Families were walking by, live music was playing across the street, and people were sitting barefoot on the grass trying to stay grounded. Meanwhile, we were being spiritually guided by the smell of Mexican food coming from Salsa Verde Grill. It pulled us in like a tractor beam! We started with the fresh guacamole, blue corn chips, and their Christmas sauce a combination of red and green sauce. Oh man Christmas came early! That sauce was so good I almost asked for it in a cup with a straw. My wife ordered the steak burrito, and it was so big she couldn't finish it. Imagine that! I ordered the enchiladas topped with a fried egg, refried beans, and rice. Oh boy, I was stuffed but somehow kept eating like I was training for the Mexican Food Olympics. Our daughter ordered the same thing as Dad, but hers was smothered in that delicious holiday sauce. She couldn't finish hers either. My wife and daughter are a couple of wimps! Or maybe I'm just a big-backed roly-poly with no quit in me. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was perfect.
