And Authentic it was. Huge portions. The best refried beans. Flavorful Enchiladas. Awesome Service. Can't believe we didn't stop in sooner. Great ambience and family friendly atmosphere.

Great portions, great tasting. Just a great place to go if you're craving Mexican food. Not the greatest of quality but nothing bad to say about it. You get what you pay for and it's good!

Came here on a recommendation from my boss. Typically used to Tex mex so authentic was rather new to me. Got the primos special with chicken and slow roasted pork chorizo in it covered with queso Mexican rice and beans. Freaking amazing such and amazing juicy blend of flavor and texture. This is going to be a frequent place to visit for me. Upbeat fun Spanish music I found myself hopping around to and a nice comfy dining room. Staff was friendly and willing to answer questions and the chips and salsa before we even ordered was an added amazing flavorful bonus. I'm a sucker for chips and salsa but these took the cake. Check this place out !!

    Carnitas, rice, beans

Went to Tres Primos for the 1st time Saturday evening after recommendations from friends. It was only a 10 min wait, but we were told to wait outside. They had tables in the entryway (I'm assuming for social distancing) so there was no where to wait inside. Unfortunately we were sat at one of those tables right next to the door. It was a chilly day so every time the door opened we got hit with the cool air. I was very surprised that chips and salsa are not an automatic thing they bring to the table. You have to order them and they cost extra. I was willing though as you cant go out for Mexican and not have chips and salsa. Honestly they weren't as good as our favorite Mexican place that gives them complementary. The chips didn't taste fresh and home made. I ordered Carnitas. They came with rice and beans. They brought them out on the biggest plate I've ever seen. It wasn't necessary as the food was extremely spread out. (See picture) The carnitas were good. I wish they a had served some sort of pico, salsa, or sauce with it as it just needed a little something. The rice and beans I did not like. The beans had no flavor and were overwhelmed with cheese. The rice was a little undercooked. Service was quick but our server seemed impatient and annoyed. It could be due to the fact that a fight broke out in the next room while we were sitting there. It was hard to read our bill and make sure everything was right because they apparently don't have a POS system. They wrote it all by hand and our server did not have neat writing. I figured that the dollar amount seemed about right and just went by that. I have a few other Mexican restaurants I like and 1 I absolutely love so safe to say I won't be taking the hike to Elbridge for this Mexican restaurant again.

Always a great time. My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Food is always piping hot and the service is spot on. They have a little of something for everyone. Get the Steak street tacos you won't go home hungry. Enjoy

For years I've wanted to try this spot and finally got there to make it happen. We went in a Friday at 6pm. We waited about 40 minutes for a table for 6. The dining room is a good size but not huge. It probably seats 30 people. They were prompt with drinks and you get complimentary chips and salsa. I had the fajitas tejana (?). It is the fajita option with chicken, steak and shrimp. A friend got the same thing and only got 1 shrimp! I got 4 in mine, so some inconsistencies there. It came with a side of rice and beans. The flavor and portion was good on mine. I really think that everyone's was a lot of food. I ordered the guacamole salad. The guacamole was ok but the lettuce it was on was watery and just too wet. There was standing water in the bottom of he dish. My husband liked it better than the Mexican restaurant that we most recently tried before this. I would say it was probably similar.

Was recommended by one of my bosses to come eat at this spot, and didn't think I was going to come until I saw it randomly on the drive home from a brewery trip near the finger lakes. The service here is very quick; we ordered and had our food within 5-8 minutes, no joke. The portions are big, but the cost is a bit much. I ordered 3 enchiladas with red sauce. The chicken enchilada was standard, the ground beef unimpressive and bland, and the shredded beef was surprisingly very good. If and when I come back I think I will get all 3 shredded beef. The enchilada red sauce is decent but could've used a bit more spice. One thing I noticed with the presence of tapatio and cholula sauce at each table, which I really appreciated, compared to some other "Mexican" restaurants in the area that have only Tabasco and Franks Red Hot.

    Fresh made guacamole dip

As much as we always enjoyed the food here, being told we had to pay for additional chips when we ordered guacamole dip, and that only cash is accepted for under $20 at the end of our meal, as we were paying separately did not make for a pleasant ending. Will be a while before we return.

This is literally a service platter- so huge! Chili poblanos were very good!

I was craving Mexican and two in my area were closed. I drove from Syracuse and glad I did. Tasty food and enough for another dinner. Nice waiter despite being very busy. I'd come back!

Too much garlic in all their dishes. I liked the tropical slant to their Mexican food, .., instead of spicy.

The restaurant serves an Americanized Tex-Mex menu of tacos, burritos, fajitas, enchiladas and quesadillas. The restaurant itself maintains some of the interior features of the former Applebee's that it inhabits, as the main dining space surrounds a sunken bar area with a large rectangular bar. My wife, mother-in-law and I recently dined in while running errands in the area. We went in around 1PM on a Saturday and were sat right away. We liked the way it's been remodeled, it's very nice inside. Our server came over pretty much right away, got us our drinks and chips and salsa. Complimentary chips and salsa were both good. One thing we liked about them was that the menu has different offerings - most Mexican restaurants seems to have the exact same menu, but Adelita's had a couple offerings that I hadn't seen at other restaurants. My wife chose the Adelita's platter as her meal, my MIL went with fajitas and I went with the Pastor Burrito - stuffed with slow cooked pork and pineapple. Our food was brought quickly and was mostly okay - one thing I liked is they offer black beans as a bean option, as I'm not a fan of refried, but their rice had absolutely no flavor - just as bland as could be. The biggest issue I had while there was I went to use the bathroom while I was there. After doing my business, I went to flush with my foot - and as the toilet flushed down, water sprayed everywhere out of the pipe that goes up to the handle. I told an employee about it as I came out, who told me they knew about it and kinda just shrugged it off - but no sign or anything was up to warn anyone about the free shower. Overall, between that and the okay food, we just felt there were better options for Mexican available in the area.

Friends invited my wife and I out to El Mezquite over the weekend, so we gave them a shot. First off, did not realize until we got there that the place in inside of a hotel, so that was an interesting discovery. We were sat immediately, given menus, had our order taken & food brought to us in a timely fashion. My wife ordered chile relleno while I ordered tacos de diablas - three tacos with steak, chorizo, and a spicy red sauce. Most of my party was happy with their food. Mine was fine, although the meat was a bit rubbery and the red sauce wasn't very spicy, but I suppose my problem with El Mezquite is the same as most of the Mexican restaurants in the same area - I'm convinced they all just order the exact same stuff from the same place. El Mezquite's menu is the exact same as most other Mexican restaurants in the area, same offerings, even the rice tastes exactly the same in all these places, so I'm becoming less and less convinced there's any authenticity for most of the places in CNY. That said, the food was fine, our service was fine as well, but I don't believe we'd return for the simple fact that we can find the exact same dishes at other, closer establishments.

That may not have been completely necessary but it was busy and it never hurts to have one. The location of the restaurant may be tricky if you aren't familiar with Baldwinsville. There is a fairly spacious lot in the middle of The Bville diner, the dollar general and San Miguel for reference. And San Miguel itself from the parking lot goes down a ramp or stairs to the entrance of the restaurant. The restaurant itself stays true to the form of all the iterations that came before it, a good sized space with ample seating and in warmer weather there is some seating outside by the river. The booth we sat at had an unfortunate feature of being right under the heating and air conditioning and we were going from hot to cold depending on the heat going on and off. If you enter and go left and straight back to the corner, you may want to avoid that table until that can be adjusted. Most importantly the food and service were both incredible! Our server was fantastic and she took great care of us during a busy evening there. All the food was delicious and there were happy tummies all around. The jalapeno poppers were some of the best I've ever had. The main courses everyone either finished every bite or made sure to take the rest home. We all ordered our own dessert and again 4 happy sets of taste buds. If you can't tell what I'm getting at, it's that you won't be disappointed with whatever you get. Best Mexican ever, that's for you to decide, absolutely delicious, it definitely was. I highly recommend San Miguel and when you go, I of course, hope you enjoy!!
