Let me start off by saying the receptionists and nurses are very nice and friendly. They're the main reason for the extra star. My experience wasn't great. Dr. Taback was nice enough at first and seemed to be on the ball at my first appointment but it gradually declined from there. He prescribed a medication for me that I turned out to be allergic too, I called the office to find out what to do but ended up having to leave a message for the doctor. The doctor never called or answered my message, and the receptionist would keep telling me that he'd call. I stopped taking this med on my own because the allergy was getting worse with each dose, I did not hear from this doctor and when I came in for my next appointment I saw him for barely 5 minutes and he never brought it up until I asked him about it. He had not even read his messages until I said something and he showed absolutely no concern or remorse. After a few more visits similar to this one, he tried to prescribe the same medication I was allergic too, and when I mentioned to him that we had tried it and I was very allergic to it, he seemed a little annoyed. This was not the first time he completely ignored my history as he had prescribed another medication that had a combined medication in it that made my asthma worse in the past(and was a medication he prescribed) and he failed to catch that issue or even acknowledge that he should have known that. After bringing up that these medications don't work for me he said in a slightly exasperated tone that "I'm too sensitive to medications" and told me I'm going to need to see someone else. This was only the 3rd medication he tried and he completely gave up. He will not stick around if things get slightly hard for him and he'll try to pawn you off on other doctors or institutes. Let me be very clear, this doctor is going to harm someone if he continues down this path, he does not care about you and you don't exist when you aren't in front of him. You barely exist even when you're in the office. While he isn't necessarily mean, he shows little interest, he barely spends any time with you, he doesn't ask questions and shows little concern for you. He is in and out of your appointment. He is going to do harm or kill someone if the patient isn't paying attention to the medications he's prescribing. I understand the pandemic has made this difficult for doctors but if you cannot handle the patient load, do not take appointments. Stay vigilant with this one. read more
