely come back!

Drinks: I ordered a matcha latte, iced with oat milk. I knew it was a mistake as I watched them make it and the match came out of a squeeze bottle. My mom ordered hot black coffee, claiming it tasted burnt and was undrinkable. Mains: I ordered the strawberries & cream pancakes which came with three extremely tiny pancakes, that tasted like whole wheat. The "fresh jam" was overly sugared and had a smoothie like consistency. For $16 I was hungry and disappointed. My mom ordered the grain and egg bowl, wait it was underwhelming. Shocked there are so many positive reviews.

It pretty much tasted like oat milk and you can see from the picture that the matcha is barely even green. Really disappointed with my drink. The burrito was just ok. It wasn't good but it wasn't bad. There wasn't a lot of flavor, which is surprising for a chorizo burrito. The salsas also weren't very flavorful. The biggest difference between the two salsas were the spice. It seems like the burrito takes a lot of time to prepare. A lot of people who ordered way after me got their food before me. I'd recommend something else if you want something quick.

And parking is not the easiest, you will likely find yourself in the Harris Teeter garage. But the wait is worth it. As a NJ native and something of a sandwich aficionado, I have a rather discerning taste for a good sub sandwich. So upon a friend's recommendation, I went with the classic Italian. It came with prosciutto, hot capicola, genoa salami, and sharp provolone cheese. Note to everyone: Go for the sharp provolone, not mild! The first thing I want to say about this sub/hoagie is major props for the bread. It was crusty with sesame seeds on the outside, pillow soft inside. About the only thing I would wish is that it was semolina bread. Outside of that, kudos for the bread. Plenty of meat on the sandwich, which is key. I HATE HATE HATE when I order a sub and they give me something like three or four slices of meat. Not gonna name names...but that's not an issue at PH. I really like the grab and go options for various food items like long hot peppers, broccoli rabe, pickle chips, and dirt pudding. Excellent addition. I'm taking a star off since they only offer bottled drinks, you can't get free refills. No brewed iced tea, that's only available in bottles too. I'll at least forgive them for having Pepsi products since that's a Philly tradition. I'll definitely return to try their Italian tuna, chicken cutlet, and roast pork options.
