Kyron was a fantastic server. He seemed genuinely happy that we were there. My French Crepe had good insides [mushrooms, bacon, etc] & topped with a sherry sauce. We had a really nice meal on our day trip to the Oregon coast. We were looking for a nice Sunday brunch spot. We started with coffee and one had a spicy Bloody Mary. The coffee was really good and our son enjoyed his bloody. I ordered two eggs with Cajun sausage, others got the Florentine crepe, beef fajitas breakfast bowl, and the blueberry pancakes. The food came out very quickly. Eggs were cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the spicy sausage. My wife loved here crepe. Others enjoyed their breakfast. We were looking for something better than the hotel breakfast and what found was so much better that it was in a league of its own. This is a relatively compact space but didn't feel confining, more cozy than anything. Our server was super sweet and very accommodating. The coffee she br ought was from a Portland roaster. It was a nice breakfast blend that complimented our meal well. CFS was BOMB with a gravy that was NOT from a can!! My wife ordered the Florentine breakfast crepe that was phenomenal. Tender crepe, well filled, with a white béchamel sauce. Only minor complaints were the meat filing had some chewy bits and I needed more sausage gravy. Still worth 5 stars in book! read more

I want to give this place a 1000 star rating for their cleanliness. The place was clean in the entry, dining area & restrooms. We waited and watched FIVE other parties who came after us get fed. The waitress IGNORED us and I finally got up and asked where our food was. She said that they had forgotten to make my crepe and that they only had one crepe machine. Shortly after she brought the food and again stated that they only had one machine. I told her that all she'd needed to do was come and SAY that it was coming and apologize for the delay. Her response: "I didn't know that I had to explain the workings of a restaurant to a customer who...." At which time we got up and walked out. What an absolute CRAP thing to say to a customer. My husband and I have been back to Fresh Harvest Cafe several times since we moved here in April. The food is so good! They frequently have specials which we have both enjoyed, and their menu is full of tempting, delicious items. The staff is warm and friendly and very attentive. One specific item I highly recommend is their Signature Drink, "Oregon Harvest". It's a very rich mocha drink with hints of blackberry and hazelnut. Almost a meal in itself. Certainly could count as dessert, but also pairs beautifully with their omelets and crêpes. read more

The local family member that we are required to visit on occasion will come here because they are willing to deal with her Covid paranoia (despite 5 vaccines) and sit her in a special area. That said, here we are again. The salmon was so salty it wasn't really edible. The cheeseburger had barely cooked chewy (gross) bacon and super greasy. Two stars for servers for putting up with our relative and letting her sit in a back corner where the servers pick up food. They are known for breakfast fare primarily. read more

This place is as 'local' as local can be! We came in at the Sunday rush and had to wait for a table, no big deal, the wait wasn't very long. The place was packed so the food must be good. The atmosphere is of a house converted to a restaurant with quite a few booths. The staff was very amiable, friendly, worked well together... it was refreshing to see a group who worked so well together. It almost looked like a choreographed dance routine the way they communicated and moved around each other. They were very busy yet collected and coordinated. Our initial server was getting so busy that another stepped up to help out and we were taken care of. I had the Philly sandwich with fries. The fries were a shoestring variety. The Philly was prepared on a hoagie roll and not cut in half, perfect! The amount of meat, onions, cheese and bell pepper was so generous that it was overflowing the hoagie roll. The flavors were spot on with my view of what a Philly should be, so I was very satisfied with what I received and the amount I got. The crepes are incredibly good as well. We had a Bacon, Mushroom Ricotta crepe that was huge! The bacon was well cooked and the mushrooms were freshly prepared. The Ricotta cheese lended and interesting flavor addition. The Oregon Berry Crepe was also very generous in size and half of it had to come home with us. I'm not sure what I appreciate more, the delicious and generous portions or how well the team works together and how cool they all are under pressure! Well done! Breakfast grease pit. Asked for water and was served in a warm glass with no ice. All other customers got ice in their water. Breakfast eggs & potatoes were floating in grease. Potatoes were spongey. Burnt English muffin. When we asked how our meal was we told the waitress it was horrible. The Mgr told us it wasn't grease but butter. We told him TOO MUCH. He turned away & grumbled to himself back to the kitchen. The customer next to us also complained his pancakes weren't cooked inside. Enter at your own risk! read more

We like going to Fresh Harvest. However, this time convinced my wife to never order the chicken fried steak for breakfast ever again. It was burnt, and hardly any gravy. I could tell she was not happy but she did not want to bring it up. I ordered a Oregon harvest espresso. It came out on a plate with espresso spilled all over the cup and sat in a puddle of espresso. It was hard to drink because I had to dodge espresso dripping on me. My Florentine crepe was as awesome as can be! I felt bad for my wife. As it turns out, I felt sorry for myself because I had to get a to go box for my crepe. As a husband, I can't sit there enjoying mine while my wife did not like hers. I visited Fresh Harvest Tuesday afternoon because they serve a tasty late breakfast. We were escorted to a patio table and left with menus and a promise to inform wait staff assigned to our table that we were there. While waiting an unusually long period for service, I noticed a senior couple seated next to us. The woman kept opening her sandwich as if looking for something. Staff came over to her and there was an exchange. Next, a man came out, pulled up a chair next to her, and she told him there was only one prawn on the sandwich. He leaned in, claimed he made the sandwich himself and he put 4 on it. She asked him if he was calling her a liar and he retorted with, "Are you calling me a liar?" It reminded me of a prior experience last year there when my husband ordered an item, but was brought the wrong item. The wait staff argued with him and said there would be an extra charge since he was wrong. However, there were three other people present who heard my husband's order, including myself, and the wait staff was wrong. It was the same arrogant attitude with this man, but we chalked it up to inexperienced staff. However, this second one was enough for me. I grabbed my belongings and as I exited the restaurant I let the man know that he had lost a customer over a couple prawns. His answer to me was, "That's OK". I found out later that he is the owner. I now understand the prior confrontation: the staff is only as good as the owner wants them to be! Like owner, like staff!! read more

This place offers a unique menu for breakfast, and more traditional fare for lunch. The restaurant opens early and closes at two in the afternoon. Again, focusing on breakfast as a mainstay offering a wide variety of egg and pancake dishes. We live about five minutes from Fresh Harvest, and have visited many times over the past few years. Sadly, we have experienced a decline in customer service post-Covid. We actually had a server deny what was ordered instead of owning a mistake in recording the order. We gave the place another try today (Tuesday) about 1 in the afternoon. Asking for outdoor seating sent a server to the patio to "check" for a table - she never returned to seat us. Once it was discovered we were still waiting for a table, we were hustled to a spot in the corner of the glassed-in patio. So far, so good. After about ten minutes, it became clear that no server had been alerted that we were seated, and were waiting to place our order. I observed several servers clearing tables around us, but none seemed interested in interacting with us. For the price point they demand, I felt the level of service fell short, I asked my wife to find an alternative place to eat. As we were leaving, we observed a staff member locked in conversation with a diner regarding the number of prawns placed on her sandwich. Again, instead of graciously accepting (what may -or may not) have been a mistake, there was a tone of arrogance and confrontation. That was enough for us. No matter how wonderful the menu, or how comfortable the atmosphere - customer service is paramount. This place seems to have forgotten this. Give it a pass, at least until the staff can understand what impressions they are leaving on the people who support them. Incidentally, we mentioned to the staff member who was arguing about prawns, that we would not be returning. His comment to us was "that's okay- we don't need you". Dismal. Update: The owner of the restaurant reached out to me personally. Evidently it was the owner who was arguing with the diner about the sandwich. He defended his position about how he prepared the sandwich - apparently he believed the diner was attempting to get more prawns. I doubt this to be the case from two well dressed senior citizens. In his response to me, he complained about diners attempting to get free food. He claimed that he did not say "we don't need you" to us on our way out - perhaps. Since he has not offered any apology for us being ignored by his staff, or the other various issues that send the clear message that customers don't matter, he really didn't have to say it. Instead, he defended how his staff treated us, and felt that our wait time was reasonable. I agree, although I draw issue with being totally ignored. No excuse for that. At any time, a server could have at least acknowledged us. He shared a story of waiting in line for an hour at a drive through restaurant only to be told they had sold out of the food item he was trying to buy. He did not share if he ever returned to that restaurant after that experience. I would not go back to that place either. I am sympathetic to the challenges of operating a restaurant, particularly in these times. Part of that responsibility includes setting a tone that encourages business by providing guidelines that demonstrate a true concern for customer satisfaction. After reading his response, it is no wonder why I felt patronized and eventually dismissed when I visited his restaurant. To be clear, I (we) have enjoyed eating at this venue many times. My most recent visit was less than I had hoped for- so poor that we left before ordering. Evidently my patronage is not appreciated - I believe I understood him to say that we were not needed - however, I retract that statement. He really didn't have to say it. An understanding of how to treat customers, and how to accommodate those who feel slighted with courtesy seems to be missing from this owners management style (indeed, adding a percentage to the menu goes a long way to offset the couple of prawns that may need to be given away from time to time. No one would be the wiser). I will not return, there are other options that care about my experience. Makes both of us happy. Take your chances, expect pedestrian service, a tone of indifference and a generally broad breakfast menu. read more

On an Oregon Coast road trip, we hit lunch time in Florence. A bit of Yelp-ing brought us to the Fresh Harvest Cafe. A busy parking lot suggested some popularity, a masked wait-person with a pleasant greeting led us to a socially-distanced table. Menus and silverware came quickly and our orders were taken in short order. Our meal - a Bloody Mary for her, the fish and chips, and a shrimp basket - was decent. All was correctly cooked, nothing really stood out. And honestly, this would be a solid four-star review if not for a glaring issue. One of their cooks - we were seated right next to the kitchen - was intermittently either wearing his mask with his nose exposed or not wearing it at all. Seriously - in this day and age, and in this specific environment, NO ONE should be so cavalier with the lives of others. Regardless, the review of the service and the food shouldn't otherwise suffer. read more

Service is always excellent and prompt. I've been many times for breakfast (delicious!) but today was my first time for lunch. I had the prawn melt on sourdough and it was delicious!
