As a local from the Florida Keys, the only fish I usually eat is the fish I catch myself. Restaurant seafood just never compares and often has that overly fishy taste. Mosaic completely changed my mind. I ordered the fish special of the day, locally caught haddock served battered and fried over a rice bowl with mango salsa, red onions, beans, and more. The fish was beautifully white, soft, flaky, and perfectly cooked with a clean, fresh flavor. It was honestly the best restaurant fish I have ever had. The portions were generous, the price was fair, and even though I was completely full, I just wanted to keep eating because every bite was worth it. Great place to stop on the way back from Acadia. It was quite busy, so we were lucky to get a table without a reservation for a large party. Staff was super nice! Zucchini corn fritters were super good, and fish tacos fresh and generously portioned. Churros at the end were a wonderful treat. Everything was more than just basic too. My husband and I are from Southern California and really enjoy Mexican food. Mosaic's offerings have similar' profiles but with a twist and it is always delicious! We look forward to their food both in restaurant and with takeout and we're never disappointed. The consistency is great and the service is always so good. If you're inclined towards a cocktail, DO IT- fantastic offerings! We went to Mosaic for dinner. It was 6 pm and already full. We had to wait for 1 hour and we got seat at bar. So I would recommend having reservations here in advance. Its pretty popular and for good reasons. We had 1 drink, chips and corn dip, bbq tacos with salmon and chicken enchiladas. Service was great and bar attendant made customized drink on our request. Food was great. I loved the tacos most. I wish I could have tried more and they had option of mix and match. Next time I will try fish tacos. Parking was available just outside on street. Amazing flavors, warm and welcoming staff. It's a must do place. This was my second visit within a year and both visits were perfect. Today, I absolutely inhaled the fish tacos. Despite the hour and mostly empty restaurant, we were left standing without salutation and a person checking her clipboard for table availability. Really?!? She eventually looked up and pointed to the table of four near us. No greeting. Just the finger. The delivery of food was very slow and uninteresting. The food was fine, but $25 for three small tacos? Really?!? If you must go, the pork had the most flavor. The fish had that unfortunate fishy taste. No bueno. The chips and salsa were uneventful, cold, and cost $9. Note, free at most Mexican restaurants. When we left, no acknowledgement or appreciation for overpaying for basic mex food that left me one others wanting more... more taste, more joy, and more humanity. One and done. Average food. After a hike in Camden hills, this is the place to be. I had the pleasure of dining here on Sunday night after a nice walk. It was busy when we arrived, but we managed to get seats at the bar. The restaurant is cozy and full of beautiful photos on the walls. Now to the food and drinks. Everything was extraordinary! From the appetizers to the entrees, I was impressed by the flavors and colors. My girlfriend had the enchiladas and they smelled heavenly. Cheesey, warm, and delicious. This came with a side of beans and rice that was also tasty. Both reheated well the next day as well. My salmon bowl was also exciting. The textures worked together nicely and it was more than enough food for us both. If you come here hungry, I really think you should try the cheese dip too-their chips are light and airy and pair so well with the dip. I don't think there is a single dish here you would be unpleased with. If I were to come again I would try the korean bbq here. I've done takeout from Mosaic a few times now and always loved the food. Excellent fish bowl and I loved the Korean BBQ with local tofu. I came in on a cold, snowy night and was offered a delicious mug of hot cider while they finished packing up the food. Great place, highly recommend. read more

Driving by here we saw a crowd of people waiting to get in so my husband and I were curious about the hype. We looked them up and it looked like a cool spot to try! We called them and they were able to get us in within 30 mins. When we got there, we were greeted and sat right away. Small intimate seating and every seat was taken. Our server was extremely nice and sweet! She gave recommendations and was super attentive to all guests. We ordered street corn on the cob, fish tacos, and a fish bowl. We stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and ended up being the only ones in the restaurant for our entire meal. We ordered the special which were Baja fish tacos. They were outstanding. Where things fell apart, aside from the indifferent almost rude server, was when we received our bill. Paying almost $30 for fish tacos at lunch caught us off guard, but when my husband was charged for a second glass of ice tea at $5 a glass we were horrified. He had a half full glass that he asked if he could have topped off. $10 for an ice tea was ridiculous. But the capper was when I was charged $3.40 for a mug of hot water (which was not refilled). I asked the waitress if it was correct that they were charging me for hot water and she said "yes, we have to use electricity to heat the water". Wow! $90 for lunch in an empty restaurant...shame on us! read more

The salsa was fresh and tasty. The chips had a nice hint of salt and complimented the salsa nicely. Generous portion of chips. For the main course, my wife ordered the breaded fish tacos and I had the blackened fish burrito. Excellent choices. My burrito was huge and delightful. Stuffed with plenty of fish, beans, rice, pickles, and cheese. My wife loved her tacos. Again, plenty of fish and trimmings. The service was excellent and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Camden. There is ample street parking and public lots in the area. This place is a true gem in Camden. We have stopped going to Camden because the food options are terrible. Fast forward we found this place. After a hike up the mountain and a stroll around the harbor we made our way here with two kids. We started with the chips and salsa, all of which was homemade! It was our first time at the restaurant nobody else except the staff were there. We were surprised the staff was loud and talking about their personal life our table. We thought it was very unprofessional and nobody wants to hear that when going out for dinner. The food was good. We ordered the tequila flight which are definitely not worth it for $24. They say an ounce, but it's not an ounce for three very small taste of tequila. We definitely won't be back. We were very disappointed because it was a special night for the two of us. Mosaic is a gem! My husband and I had a few days in the Camden area and found this place by chance and had the best meals of our trip (we went back a second time because it was so good!) I had the korean tacos with Tofu. Wow! What a delight. They were one of the best things I have ever eaten. We started with the corn and cheese dip because I had read about it in a review and it was also amazing. The second night I had the trio of salsas and the mango sals (as well as the others) was amazing. They make their own chips. Wow. My husband had the green enchiladas and also the carnitas tacos the night before. He raved. As for drinks - the margaritas are the perfect combo of sweet, sour and fresh tasting. I also had a Paloma - excellent! I cant say enough good things about the foos and service. The owner greeted ad sat us both nights and the servers were so friendly. This place is small. Definitely call ahead for a reservation or expect to wait. The last thing I will say is we went to a very well know farm to table restaurant in Rockland and spent 3x as much the night before and this was better by far! read more

We first went to Mosaic last summer and were blown away by the food. This year we went on Monday 10/7 and the appetizers were great. We had the corn and zucchini fritters and the fried green tomatoes. Then we got the fish tacos. Both the panko and blackened versions were so bland and lacked seasoning. Just disappointing especially when compared to last year! Food doesn't need to be too salty but the fish had no flavor! Please improve on that! read more

The food was great service was good. However, there was two checks at the end of the night and the waitress said tip was included because our party was 9. I paid with card and the other family with cash. I notice tip wasn't included and tipped. My friend didn't notice therefore didn't leave a tip. Oops. The manager called her after we left and wanted her to come back and tip or put it on my card. I found that to be out of line. I tipped plus it was just a mistake. Seemed unprofessional.
