We were in the city and craving tacos, I had seen people recommend this place so wanted to try. First time going here, hard to tell if they were open from the outside but maps said they were so we went in. Cute little place. Food was very good! I got Beef Birria Tacos which are one of my fave and they did not disappoint. My husband got the same but with the rice and beans and that was so good. Huge portions!! Authentic taste and Def worth it!
We tried the beef and chicken tacos from the birria quesa tacos food truck and they were delicious, the perfect texture and full of flavor. We also tried the pineapple cucumber refresher and strawberry watermelon refresher which were both perfect for a hot day, flavorful but not too overly sweet. Staff was helpful and food was ready quickly!
On a random Thursday night we walked in assuming it'd be a quick grab n' go meal. We very quickly saw that was not the case as a stream of customers went in & out of the front doors every few minutes. We knew it'd be a bit of a wait for our order to be ready and given the delicious smells coming from the kitchen, we decided to take a seat in their dining area and get comfortable. The wait was more than worth it as we scarfed down our meals that were packed with flavor. The agua fresca was the perfect, refreshing drink to pair with our meal. And of course, no good meal skips dessert. Despite our full stomachs, we made room to split a slice of tres leches that reminded me of Mexican desserts back home in LA. Our cravings were more than satiated.
I was in the area and came across this restaurant. The food hand down delicious. We had tacos, quessadillas and tres leches. The birria, sauce is so good. The tortilla for the tacos homemade. The service is excellent, nice family owned business. The owner Candy is so nice and her daughter as well. The location is easy to find with street parking outside. They have music playing, but not too loud. If you are in the area check out this place. A+
Did delivery on a cold night. Fresh and Flavor-full. Good selection . Authentic rich spices on the taco. Just right
We came in on a particularly snowy Syracuse day. Hunger eating away at us. When I walked in , I immediately locked eyes with the tres leches. "What is that?" I inquired. I knew I had to have it. It was always the plan to get the chicken birria burrito, but this tres leches hit me like they say love does; when you stop looking for it. Let's get into the review. Tres Leches: 11/10. We got the last strawberry tres leches. It was a hefty $11, but BOY WAS IT WORTH IT!!! Words can't describe how heavenly this was. If you need a dessert, get this. Chicken birria burrito 8/10 The consume carried, but the burrito had a nice crunchy outside that really added to the experience. The shredded meat was yumf in taste and texture. Chicken birria tacos 9/10 Much better than the burrito. Corn tortillas were crunchy, and the consume, again, was a great addition
Super impressed with this place. First of all, kudos to the owner on hours of operation. We are desperately in need of late night spots on Fri/Sat and general Sunday operation. Also, took a chance and ordered delivery....Food arrived in perfect condition! The tacos were delicious. Probably the best birria I've had. Packed full of flavor and not skimpy at all. Also love that they weren't soggy as I feel like a lot of places struggle to find that balance with birria. The consume was delicious and perfect consistency as well. You def get your money's worth. My fav was the shrimp. I'll def be ordering from here again.
It's been on my radar for awhile and finally made it this weekend (Oct 2024). I had the birria tacos; one beef and one chicken. They were outstanding and may be the best birria I've ever eaten. A simple interior that is a counter to order with a countertop and barstools facing the street. There is also a sizable event/dining room that were offered to us for eating but we decided to stay in the window and watch the day pass by while pigging out. I'll be back here again hopefully soon. If you love birria then don't hesitate and get some!!!
Really amazing Birria tacos! I have never been to the actual store but I was able to try their tacos at the taste of SYR. The line was so long and rightfully so because their food is great. The tacos were filled with meat, the consume sauce was amazing and they provide limes for a fresh squeeze. Definitely would love to check out the actual store and try some other menu items!
Finally! I have been wanting to try the birria from this place for a long time! It was worth the wait! They opened a new location very close by so it's time. Despite the long wait they arrived hot, crisp and they were so big! They were so delicious! The beef super flavorful. Lots of beef and cheese! Prices were very reasonable considering how much food was there. Will definitely be back probably for pickup instead of delivery. It's a cute location with a small parking lot.
Hands downs the best tasting birria tacos in Syracuse. I bought the 5 for $25 bundle and 100% worth the price. The tacos are big enough to where you get full after two and they are generous with the meat. The flavor is impeccable and I love the crunchiness of the tortilla. The consume and salsa are tasty and add to the level of flavor. I was a little scared to try the horchata because I have not had good horchata in Syracuse but this exceeded my expectations. Food is outstanding and reasonably priced.
Great deal. Birria tacos were not soggy at all and had the perfect amount of crisp. Everything about it was fresh. The employees are sweet and efficient! read more

If you're craving authentic birria tacos in Syracuse, this is the spot! I ordered the 5 pack beef birria tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The flavor is savory and perfectly balanced with that crispy goodness that makes every bite irresistible. The meat is tender and packed with seasoning. These are the kind of tacos you crave again and again. It's comfort food at its finest and worth it. A must try if you're looking for real flavor and authenticity in the area. Great service & casual dining available. We ordered take out this time around but highly recommend!!! Treat yourself. read more

These were absolutely delicious. I had a mix of the beef and chicken tacos, both were excellent. They come with 3 different sauces. A robust red sauce, a lighter red sauce with overtones of cilantro, and a spicier green sauce. All were delicious, though I was longing for a green sauce with a little more heat. The service was great. They were a bit backed up when I got there and they offered me a free drink while I was waiting. The Syracuse test kitchen was clean and neat, but the atmosphere was quite nondescript. They were playing some indigenous music. This is real food with a home cooked character. Nothing like the fast food chains. I was delighted and look forward to sampling the rest of their menu. Highly recommended. read more

Best Tacos in Syracuse Area. 10/10 chicken and beef birria tacos. And the tres leches oh my goodness. Get yourself some, don't overthink it. They run a clean business and deliver on their food. Will be back again and again read more
This isn't the most appetizing photo because I already ate one but we tried Birria queso tacos for the first time and they were delicious. We ordered from here once before and they canceled on us after the order said it was on its way, so that was a little disappointing but we decided to give them another shot. The tacos were big and filling for the price. I was impressed at how crispy they were for sitting in a takeout box and how well the tortillas held up. We'll definitely order again. read more

SYRACUSE! THESE ARE THE BEST BIRRIA TACOS YOU WILL EVER EAT! HANDS DOWN 10/10! 5 STARS! What started as a sweet woman sharing her fathers family birria recipe has turned into the hottest taco crave in Central NY! The flavor is absolutely amazing and has you craving more after every bite. Almost every person I've seen eat them for the first time either have no words or the only thing they can say is, "OH MY GOD!" Over and over again. These babies speak for themselves. DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE! They have beef or chicken tacos available as singles or in packs of 5. They also offer quesadillas. The tortillas are homemade! Did you see what I just said? FROM SCRATH HOMEMADE TORTILLAS!!! The sauces are also homemade and to die for. I cannot rave enough about the flavor of these tacos. There is usually a bit of a wait but 100% worth it. I promise. They're currently operating out of the Salt City Test Kitchen in Syracuse NY. The best way to get in on the deliciousness is to follow their social media pages on Facebook or Instagram and keep an eye out for when they're selling!!! They ALWAYS sell out so get there early, call if they tell you to call. Just don't wait on it cause you will regret it. read more

OMG this place was amazing!! If you're in the Syracuse area I would highly recommend going here. Everything is homemade and totally authentic. The owner was friendly and helpful. The building is unassuming from the outside but don't let that fool you, the food on the inside is top shelf. I can't say enough about the place. read more
