12) Banana Nutella (GF)
Ciege A.

If you have time and are willing to wait about 20ish minutes after you order to receive your food, this place is worth a visit. The spicy crab crepe was unique for a crepe so good! The banana with Nutella crepe was good as well. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. If they could figure out how to execute orders quicker this place could be a 5-star.

We had the mango raspberry and the matcha azuki bean crepes. Both of them were so good! I went on a weekday morning, so it wasn't too busy. This was my first time here, and I'll definitely keep coming back for crepes.

13 Strawberry Nutella Sweet Crepe

Overall a wonderful experience and crepe!! When I think of Crepes this is the main idea usually! Nutella, Fruits, decadent but not overly too much, well balanced with sweetness. The service was great! The lady who worked behind the counter and I believe helped assemble the crepes, was super helpful with confiriming my choice (my crepe was stated "coming soon" on the menu - which she said will be updated) as well as providing a paper menu! She also delivered the crepes to my table outside and was just really nice! Big smiles! [Food] I got the Lychee Blossom Sweet Crepe! It was decadent but delicate - which was absolutely amazing!! It had real pieces of lychee, which I was pleasantly surprised as I thought it would just be incorporating the juice in the creme somehow. The cream was delicate yet flavorful with rose. Absolutely Romantic and delicately delicious! My friend got a classic - strawberry and Nutella! Which is self explanatory in terms of deliciousness. Crepes were the proper expected texture and taste, such as not overally or specifically sweet and crisp on the sides but still thin with some moisture. T swirl Crepes also offer a decent selection of savory crepes! Some even spicy - I looking forward to trying them out next visit! [Price] both crepes in total was about $18-19. They also offer mini size for the sweet crepes!! This is definitely going to be my go to spot!! I've been waiting for an Asian crepe shop open up in Eugene!

Now this was a treat!!! The place is very clean and they do take awhile to make the crepes but once you get them it's clear how much effort is put into them and I would not want them to go any faster and risk rushing the process. The crepe is delightful and I had the matcha chocolate. The little chocolates are so delicious and sweet, and the matcha cream is perfect sweet but not too sweet. The chocolate nut party has pistachio too which is trending right now and delicious to try here. I will be back!

27) Thai Chicken

When I felt appetite, can't say no to any crapes. I picked Thai chicken with "wasabi sauce" which is pretty unique flavor. I think that Thai food uses many fish sauce but not good combination with crape, so wasabi is better blend. I thought that crape took long time to serve, but this was pretty quick. There was nobody before us, so we were in the fast line. Lucky! I stopped here the first time today, but felt familiar atmosphere. And I found out I was in the same store in New York long time ago. Same display in east coast and west coast. I wanna try the sweet crapes next time~

Clean inside and cute pop music playing. The service was friendly enough. We got the NY cheesecake crepe and it was perfectly cooked - and right amount of ingredients!! Tasty. We will be back

Strawberry banana crêpe without Nutella! Nutella was supposed to be on it and it was paid for!

I would give T swirl crêpes 1 star out of 10 for customer service! As for today the food, 1 star out of 10 !! I could see in the near future that T Swirl crêpe will not last long in the Oakway mall, Eugene. T swirl crêpes are the only place where you can buy gluten-free crêpes. Unfortunately, the last two times that I have gone to get my crêpes, I had to wait an hour before mine was even completed. I was told on the phone that they were ready. Today I am nauseous because The water in the tofu was not even rung out and they did not even bother searing the tofu. And now I'm nauseous as can be. My assistant did not even get her Nutella on her banana strawberry crêpe that she paid for! So disappointing!!

Ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. Only a couple of other people in there at that time. After waiting 30 minutes we finally got our food. The group we were with all had their food (sushi, Johnny Oceans) long before us. Asked if or wait time was typical and one the guys making the crepes said yes, while the owner said it normally takes 10 minutes. I said it's been 30 and he didn't say anything. Needless to say we won't be back.

Mini Strawberry Banana Crepe

The philly crepe was delicious, Savory and flavorful! The strawberry Banana was sweet but wasn't overly sweet. The food was amazing and staff is super friendly. I also love that you can order ahead. Great prices as well!

17) Chocolate Crepe Brulee

This place is amazing! As someone who is gluten free this place is easy to eat at. They can make almost all of their crepes gluten free. Their drinks are also really good! They have both savory and sweet crepes. Can't recommend them enough!

strawberry banana crepe without nutella i paid for

I placed an online order I placed at the T-Swirl at 112 Oakway Center Eugene, Or 97401 around 12:30pm. I was informed that my order would be ready before 1:00pm I showed up to the place at about 1:12pm, giving them ample time to complete the order. When I arrived I was told it'll take an additional five minutes, and then I witnessed him START making my order after I got there even though the website said my order was complete. Not only that, the employee working was incredibly flippant and slow with his work, he also had airpods in the entire time. I didn't recieve my order until 1:35pm, 23 minutes after I got there. I spoke to the owner about this issue and his excuse for the wait was their lack of tofu, however there were crepes with no tofu that could've been completed before I arrived, and the tofu crepes could have at least been started. I asked for nutella on one of my crepes and didn't receive it despite paying for it. Finally the tofu on my crepes wasn't cooked properly and overly wet. Look, to be frank I really like this place and the crepes are delicious. But the lazy employees and lack of respect is unacceptable.

Definitely better than expected, we walked in and it didn't seem like any tables were available, but there was seating near the back. Service was quick, after placing our order, the food was brought pretty fast. We ordered sushi, katsu curry, poke bowl & gyudon. Everything was delicious, I enjoyed the flavor of my gyudon and the katsu curry was tasty too. My only complaint was the poke bowl--it seemed deceptively big, but the bowl was mostly filler, with rice and greens and some tuna poke on top. Nonetheless our meal was filling, but I'm not sure if I would order the poke bowl again. Overall, our dining experience was good--I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Definitely order the grilled shishito peppers. They were excellent as was the takoyaki! The chicken karaage was also very tasty. I loved their take on a jalapeño popper. The Angry Mom was particularly good we thought! I highly recommend this place. Please go here if you haven't been!

Ordered the Ikura onigiri and the Japanese Sweet Potato and the Agadashi Tofu. (I asked for miso butter on the side for me because I have found it overwhelms the potato which is seasoned really wonderfully). The Ikura Onirigi was simple and excellent. My favorite wishes that they would create an regular Onirigi Happy Hour where they are on discount so that those of us who just want to have half a dozen of those and a few drinks can come in and experience our heart's delight. My drink of choice here is the Painkiller -- which is really well balanced and so delicious it's hard not to have a second. Wednesdays are when they have two dollars off the ginger-based drinks and I didn't try it this time but I am keen to the next time because they appear to crush the ginger in house and make their own ginger concoction magic. The bar was thankfully not crowded. As an introvert it was nice to be finishing up and heading out just as more people were coming in.

The place was packed, but thankfully we were seated quite quickly with a 5-10 minute wait. The interior is cozy and welcoming. It's dimly lit with mood lighting on the tables. It felt lively since the tables were packed. We started by ordering the sake and shoyu flights and some fries with wasabi mayo while we explored the rest of their menu. We received the flights quickly. Both flights had 3 flavors and were tasty and fun to try. Each flight comes with a menu describing the flavor profile and how the drinks were made. The flavors of each flight were distinct and matched their descriptions. The fries with wasabi mayo were pretty basic fries. They were well seasoned, had a nice crunch, and the mayo had a subtle wasabi flavor without it being spicy. For our next round we ordered the salmon misoyaki, butternut squash, tofu kushiyaki, and steak kushiyaki. Unfortunately, our server forgot to bring our butternut squash, but we ended up being full with the rest of the food we ordered and just took it off our order. The salmon misoyaki was delicious - perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned. The mustard greens on the side added a nice sourness. The tofu kushiyaki was tender and flavorful. The steak kushiyaki was well-seasoned, but more well done than I preferred and a little tough. Next, we ordered the spinach goma ae and umeboshi unigiri. The spinach goma ae was such a pleasant surprise! It's a chilled spinach dish with a tamari/black sesame sauce that was refreshing mid-meal. Really good umami flavor! The umeboshi onigiri had the expected sharp salty/sour flavor that balanced well with the ratio of rice. Ended up dipping the umeboshi onigiri in the goma ae sauce to get every last drop. For dessert we ordered the basque cheesecake and créme brûlée. The cheesecake was just okay. The menu said there was sake and black sesame flavors, but apart from some black sesame dust on the plate we couldn't taste the sake/sesame. The texture was thick and not super smooth. It was a pretty heavy dessert and not very sweet. The créme brûlée was yummy. The custard was smooth and the crunchy caramelized sugar on top was a nice contrast in texture and flavor. The service itself was slow. We were waiting around 15 minutes between orders. Given, it was a busy night. However, we felt a bit forgotten as our server did forget to bring one of our dishes, we had to ask for our dessert menus twice, and we were accidentally served two basque cheesecakes instead of our order of cheesecake and créme brûlée. The staff were friendly, and quickly brought out the correct desserts at the end. I'd recommend ordering more dishes at once so you can enjoy more food in between orders. Would definitely come back again to try the rest of their menu. We wanted to try the Japanese sweet potato but they had sold out that night. The oysters, sashimi, and udon also looked quite good!

Nice interior, and was waited on quickly. My waitress brought water, and took my order for green tea. It came quickly, a full mug, and a lovely little cast iron teapot with a second serving. Good tea, too! I ordered the nine piece Hamachi sashimi (on a diet... no carbs, lol)! I was brought a six piece... and let the waitress know that. Told her the six piece would be fine for now. Lovely presentation, and the hamachi was beautiful. Fresh too, no fishy odor and the color was good. It was delicious. I would eat here again!

Today I went and got a 'Caterpillar' roll and 'Day Dreamer' roll. Let me break it down for you. Caterpillar roll: AMAZING 10/10. I love sushi and this is a go to roll for me NO MATTER WHAT. This roll is always good, but Sushi Pure makes it amazing, the taste, texture, and fulfillment it brings is unmatched. Day Dreamer roll: Very Solid 7.75/10. This roll had me in a chokehold for a second. That's neither bad or a good thing. The taste all around was very good, but the texture through me off (more personal problem, so many of you may love this). It was like soft, then crunchy, then popping due to the fish egg. All around I would recommend, but it may not be for everyone. The servers I've had both times have always been so kind, quick moving, and motivated so the service is unmatched as well. All in all, Sushi Pure is a must try with an amazing atmosphere!

Wasabi - like, real wasabi! I kept dabbing in my mouth never having tasted it before. It's both spicier on the front of your tongue and more luxurious on the back. I want more. The fried chicken bao was unfugging, unbelievably delicious. Can we say unfugging on Yelp? We got the Mrs V roll - spicy tuna topped with seared beef. Again, buttery with Rich beef and tuna that's actually spicy. Excellent roll This was an elegant, refined and completely delicious experience. We will definitely be back.

I first discovered this restaurant on Yelp about five years ago while visiting my parents who had…read morerecently moved to Eugene, Oregon from Marin County, the suburb of San Francisco. I'm a vegetarian but love vegetarian sushi, and my dad loves seafood and having both been Bay Area natives are used to really quality Japanese food (my mom who doesn't care for sushi or tofu but is a Karage chicken aficionado!). For whatever reason, including COVID and not taking many trips from the Bay Area to Eugene, we were finally able to dine at Akira on May 1, 2026. Thankfully, the food was excellent and didn't disappoint despite the five year wait! A must try as a starter is the Moyashi aka mung bean sprouts - pickled w/soy sauce or tamari, vinegar (?), microgreens & sesame seeds. The dish had a light spice, and may have had shichimi togarashi added. For vegetarians, I highly recommend the Donburi Yasai - $27. The Donburi Yasai it is definitely a large portion for one or even two people. In my opinion, the dish is to be shared amongst two or many at the table. The tofu wedges was one of the best tofu presentations I've ever had. My only complaint is that I never received a knife to which would've been helpful to cut the tofu especially the large pieces of asparagus and lotus root however, I did OK with my chopsticks for everything (with the exception of the asparagus). I also believe the dish required a dipping sauce option such as the karage chicken aïoli which was on the table and excellent with the tofu. Alternatively, a Ponzu sauce option, made in house or even Marukan Sudachi citrus ponzu would've been fine (for those who have a love on ponzu sauce but don't make it themselves, I highly recommend Marukan, a store bought brand). I also wanted to try some vegetarian sushi or even inari, but without the restaurant having Ponzu, I did not order as I do not like to use plain soy sauce with sushi and always substitute Ponzu when eating at Japanese restaurants. The Donburi Yasai dish also had what I later upon looking at my local grocery store believed to be cauliflower mushroom (however I may be incorrect) a very unusual type of mushroom in the dish that was almost seaweed like, delicious and surprising in the dish. Again, the fried tofu wedges were nothing shy of exceptional. The tofu wedges should also be served like the karage chicken as an appetizer or small plate that you can order as a standalone dish with the aioli. Vegetarians would come flocking to the restaurant for the fried tofu alone! Also ordered the salmon, avocado roll, and I had the miso soup served as a larger portion than I'm used to w/seaweed, tofu & mushrooms. I forgot to take pictures of the miso soup as I was starving and waited about 20-25 minutes after our first dish Moyashi and second item, my miso soup was served. That said the soup was divine some of the best I've had and ultimately well worth the wait. Side note, like my fixation on ponzu, I love shichimi togarashi especially in my miso soup (rest assured chefs, I always taste the soup as is before adding this delightful seasoning/condiment) after some back and forth, and a $1.00 charge I was given a tiny side of said spice! To be fair, Akira does state and mean it with their NO SUBSTITUTIONS policy but to me no togarashi shichimi with miso soup is like fries w/o ketchup! ;) They also have an absolute NO to go condiments or condiment containers policy. That I state as just an unusual fact without judgement or personal commentary. Anyways, as a vegetarian, I don't eat chicken, but was told that the Manju chicken buns and Karage chicken were absolutely excellent and some of the best fried chicken dishes my parents had ever had in their lifetime! My mom had just celebrated her 80th birthday so this is quite the statement especially considering she is a Karage chicken aficionado! I did notice that the karage chicken, like Yasai Donburi was a very large portion specially for the $15.00 price point. Despite the parentals best efforts, they had leftovers which were enjoyed at home. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant as one of the very best restaurants in Eugene (likely top 3-4 restaurants in the Eugene/Springfied area) and I believe Akira would stand up to some of the best Japanese restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you've never been to Akira and live in the area, you MUST try this place ASAP if you're visiting from anywhere in the country or outside the country, you must visit this restaurant when visiting. I truly cannot recommend this restaurant anymore highly whether it be for vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat eaters alike!
