From milk teas, fruity concoctions, specialTEAS, and delish fried snacks, T4 has it all. I also appreciate that they have the hot drink option. I've tried their Hot Pearl Milk Tea and it's on FLEEK! The ratio mixture of milk to black tea was perfectly blended. I tried hot milk tea at other places nearby and was sorely disappointed. So making hot milk tea is pretty hard because it can taste like watered-down milk #nightmareofmylife Their boba texture is always chewy and consistently pleasant. It doesn't seem honey'd to me but their drinks are sweet enough regardless. You can fasho customize your drink - sweetness and ice. My bf tried their Thai tea and noted that it tasted artificial, like crazy superficial like Regina George. I am inclined to agree after tasting it, pass on the Thai. I'm a huge boba drinker. I have tried boba from all over the bay. T4 is a pretty good chain. This is the closest T4 to me. Their drinks have heavy tea flavor, which is just the way I like it. My favorite is their roasted oolong milktea. It has good tea flavor. I also like their rose milk tea as well. With their snacks, their basil popcorn chicken is one of the best! The chicken is not too dry and at the same time, smells super good a mile away. If you get a 5 stars card, they will periodically send you a buy one get one free. That's an awesome deal! They also have happy hours between 5:30- 7:30pm, where the drinks and snacks are cheapers. Parking is not too bad on the weekdays. However, Friday nights and the weekend, you might have to find a place further away. I can't say that service are that great because they got bunch high school and college students working. There was one time I went, there was one high school looking girl standing behind the counter on her phone. When my cashier asked her a question, she was like "I don't fucking know", and she went back looking at her phone. The hot trend... pun intended... is tea places these days and there certainly is no shortage in thriving Chinese communities throughout Northern California. After a lunch on Broadway Avenue, I made a stop here as the line and buzz piqued my interest. After ordering, the line grew beyond the entrance. Not knowing where to stand, I slid towards the back of the store and watched their assembly line. After maneuvering around the line there, I patiently watched the staff scramble and diligently fill orders. Here's why it's only four stars. After all of this maneuvering, I stood at the pickup area and suddenly no one started calling on numbers. After a few drinks started to fill the counter, someone randomly started reading the numbers out again; it wasn't until they passed my number that I walked to the counter to inspect the remaining drinks, finding mine. The drink was cool and refreshing, perfect as a liquid dessert after a filling meal; hard to believe that it was 30% sweetness as I still thought it was on the sweet side. The fig jelly was interesting and the passionfruit flavors shined. My friends were more interested in the dessert place across the street so I ran solo here. Advice to management: You might want to revamp or reorganize your assembly line to make it more efficient. This will probably bump up your ratings and bring you even more customers. It was very busy. Only 1 cashier. Only 1 person making drinks. The guy making drinks was working incredibly slow. When they washed out pitchers, cups, and any other things, they just rinsed them. No soap, no scrub. Some of the clear pitchers have black stuff along the walls and the bottom. Could just be stains from the tea, but at least try to scrub it or use soap. I was there waiting for my drink for about 20 minutes and saw them wash about 10-15 items this way. Also, none of the staff were friendly at all. 2 stars because the tea was decent. read more

Whoever said "let's make our theme the Tiffany blue color", is a frikkin genius. This place has got the whole aesthetic thing down. I mean c'mon, Tiffany blue makes a girl weak in the knees. So the inside of T4 looks like something out of pinterest, but how does the boba stack up compared to the competition? Average. They do however offer an extensive menu that will satisfy whatever you're in the mood for. We tried their eggpuffs, which were ok. Slightly undercooked and gooey, but I oddly prefer it like that. The vibes are cute but yeah the service could be improved. I laughed when I saw all the other reviews about the girl on her phone. She really is glued to her phone until the moment you step up to the counter. I think that's the only time she gets off her phone. I mean I'm not one to talk but I feel like if you're in customer service you should atleast pretend to give the customers your awareness and attention. I came yesterday and it took forever for them to make my drink, but I think the wait was worth it. The elegant rose aloe was so delicious! No. No. NOOOOO. Why does this place have decent reviews??? I heard good things about this place and came by because my favorite boba place, Tiger Tea, was closed for the night. Got the earl grey milk tea with boba, less sweet, less ice. I couldn't finish even HALF of it. It was still overly sweet, you can taste whatever syrup or powder or whatever weird sugar they put in it, bad aftertaste, and the BOBA WAS SOGGY. It was like chewing on slimey, melty yuckiness. I don't think I'd ever spend money on giving this place another try. Especially since better boba places are so close by. My taro milk tea was a little watered down but the Thai milk tea had a good amount of sweetness and flavor. Nice and clean decor inside. One of the guys working was nice enough to remake my drink after I asked him to take out the boba out of the drink he had already made me. I am not much of a boba person, however I must say T4 has changed my mind. It's a pretty regular and typical selection just like all boba places. However, I swear they have the best grass jelly boba tea I have ever tasted. I have no idea what it is, but the grass jelly is nice and chewy and just the right amount of sweetness. Grass jelly gone wild, I was mind blown :O I also tried their lobster balls and fried chicken. Lobster balls is a no go, basically something you buy from 99 ranch in the frozen section. Fried chicken was pretty decent, I still prefer Quickly's fried chicken. I wish they had more basil in the chicken, they literally only had 2 pieces of basil...maybe basil is expensive these days... They also have a selection of games such as uno, cards, battleships, so it's a good place to hang out with friends. Really great spot in downtown Millbrae with a lot a bubble tea options but also other drinks and snacks. It's a little ways down the street, but worth the walk as it's way better than a lot of other bubble tea places in that there's a lot of seating and they have fun games like (connect 4) for you to sit around and play if you have time. Hard to find parking here! Sometimes have to park away but always nice to have a T4 on this side of the bay for the times when I'm over here so I'm not stuck drinking Quickly or itea or something. One of the nicer looking T4's and plenty of games. Third time here, and I was disappointed. Staff wasn't overall too friendly. Drinks were badly made. I decided to try something new today and tried their watermelon slush with boba (since I usually don't see it other T4's in my area (probably because it's seasonal so it's not on the menu). Anyway, the drink was super watery even though I asked for standard sweetness and tasted a bit off, plus I feel that I just tasted the sweetness from the boba. I ended up throwing it away and buying another drink, I bought my usual Jasmine green tea and it tasted way too sweet and had a weird aftertaste to it unlike other T4's I have been to. So much for cutting milk tea out of my life. T4 hooked me back in and it's getting bad. I'm usually in Millbrae regularly to grab something to eat and to go grocery shopping, and now I find myself regularly pulling up to this place to get my roasted oolong tea with creme. This place is getting pretty popular. I came by one Saturday, and the line was never ending. Unfortunately, that meant it took about 15 minutes to get my drink, but at least there's a lot of entertaining things to do there. The TV is always on and board games a plenty are on the side. Other drinks the family enjoys are the jasmine milk tea, mango smoothy and chocolate smoothie. I tried their watermelon slushy too which was pretty good. Boba is soft and chewy and their pudding is ok. The tea flavor is pretty good and consistent. There's a lot of snacks they offer, but I have yet to try any of them. The only thing is that this place is pretty loud and just typing that makes me feel pretty old. Whateves...I can handle it to get my tea drink on. Haha I've been to the T4 in San Leandro and Dublin alone with this one and I've noticed they only get subpar reviews. Maybe I'm missing something because for me I find T4 to have really consistent flavors. The worst lychee milk tea Boba drink i ever had. First one was water down. She was nice enough to remake it. 2nd one was packed with artificial flavor & too sweet which syrup just stuck to my tongue. By the time I got it, the "smoothie" was an ice layer, liquid layer and , mushie boba that didn't even fill up to the top. It was only 3/4 of the way full. Been a guest four times and each time had something incorrect or shoddily prepared so I definitely gave them a fair chance across the menu. Their portion sizes vary dramatically and there is little consistency with the quality of orders. This last time, the the tea order was not correct, the sweetener was not added making the Thai tea taste almost like plain milk, not worth it. The popcorn chicken, while tender was fried in the same oil as their calamari strips so the popcorn chicken tasted like spicy oily calamari, not enough cleaning out of the fryer and its oil. I also stopped ordering their fries with a tea because they were underdone every. single. time. Nice little tea shop for bubble tea in Mr. Piano's neck of the woods :) It's a little loud inside, and has been really crowded both times I've been here, so I wouldn't stick around, but this is a great place to grab a boba to go! Also, they take FiveStars :D I originally wanted a perilla plum green tea, but the guy at the register claimed they no longer have it here D: So sad, as I love perilla/shiso; perhaps I'll be able to find it at another time or another location. I settled on passionfruit green with fig jelly (appears to be the same as aiyu jelly or date jelly at other boba places) and pearls, and Mr. Piano got the avocado smoothie. On my next visit, I had liked my taste of Mr. Piano's avocado smoothie so much that I got one myself :) I didn't think I would like it (sweet avocado???), but it's not that sweet and it somehow works :P As I mentioned, the place tends to be crowded, and I don't think the staff gets much of a chance to get out and clear the tables much, so it could have stood to be a little cleaner (but you can't totally blame them with a line that goes to the door). I like the bright aqua color that seems to be the brand color, and they have random Chinese comics and whatnot by the entrance for people in the store to read, presumably. The staff seems friendly, if a little harried/overbusy every time I'm there, so I think they're doing a good job. Great to-go boba place, with what looks like a good variety of flavors. Lovely place for tea and snacks. They have a large selection of ice tea and boba. The flavors are very good and pearls are soft. They are conveniently located on the main street with plenty of parking available nearby. The ambience is nice and bright with good seating arrangement and a kids play area.
