I had a decent experience with Dr. Ossia and the office staff, who gave me an opportunity to shadow him in his office at Burbank.

At first I was happy with him but in the last 4 years he became a horrible doctor. He's happy to…read moregive you an Rx so you go away but doesn't care to look into anything deeper with tests. He refused MRI testing on me for a new problem that he mansplained was an old injury. In recent years he looked tired and sometimes like he just woke up. He's very robotic and pretends to care but really doesn't. He thinks that reading the computer screen is taking time to explain to you. He's dismissive. If you push him for care (testing) the curated nice tone of voice and nice guy mask drops and he has no problem asserting his MD power over you to make you feel small and disarm you to feel powerless. Anyone that gives him a good review must not have chronic illness and goes for routine annual exams or a flu. You can tell he is just an MD employee for Facey. Caring more for protocols and quotas than individual plan of care. Facey the medical group is priority over the patient care. Office staff was fair. Witnessed them a few times talking negatively about patients.

Looking for a doctor who dismisses your pain as no big deal and you end up in ER with emergency hernia surgery? Or better yet, a doctor who tells you pain medication for acute pancreatitis "will only make your pain worse," when WebMd, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland clinic, Harvard and NIH say the first thing to do is manage the pain, then fast or eat a limited diet? He's definitely your man. But, if you're looking for a doctor to be a human being, not a sadist, not a robot, but someone who listens and cares? Go find anyone else with a pulse.

I paid for my lab test at the clinic and later got a bill from the lab saying the invoice was never paid (meaning the clinic never paid them, even though I paid the clinic). I called and they said they were taking care of it. They asked me to send them my payment record because they didn't have a way of pulling it up themselves, which is wild. Months later I received another letter from the lab saying the bill still had not been settled and they were sending the payment to collections which would affect my credit score. They also sent me the incorrect imaging form multiple times. I needed an ultrasound and they sent me one for a mammogram. I flagged it and they sent me a new one but it still said mammogram. The info for what kind of imaging I needed came from them, so I really don't understand how they kept on getting that wrong. Just really poor attention to detail. It took multiple emails and calls just to get the right order. They also email you but don't check for your replies. I've had to call to follow up on emails. They also gave me the results to my imaging three different times. It was the same result, but somehow they hadn't recorded that they already gave them to me, so every several weeks they would call me to give me the same result. All of these issues stemmed from one visit if you can believe that.
