I LOVE coming here for brunch!! The food is amazing and the bottomless mimosas you can switch up the flavors. I've had the sweet potato pancakes, bacon and grits. The key lime pie was pretty good as well and friends loved the Creme Brulee. The ambiance is really well thought out. As a former server, I do feel bad for the employees I wish they could come up with a more streamlined way to make and distribute the mimosas. Definitely recommend for brunch! read more

My favorite drink is the rosé sangria, made with fresh fruit! The burgers are great and I highly recommend the home made chips (similar to cafe taverna's). Table 23 is probably my favorite brunch spot in town! With its cute southern charm, amazing menu, and $12 bottomless mimosas I had a great time! I was recently here for a friends birthday brunch and there were about 10 of us. Despite being such a big party, our server was very friendly and fast. They definitely kept the mimosas and bellinis coming! I ordered the Mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries and both were amazing. I can't wait to try more things off the brunch menu! read more

Listen, I've been many places in Tallahassee that cost way too much for the food being served. Table 23 is not one of those places. First you arrive to FREE valet parking. Once seated you'll be greeted with a smile from your server. Go during happy hour and grab a strawberry lemonade spiked then thank me. I got the 23 burger just to try a signature item and it was deliciousssss. I could always go for more fries but the burger was cooked to perfection. I added a side sauce but it wasn't truly needed. The tables and low light upstairs was my favorite part it allowed the drinks to kick my ass a little softer. read more

Service was outstanding but the food was not. The food was overpriced and did not taste good at all. We ordered deviled eggs, gumbo, BBQ wings, mac and cheese and steak with vegetables. The deviled eggs were ice cold almost as if they had been frozen. They tasted like the eggs you get from the grocery store precooked in a package. The filling was nothing to be desired. The starter bread was good. The gumbo tasted like it came out of a can. The chicken in it was artificial or reminded me of the chicken pieces in canned chicken noodle soup. There wasn't much rice with the Gumbo. No complaints there just pointing out the facts. The wings were gummy. The Mac and cheese was good but had a strong cheese blend so it might not be to everyone's liking but it was good. We also ordered the brownie as a dessert which was very good. read more

Service was fantastic, food not so much! The charcuterie board was excellent however the entrees were lackluster. I got the pork chop, which was dry and also burnt on one side. It was served with sausage fried rice that seemed much like a scramble by the kitchen to make this side available. It was rice with diced pieces of link sausage and RAW carrots. Very strange. My husband ordered the red fish, it was covered in stewed tomatoes and so much old bay it was almost inedible. We came in from out of town and as we were driving by the huge chandeliers outside caught our eyes. We decided to stop in and see what it was all about. We all order 3 specialty drinks, 3 appetizers and 3 steak entrees. All of which were delicious! The prosciutto wrapped filet was out of this world. First time here and it was a good first experience. Drinks were nice, and food was good, but I felt like I was missing something. I just can't put my finger on it. We got the fried green tomatoes, the southern slate, and the brisket tacos. Of the 3, the fried green tomatoes were the best. The underwhelming one was the brisket tacos. Only 2 tacos came and for almost $20 you'd think you'd get 3. You won't get full off it even with your side so you might want to get something else more filling. Overall good experience. After hearing about Table 23 for a while, I had been waiting with anticipation for the perfect opportunity to try it for myself. We called to make reservations and when we arrived, we were seated immediately in the outdoor area- the weather was great that night and I absolutely loved the decor and ambience. I love how the porch area is outdoors but enclosed and does have air conditioning. I also loved the huge outdoor bar. We ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer (it was average) and a few rounds of fireball. The bartender was very generous with this size of the shots, and the dirty martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives was the best I've had in Tallahassee. For dinner, I ordered the grouper with crab meat and shrimp on top, served on a bed of cream style corn. It was absolutely delicious and even though the portion was big, I ate the whole thing. The grouper tasted fresh and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the sweet corn really complimented the flavors. My boyfriend ordered the steak served with Brussels sprouts and he loved it! Table 23 is slightly expensive especially for college students, but it is worth trying at least once! read more

Food is great. I often attend to restaurants and sit at their bars... however I have seen some interesting things go down here- on a Friday evening. 1- a dirty martini- no matter the martini it was only swiped around the rim pre drink with an index finger that had just touched the dirty dishcloth that hung in the rear belt loop of a bartender(?) busboy(?) 2 - the mojito which - is concocted using a muddler for the mint leaves, was in no such way concocted using a muddler but rather the bitter tear of mint leaves into A shaker from what seemed a disgruntled bartender 3 - was that a roach or rat crawling across the outdoor deck ? 4 - why does it take two bartenders to try out a drink before it is served to the patron? 5 - I literally watched a mason jar cocktail filled with about one ounce of the mixture and topped with a scoop of ice and a splash of soda water. "Handcrafted" Drinks range from $10-12. I'm just not impressed as I have been in the past. I understand we don't always want to see what happens behind the scenes but this was basic professionalism and sanitary practice that was clearly missing. Yikes. I don't want to come here again. I can only imagine what happens in the kitchen. read more

Wrote this review four months ago and just discovered it never posted. I'm correcting that now: Decided this would be the perfect night for a Christmas dinner - or, rather, the gift of one. Used the generous gift card from a friend and client at Table 23, a locally owned purveyor of Southern food, hospitality and charm. As expected, the food was excellent - from our incredible Oysters Two-Ways appetizer to our entrees of Gulf Grouper 23 (topped with a thin shrimp and crab stuffing and sided with delectable bourbon & thyme infused skillet corn - a ramped up creamed corn that stole the show), great shrimp & grits and a Ball jar of old-fashioned banana pudding to close things out. But, what truly dazzled was the service. It was impeccable, attentive, measured, almost like watching a choreographed dance. The place was packed and parking lot jammed, but we didn't have to wait for a table and food came out shockingly fast (but never overlapped). This is how it's supposed to be done and they should hold a clinic for every other restaurant in town. Kudos to GM Christopher Aiello, server Brooke and your skilled bartender and kitchen crew for providing a memorable evening and setting a new standard against all others will be judged. read more

I really enjoy happy hour at Table 23. The atmosphere really can't be beat. I'm quite fond of their dinner menu, but brunch has been a bit hit or miss to me. There are much better brunch spots in town, but there are still plenty of reasons I won't complain about brunch here. The unlimited mimosas and the gorgeous location are great, even if I haven't found my favorite brunch item yet. I'm sure I'll be back over and over, since it's quite a popular spot and surprisingly great for groups of ~8 which is often hard to accommodate in terms of trendy brunch or happy hour joints. Even though this place gets busy and sometimes it's really a pain to get a bartender or server's attention, things are usually pretty great when they aren't completely slammed. I should also note that the one time we had a really lousy experience here (due to a comedy of errors and a really long brunch with really below-average and slow service), the management heard about it secondhand and actually reached out to us and did everything they could to make it right. That's super awesome of them and we have definitely had much better experiences since then. I really think they went out of their way to correct those issues. read more

Stopped here for lunch after just arriving in Tallahassee and had no complaints at all. Food came out quickly, staff was friendly and I especially loved the restaurant decor. I ordered the grilled Salmon with a side of Smoked Gouda Cheese Grits. So good! The grits, imo, were the perfect consistency, not too runny or thick and the Salmon was light and perfectly seasoned. I would definitely stop back in next time im in the area to try other things on the menu. read more

Took my wife to dinner this past Saturday night for a combination anniversary/Valentine's Day dinner. We originally planned on Kool Beanz but the dining room just had filled up and the wait would've been about an hour and a half...wish I would have been more patient. On a positive note, Table 23 sat us immediately on a very busy night. It looked like they opened up a room upstairs that they usually don't use because our server told us that they just rented the tables (which were wobbly and a bit too high for their chairs). All that was on the tables were a simple black tablecloth. No flower, condiments or anything else. Just a poor presentation to begin the evening. They had an optional priced fixed menu for Valentines Day or you could order from the full menu. The strange thing was that the fixed menu was $99 for two and included an appetizer to share, small salad and one of about five or six entree selections, but when I did the math even including the most expensive options...you actually were getting overcharged. I found this pretty insulting. Our first server was friendly but was clearly rushing the ordering process. My wife and I both ordered off the regular menu. I went with the their version of a wedge salad and the rainbow trout for my entree. Before I could even finish half of my salad, here come our entrees. Our server clearly noticed this but gave me my main dish anyway with no apologies or offering to let me finish my salad first. I think she knew I was a bit annoyed because this was the last time we saw or heard from her before she passed us off to another server. My trout was good but nothing special. The squash and zucchini side was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were fine (but it's pretty hard to screw those up). We were rushed for the remainder of our dinner and left wishing that we would've waited to eat at Kool Beanz. We won't be coming back. read more

I went into T23 with some not-great word of mouth in my mind. I was pleasantly surprised with everything and I can see where this place will become a staple in midtown. The inside is deceptively large & even with a full house, it wasn't too loud. It's got a great feel & could easily be a brunch spot or a great date location! Midtown isn't the easiest to park in, so be prepared to hunt a little bit for a spot/walk a bit to T23. We all ordered burgers & were pretty happy with our choices. Our server was kind and quick, our cocktails tasty & our side seasonal veggies were really, really good. My favorite place in Tallahassee is Table 23! What a clever menu! What a special atmosphere! What wonderful wait staff! We had an amazing evening at Table 23. The sharing plates were superb . The fried oysters and pickles were fantastic. The dipping sauce was spectacular and the homemade potato chips with Gorgonzola dressing and balsamic with bacons pieces and green onions were spot on. The pecan crusted fried okra was awesome. I have never had okra sliced vertically in half. The drinks were great and the Reuben was unbelievable with pickled collard greens and Swiss cheese. Delicious- wonderful atmosphere. We're here to visit the capital and on our way into our Airbnb we spotted Table 23. We had the New York which was lovely and the Trout blackened which was delicious. Beet salad was yummy as well. We did get the Ribeye however it wasn't as good as the New York in terms of marinade, however it was still good quality. The desserts were amazing and large . Had the Banana pudding and bread pudding! It's a solid 5 stars from our crew! read more

Fast food adjusts their menu to exact a consistency that requires large scale suppliers to add parts and science to supervise other parts and factory mixing; and production; and mass distribution. Frankly, it is FAST FOOD IS NOT REAL FOOD AT ALL. Luckily, TABLE 23 IS REAL FOOD. Very real food from experts. Their kitchen deserves accolades for choosing perfect tomato's, perfect leaf lettuce. Yes, basic ingredients. There is someone (or many) with OCD involved in production! Good onya, staff and all! Good onya! And this; their half price Happy Hour that segways into dining is genius. We bar hopped over, made the mad dash from the grande porch bar into the interior dining table. On this last of MANY visits. We had 8 diners, today, at our table; veterans and newbies. All were pleased with our apt servers and all were pleased with the kitchen! Happy! Happy! (Ok, redundant, but factual) Appetizers, ok, please hear me out. One of my favorite foods of all time, ever, are boiled peanuts. Table 23 has found the magic nexus between salty, flavorful al-dente without mushy boiled peanuts. You either know or are naive to this Southern wonder! Get them. And if you are lo-country ENUF....get them Cajun! I was in dining nirvana with my Southern salad with steak and missed all the individual nuances about each fellow diners entre'. Grouper bites, perfect burgers, wedge salad and the like... BUT, I will remark how everyone was chatting about their food. Smiles, laughs, the exchange of giggles and shared satisfaction. We stayed late into the night in joy. I am never disappointed with Table 23! They are always my go to restaurant whenever people ask for recommendations. Great brunch? Absolutely. Quiet dinner? For sure. Nice drinks? Some of the best! The spinach dip is probably my favorite in town and I have a very hard time not ordering it every time I go. Make sure to ask for the bread because it is divine and the pickled cherries they use in some of the drinks are delicious! At this point I have tried almost everything on the menu and I have never had a bad experience. During spring and fall I like to sit outside because it is actually enjoyable and I really like the atmosphere on the patio. There have been a few times where it has been super busy and I have sat at the bar and the service was still fantastic. This is one of my favorite restaurants in town and I will continue to recommend them for every special event or date night! read more

I had the best service I've ever had in tallhassee here. My server's name was Steve(black guy with dreads) and he was so attentive and just gave great service. I got the southern Rueben and it was a little dry so I asked for extra sauce and I'm glad I did. The sauce and the sandwich together is a great combo. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
