I went to dinner with a group of 10. We loved the private area where we were seated. Those wooden doors used as a wall--loved it! Most of us ended up ordering multiple appetizers rather than a large dinner. I ordered the squash soup, the scallops and the salad. I forgot to ask if the soup would be spicy and it was, so I gave it to my friend. She loved it. The scallops were good--all three of them. I ended up putting them into my salad. I loved the salad. It was delicious. Service was attentive. The only thing was that one person in our group ordered filet mignon. It came overcooked--very overcooked. What surprised me is that the waiter did not check on the steak as soon as it arrived. It was too long before the filet was sent back to the kitchen. He ended up eating his dinner after all of us finished dinner. Totally unacceptable for a restaurant of this quality. I know that he was compensated for the issue, but it should not have happened. Prices are very high end and entrees limited. I advise checking the menu before going so that you know you are happy with the choices. read more

I must of hit them on an off day. Took a date here for brunch last weekend. We waited in a bit of a line to order, only to find out that they were out of a handful of items including burgers, pulled pork, biscuits and gravy, and muffins. This is almost a quarter of the menu. I didn't mind too much since those weren't the items we were wanting, but I believe it had caused a bit of a backup as other guests were busy rethinking their orders. Nevertheless we were able to order without much issue. This is a quick service setup where you order your food, find a table, and they bring you your meal. When we first arrived it seemed like they were struggling to turn over the tables, but the dining room did clear up quickly once we sat down. I'm guessing this might have been somewhat related to the availability of food. My date and I tried the Cinnamon Espresso Roll, the Tomato Soup, and a cocktail called Time to Sparkle. Of all the items, the soup was easily the strongest offering, though my date wanted it to be a bit warmer. It had a great texture and a robust flavor. I found the icing on the Cinnamon Roll to be a bit thin in terms of flavor and texture. The drink was a bit odd. The sweetness of the Cognac just didn't blend well with the other ingredients. We did find that stirring it made the drink more palatable, but overall it was a miss. Overall I could not say that it was an above average experience. The parfait with it was super sweet and smooth. The granola was definitely sitting on there for a while but it was still good. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly! We like coming here for brunch after church on Sundays. A few times we have asked for jam or jelly for our toast and we're told we don't have it but we sell it out front. Well forget that. We came this past Sunday and the waitress asked if we wanted jelly and I even commented, oh you have it now? A 1 ounce tiny jar of Bonne Maman came with my husband's brioche toast. Our food was good and the waitress was very nice. Then when we received our bill, we noticed we were charged two dollars for that little jar of jelly without being told there was an up charge. 1. If you're going to charge someone something, tell them ahead of time. Don't offer it like it's free. Even though it's only two dollars it's the principle. 2. And are you that hard up to charge two dollars for a tiny little jelly jar? Why don't you just buy jelly or jam in bulk and give a little bit on the side? Charging for jelly is really petty. Came out hot the second time but it was nothing to get excited about. My son ordered bacon and I like crispy bacon but you could break a tooth on that stuff. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with decaf. Coffee and food came out perfect temp. The biscuit of the sandwich was buttery but not overwhelming. The white cheddar, sausage, and egg were a great combo but the star was really the side of potatoes. Perfectly seasoned and crispy! We went to Table 33 in their new space at the Arcade for Sunday brunch and it was fabulous! We sat on the rotunda and had a beautiful view of the Arcade's architecture. We started with pomegranate mimosas which were so good! I had the crunchy salad with salmon on top and it was a big portion and very filling. Tasted like bread pudding in a french toast kind of way. I was looking forward to trying the breakfast sandwich with the house made biscuit. The menu listed the house made biscuit. The new condensed space for fast casual ordering has been working well since covid. The food is still just as amazing as always, with gluten free, vegan, and paleo options. I almost always come for breakfast or brunch because it's just so unique. The biscuits and gravy are amazing but definitely not your usual heavy greasy mush. The biscuit is light and flaky, the sausage is minced with a sweet corn gravy, but the best part is a smear of apple butter on the plate that gives just enough sweetness to make it addictingly delish. We happened to be in the area, and this local, trendy brunch spot caught our eye. After looking over the menu, my husband went with a couple of the savory breakfast options. He decided on the breakfast sandwich and a side of home fries. The home fries were a hit. He raved about them, and boldly claimed that they were the best he has ever had. I tried a couple of the ball-shaped fries for myself, and I had to agree with him. They were delicious! Each bite that I took out of these spherical fries was warm, crisp, and packed with flavor. As for my breakfast order, I didn't hesitate to go all-sweet: a side order of a cornmeal ricotta Waffle plus their Nana Chip Muffin. While I found the waffle to be so-so, I couldn't get enough of the Nana Chip Muffin. It's listed on their menu as vegan and gluten free, and it's made with organic banana and chocolate chips. I picked apart the sugary top layer before delving into its near-gooey core. I am a devoted banana bread fan, and If I could have that muffin every day for the rest of my life, I would. It wouldn't take much convincing on anyone's part. I devoured it in seconds, and later found myself searching the wrapper for any leftover pieces to savor. I was also really impressed with the ambiance and surrounding decor. While I waited for our grab n' go order, there was so much for me to take in. There were several abstract, glowing paper lanterns that added a pop of color against the chic, white, subway-tile interior. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience. Though we only had a few things, everything they had in the display case caught my attention. The kind of place where hipsters frequent with their flannel and hoodies on their heads. But the food is great. You can tell things are homemade/made to order. I would have liked to be checked on more as I would have liked to order more breakfast cocktails as well as have more water refilled as the water glasses were the size of shot glasses. Food: not bad, not amazing. I ordered a gourmet grilled cheese and it was good (bread and an assortment of cheeses, can't mess it up! However, it arrived on an extremely large plate loaded with what looked and tasted like McDonald's French fries. The sandwich with fries was $16 dollars I believe... Judging by my tables reaction to their food as well, the price of the food did not balance out the flavor/quality. Drinks were delicious! I ordered their bloody Mary and a lavender cocktail. Both were delicious. Location: Downtown Dayton. Plenty of parking garages around but entrances and exits were closed off so it made parking confusing. Street parking is a nightmare in any downtown area though. The restaurant itself is in a small corner of, what looked like, a talk office building. My wife and I were in Dayton for a random trip and wanted to go somewhere with brunch. There's not much to choose from in Dayton and the first spot we went to, we actually walked out. When we arrived here I was a bit worried by the outside but as soon as we got inside I was pleasantly surprised! The interior of the restaurant is so cute! I also love restaurants like this where you order and pay first instead of sitting around waiting for a check. The staff behind the counter were so nice! They have a pretty good menu with plenty of choices. One thing I can say is that I absolutely do NOT like French toast because it's hard to master.. but, their French toast is the BEST I have ever tasted. It's not eggy, soggy, or chewy.. it is very fluffy and cinnamon-y without being too sweet. The slices are huge but it's pillowy soft so it's not too heavy. I was jealous of my wife because I should've gotten that I got their burger which was pretty good and the fries were basic. We also shared the mimosa carafe & couldn't finish it. The staff came by to check on us throughout the meal & chat which was nice. I did notice the sheer curtains by the tables had food on them, probably from people touching it with their dirty hands but they could use a wash. Also, one of the bathrooms was out of service so everyone was waiting for just the one but I'm sure they'll fix it soon. If I were ever in Dayton again, I would definitely go here! read more

Came up from Cincinnati to enjoy a show at the Schuster Center, and stopped at Table 33 to grab dinner. Had the special: a steak sandwich (au jus & horseradish sauce) and their beet salad. We had just over an hour for our meal, and the waiter Curtis was attentive, helpful and just plain fun. It. Was. Perfect. The meal. The service. The location. Everything was smashing. The bread was soft and chewy. The steak was flavorful with just the right amount of fat. The peppers and cheese were a perfect addition. The sauces were both 100% on point, adding to every bite. It was absolutely delicious. Charming spot, great food, and a great staff. Just update the bathroom pluming to legit fixtures and you have yourself an exquisite little joint for before a show. I went in for breakfast recently after searching in the downtown area. I came across this spot after seeing yelp reviews. I am a not a big breakfast person but I saw chicken and waffles so I was excited. It's located in a office building and there is tons of meter parking. It was not super busy. I learned that the chicken was only dark meat (I only eat breast) and it wasn't breaded. I just got a waffle and potatoes and my friend did try the chicken and waffles. The waffle was good. It was a different batter than regular pancakes and went well with the syrup. The potatoes were really good and seasoned well. Only issue was the grease wasn't drained and there was a lot of grease at the bottom of the box. The staff was friendly and answered my questions. There was space to eat in and room to distance from what I could see. The food was good overall. I didn't have many options since I don't eat beef or pork but would recommend it if in Dayton. read more
