It was a decent size lunch portion. My friend had shrimp and rice and vegetables. She said it was cooked well, tasted great and took some leftovers home. The decor was colorful and fun. I love the plug-in lighting, spread out all around the ceiling, and the bright colors. I sat at the bar and had a beer and a couple of tacos. Service was quick and fairly friendly. They had some decent beers on tap (I had a sour which was pretty good). The taco selection looked pretty good. My street taco with pork was just pork with some gravy in a taco (plus some veggies), but it hit the spot. Similarly, my chorizo taco (I asked for it mild, and I don't know if they toned it down or it's just CNY spicy) was pretty solid, with plenty of meat, enough cheese and slaw, and an overall good taste. Neither of these tasted like SoCal or NorCal tacos, but there are a lot of different tacos out there from a lot of different places, and I don't want to get started on authenticity. It tasted good.

The experience was super disorienting, but the food was worth whatever the heck that was. To make it simple, you walk in and place the order at the counter inside. The guy in the food truck doesn't speak English, but one of the guys at the counter will run the order out to him. The first time we went, we walked up to the truck and started to order, but realized the guy was trying to tell us to go inside and order. We went inside and there were four guys at the counter who took my order and told me it'd be ready. I went back and sat in the car for a while, but noticed the guy was just sitting at the window looking out. I was confused, so I walked back to the food truck and he kept pointing inside again. I eventually realized they never relayed my order to him. The guys inside were also not super easy to talk to, but we finally sorted it out, and one of the guys ran out and told him what to make. It'd be cool if they put up some signs explaining what's happening. It was a Saturday, and for a reason I didn't pick up, they don't do fish tacos on Saturdays. I think they said they clean their fryer that day, so weekend options might be limited. We did manage to try all three tacos over two visits. There's a discount if you get three. All of them were drizzled with salsa and cilantro. If you can get the fish, get the fish. The fish is lightly crispy and goes best with the setup. Chicken was a close second, and then beef. The beef was a bit tough, but the chicken and beef were seasoned well and those two contain salsa verde. They should put some roasted jalapenos on the side. They do use regular, probably store bought flour tortillas for these. If they used fresh corn tortillas, they would be unstoppable. I get why they don't, given their space and the complete vacuum of Mexican resources in Syracuse. We also tried lamb and chicken rice bowls, which were absolutely solid. Everything tasted totally fresh. The meat was melt in your mouth tender, and very well seasoned over fluffy yellow rice and several amazing sauces drizzled over it. Normally I like to pause and try to understand the flavor profile of what I'm eating. I genuinely forgot to do that. Once we started on these bowls, we didn't really slow down. The bowls come with a C&C brand soda from the cooler. You can get whatever flavor you're into, but obviously get blue. You need to try this place out. These are some of the best Mediterranean style rice bowls we've had around here, and some amazing tacos as well.

But it failed to deliver. The space was large roomy but noisy. And very nicely appointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. These are the reasons for the stars. The food was meh. Nearly everything was tasteless. The shrimp ceviche was basically some cooked shrimp mixed with pico de Gallo and very thinly sliced avocado. We asked for more lime to give it a little kick. My steak fajitas were okay - the rice and beans flavorless. The portion was huge. My husband's enchilada burrito was "okay" we asked for some hot sauce; we were given a choice house or commercial - opted for house. It was bland. The margaritas was so-so; I opted for fresh rather than mix. All in all not likely to go back. Also their tip calculator includes tax in the tip calculation -- a no-no.
