Found this place while camping at Schoodic Woods, great little place and very authentic. Great prices, $1.75/2.25 for soft tacos.

Omg there is so much to say about this small Mexican restaurant!…read more We came in around 2 for lunch they were able to fit a party of ten in with only 26 seats. THIS IS THE CUTEST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER SEEN! The colors are beautiful together and the decorations fit right in! I ordered my food within minutes. And was so impressed by my food! I ordered the chicken quesadilla with a side of sour cream. Hands down the best quesadilla I have ever had in my life! My friends all said the same. The quesadillas were large and filling (especially after a 15 mile bike ride ‍). I don't know if I was just hungry but I would absolutely come back but unfortunately ten hours in a car is not the most fun . This place deserves a 10 stars easily. I am so impressed by this restaurant. I'm blown out of the water. I am so amazed.

We tried Langosta while visiting Bar Harbor after a morning in Acadia…read more From the outside, it doesn't look like much and you'd probably walk past it if you didn't know what it was. Inside, while a small storefront, is a very nicely decorated restaurant with good vibe. The Pros: The staff was very friendly, quick to seat us and take our drink/food order. The food came out very quickly as well and was delicious for the most part. We started with an appetizer of the trio of dips (salsa, queso and guacamole w/chips), then ordered a chicken quesadilla and a barbacoa burrito bowl. The chicken quesadilla and the burrito bowl had a great flavors. The Cons: The trio of dips was good, less the guacamole. It came out with liquid in the middle of it and had absolutely no flavor to it. That said, the salsa and the queso were very tasty. While overall delicious, the portion sizes and the pricing are not aligned. $51 and change before tip is astronomically high.

We decided to eat in a regular restaurant rather than fast food for our most recent trip to Bangor…read more We were in the mall area and saw Las Palapas near the hotel and decided to try it for a change of pace. Our server was helpful and friendly. We started with the standard chips and salsa. I liked it fine, but the salsa was too spicy for my wife. The server offered some enchilada brown sauce for her instead. It was a nice thought, but my wife disliked the taste and, I must agree, when I sampled it I felt it tasted unsuitable, at least for that purpose. It was Margarita Monday and I would have liked to indulge, but I was driving so I demurred. We both ordered taco salads for our meal. Taco salad is also a Monday special, priced a dollar less than the regular dinner version. Just out of curiosity, after my wife ordered the lunch special with guacamole, I ordered the regular dinner version. Our salads looked about the same, except hers had more ground beef for whatever reason. So my experiment was inconclusive. The taco salad was pretty good, and we brought some home with us for later, so it was a good value these days at around $10 each. Ordinarily I would finish by saying we'll be going back again, but the spicy salsa is probably a deal breaker for my wife, unless we bring our own mild salsa!

Tasty tacos -- if you can even find this place -- but be prepared to wait a long time, even if you…read moreare the only customer during the off season (late-September).   We ordered fish tacos, once we rounded up the cook/owner, who was at her compost heap instead of the food truck, even though she'd been "open" for over an hour. She then said that she didn't have any rice and beans cooked, so she'd give us four tacos instead of three to compensate. Okay, that seemed fair. Then she confessed that she still had to make the tacos, so it would take about 20 minutes, and suggested that we should go sightseeing. Well, we'd already been sightseeing all morning and were ready to eat! Plus we'd spent hours the previous day trying to find this place because she hadn't updated her location for months online, only updating it the morning we placed our order. Even with the new address, it was puzzling to find. The only sign was on the northern perimeter, giving the impression it was the neighbor's driveway that led to the food truck, so we pulled in there initially. The truck is actually tucked parallel to the side of her house, down a long driveway -- so it's essentially hidden from the road unless one really scans the entire property while driving by.  When the order was finally ready, we couldn't charge the meal because her credit system wouldn't read a standard VISA with a chip or a swipe. So be sure you have Canadian currency. There's no place to sit or eat there, so we drove to the national park to eat. The tacos were tasty and a good quality. We particularly liked that the fish wasn't heavily battered. All the other food trucks we've tried across the country are good-to-go when we are, so the food is ready to be cooked or plated, and the order is ready in minutes. This cook/owner needs to rethink her priorities, especially during open hours. If she'd had all of her food ready to be ordered, we wouldn't have cared if she was moonlighting in the compost while she waited for customers.

Fantastic sort of "hole in the wall" on the island. Best to call ahead since everything - including…read morethe tortillas - are made fresh to order. We showed up and ordered at the truck, however, which worked out just fine as we waited in the car. The tacos were delicious, and the homemade Mexican chocolate ice cream was amazing. Well worth the stop during your stay on the island, especially if you want to eat something different from the typical island fare.
