Convenient parking here. The weekday or Saturday night we come here there's always table space and clientele are in and out. Service is really cool. The barista smiles and communicates with other staff members about specific drink requests, such as making a usually cold drink hot. Fortunately that drink worked out better than expected. The menu really has something for everyone. Decaf teas are limited. Ginger teas are hot and sweeter, can add milk or not. Iced honey aloe tea was enjoyed. Nice place to come to in millbrae. One of the few good drink places to come to instead of quicklys or eggettes. This place is very nice on the inside and is modern (mainly due to being opened more recently than other places in millbrae). When I come here, the service is always extremely quick and you will be in and out in minutes or you can stay and play some board games or read the books they have there. I usually order the elegant rose aloe which is very sweet and has aloe pieces inside the drink with actual rose buds floating around. It's just so nice to look at I just don't want to drink it sometimes lol. Other than that, they have other drinks but the aloe drinks is my all time favorite. I'm currently not drinking caffeine so I was disappointed when I found out T4 doesn't offer any decaffeinated drinks.

I'm so disappointed, I might be wrong but as a milk tea barista for years and someone who can't live without milk tea: the drinks taste like overnight drinks, it does not taste fresh and it is very powdery. The milk tea was also not even filled up and they gave me a room temperature drink while I requested normal ice. Popcorn chicken taste weird and not fresh as well, the flavoring was way off. My throat started hurting after 3 pieces and I had to throw everything. Last but not least: The whole order packaging was a big issue: food lid not closed, bag loosely tied, utensils poking out of the thin plastic bag. Will not come back again. read more

Standard boba tea place. Reminds me of Tapioca Express here in SD. Prices are reasonable and they have a good menu of teas which you can customize the sugar and ice levels. Four words: RED BEAN MILK TEA. The tea flavor was strong and the drink wasn't watered down like most boba places. The red bean milk tea was basic (milk tea with red beans added), but it was really satisfying and tasted delicious. The only reason I take a star out is because it is a little on the pricier side. The regular size was $3.80 after tax, and at other boba shops you can get a bigger sized cup for $4. read more

T-4 has been my go-to spot for bubble tea in mid-town. I've gone here so many times with various friends and it's a great place to have a nice conversation (though it can get pretty loud), or play board games (such as Uno, Connect Four, Jenga, etc.) that they provide to their customers. Another plus about this place is the many varieties of flavors that this place has. There's always so much to choose from! My favorite thing about this place is the Buy 10 bubble teas, get 1 free (not an entire one though, but about $3.50 off your next drink). My favorite part about this place is that you can adjust the sugar and ice levels in basically all of the drinks and most of the workers are very knowledgeable about how the drink tastes with less sugar, etc. They also have a great variety of toppings in addition to the normal boba. My only complaint about this place is the lack of parking around the neighborhood. I usually have to do street parking because the space in front of their store only has like 3 parking spots and I usually don't risk going there first and having to go around and find other parking spots. read more

I do not like this location at all. I got the Kumquat lemon drink along with the fried flour bun with condense milk. The kumquat lemon drink was a little too sweet even though i said less sweet. The Fried flour bun with condense milk was served hot, which was good, but they didn't give us much condense milk so it felt like eating just bread. What's another reason i didn't like this place? Hit or miss. Not consistent how they make their drink. Got the taro drink and they put waaay to much tarp powder (or whatever taro base they use). I Checked the pictures from people who posted their drinks of taro and it was a much lighter color. I know this is now how T4 makes their taro drinks as I got this before. T4 is a new boba place that just recently opened up in Millbrae (huzzah cos they needed boba in Millbrae!). It's located on a busy street in Millbrae so parking might be a bit of a pain especially if you come here during the weekends. Parking on the street is limited to 2 hours and there's a parking lot behind, too. The inside of this place is pretty spacious with about six 4-seater tables and a wooden table as well. The menu is a bit extensive with them offering many drink flavors in many different ways as well as a snacks menu. And they have games for kids to play while they wait as well. I usually opt for the earl grey milk tea with boba and their popcorn chicken. Not quite sure what happened. Their popcorn chicken usually comes with basil that makes it taste yummy, but today it just tasted salty. The drink had no problems, though. Service usually depends on who you get I guess? I've had service sometimes where the lady will be super optimistic and ask me questions and then times where the cashier will seem bored and tired which in turn makes me feel bad for ordering from them. Overall, the place is decent and I would choose it over Quickly's any day. Pick up a stamp card, too, or use five stars to earn points. 10 points = free drink. read more

I wasn't too impressed but the boba was good enough to satisfy an after dinner treat. Parking in the back (circled a few times and found a spot) it's free! I ordered the milk tea with pearl and coffee jelly (jelly wasn't that soft and a little hard 2/5), taro smoothie (3/5), and pineapple royal tea (4/5). We tried different types since it was happy hour. The egg puff was so disappointing ($4.95) I watched them make it and the guy couldn't lift it up from any side cause it was stuck so when he finally got something off they basically fell apart. Most of them were hollow and really crispy while others that did form like a puff had the middle of the egg puffs raw and doughy. There's so many boba places to try around this area, I'd say this place would be fine for the drinks but probably not the egg puff (they also don't have the matcha kind). When I told the cashier that I wanted a hot drink she proceeded to criticize me for ordering incorrectly. Not once but three times. To make matters worse, I took the cold drink and it tasted like brown water, totally undrinkable, it went straight into the trash. T4 has been in Millbrae for some time. Someone told me their pepper/salt chicken is good. Here I was, the second time visit. Ordered the chicken. It looks good, tasted tender, but some pieces tasted greasy (maybe some chicken fat were not removed?). I felt like drinking some sweet cold drinks (maybe there was MSG in it?). I also tasted Royal Tea which is a lighter kind of green tea per store owner. It tasted very very bitter and no tea aroma. Actually, there was no aroma of any kind of tea when you walk in. I wish I can smell tea when I walk in a tea shop..... After 2 years, I revisited T4 again. Once you enter the front door, you could not help to noticed that all their white chairs and tables are very dirty. I was not sure if I wanted to get anything. I love this place. I'll add another star to my update because they're so awesome here. The drinks and service are fairly consistent, and it is well worth the slightly higher cost than the other boba shops around. The workers have always been courteous and/or friendly even with a high turnover, or maybe I have bad memory. My favorite is the roasted oolong milk tea with 50% sweetness and fig jelly or grass jelly. So very good. The basil popcorn chicken is also pretty good, but it is breaded like KFC chicken. They don't have those free comic books anymore, but I could never read them anyways. My friends and I were indecisive, as always, to pick out a dessert spot last night, but some how ended up here, and it wasn't bad. Since it was cold we all got the hot Taro Milk Tea(which doesn't have caffeine, if you want a drink that will still let you sleep at night) and shared some savory snacks: basil popcorn chicken, fried tofu, and a savory crepe(that I can't remember the name of at the moment), which were all basic, but good. The service was alright, the only reason I gave this 4 stars was because I placed an order for the fried flour buns with our initial order and wasn't notified until the rest of our order was already completed, so we had to wait again for the alternative dish. Came here a little bit before 10:30pm on a Saturday night. Wanted to order the popcorn chicken but the cashier said they weren't taking anymore orders for food. Ok, I was fine with it until a group of the workers friends came in at 10:55pm (5 minutes before closing) gets to order food! I was shocked and in disbelief. On top of that, we waited over 15 minutes just to get our drinks. The store was trashed and these 2-3 guys working there was extremely unprofessional. Throwing a fit with attitude while throwing and banging on the kitchen ware, all because more customers were coming in around closing time and he probably didn't like that. If T4 wants to stay in business, they should hire people more mature to run the store. I'm sure they were all high-schoolers considering their lack of professionalism. read more

Was in the mood for a sweet drink and I just happened to be in area. I knew I wanted some milk tea so I decided to check out my bookmarks and see if there was a place in the area. Luckily, I was able to find T4 and that was a good decision. I was able to find parking right around the corner from T4 which was great! When you walk in you immediately identify the menu on the wall to the right. The menu layout does remind me of Quickly just a bit but the menu here seems more eye catching and cleaner. The drinks are similar but the flat screens around the counter present the drinks in a manner that makes the drinks here more desirable, I LOVE THAT. I wound up getting a chocolate milk tea and my personal favorite, Thai Milk Tea. There is plenty of seating as well. I'm not sure about Wifi. If you are looking to study here I would say this place could work for you but beware that most of the parking in the area is 2 hours! As for the drinks, the Thai Milk Tea was good as was the boba. There was a balance in sweetness and that made for a good tasting milk tea. This place has a whole lot more to offer than just milk tea but in just assessing my drinks, they hit the mark. I'll have to come back soon and try some of their food and update my review. Overall, a good experience that ended with a satisfied me and you CAN'T BEAT THAT! So, I got two words for you. This place has your standard milk teas and then some. Unfortunately pretty much everything has tons of sugar in it. They don't offer natural sweeteners and if you tell them not so sweet on your tea they just pour in less of the syrup used to make your tea - not ideal if you're on the keto diet. I didn't realize there was still sweetener in my tea until I had a few sips and noticed it was too sweet to be diet appropriate. I asked the girl to show me the nutrition label for the syrup used in my guava green tea. Yikes! It was shocking how much sugar/carbs was in the drink! I had to drink half of it that day and half the next day so as not to spoke my macro levels. Nastiest boba place ever. I order matcha with real milk and it taste like syrup with milk. You couldn't even taste the matcha. At first I didn't want to complain.
