I cannot believe we had not tried this restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small quaint place the atmosphere the music, the decor super fun lively got a Hawaiian theme[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Jasmine she was very nice and did a great job of taking care of us Make sure we had what we needed and she was really busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were packed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Then the food came out completely blown away so delicious and plated so pretty ,we end up sharing we got the teriyaki chicken the shrimp and then it came with rice and Hawaiian Mac . they had Ginger and Thai basil to garnish and it went so good with it also came with a dipping sauce yum. I wish I could have it right now Drinks were really good. Husband got the tea. It was pretty strong, but it was he was OK with that because we were walking. We were staying in Florence. We need something like that here in Eugene. I can't wait to go back. Next time We're going to try sushi and probably get a plate too.Go check out this gem!

This place was delicious. They accommodated us sitting outside, but we had to remind someone we were out there waiting to be served. I had the spam musubi, which is a must try if you come here. The Ahi poke was also fresh and delicious.

Cute place Nice sized menu - lots to choose from Staff seems lovely Big money California roll 5/5 Ice cold beer House fried rice- was very savory, but not a good choice for me. Seemed too busy-- but I recognize others may love it!! Decor seems fun !

Great vibes, music, bar, staff and food. It's a small place with beach shack vibes, walls and ceiling colorfully decorated with surfboard, flags and other treasures. Especially nice to see a reconstituted sovereign flag flying. The wait was a bit long but it was so worth it. I really recommend the Mai tai and Pele's chicken. Generous portions and great grill flavor. The staff really made the place shine. Mahalo!

My friends and I had lunch at the Hukilau and enjoyed it. The portions were gigantic and filling, and my order came with ribs and prawns. It was a little bit on the expensive side, but so was everything else in that region. The interior of the restaurant made you feel like you were in Hawaii - it had surfing decor and a surf town vibe to it. The service was good - the food came fast!

The food is exceptionally good! It's a tiny place but has a bar for those who want it. Service was slow but worth the wait.

Great place to stop for some Hawaiian fusion grub! Definitely a place I would visit again when I'm in the area.

    Do they allow dogs?

Yes, what Justin said. The patio is small, but at least there is one. And Christian and his family…

Is anything on the menu paleo (i.e. gluten-free, soy-free, sugar-free)?

They have a gluten free menu also.

We had the crab cakes appetizer. I had a salmon dinner, my husband the sirloin tips. Our meals were very good. We had delicious desserts à la mode, one was like a moist chocolate brownie with Icecream and strawberries, one a fruit creme brûlée. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. He took our anniversary photo for us. We will like to come back again. Only other comment I'd give is that the stand alone tables, inside, seemed rather close quartered when all seats were used. There is seating outside but it was rather windy the evening we went so we ate inside.

We will return when summer winds down. So, please give them some grace.) My earlier post: First of all, we did make reservations since it is summer and quite busy this time of year; and let me say I have been to Kismets three times before and I was very happy. We have recommended it to several people we know, and brought our friends to dine last night, July 2nd. We were so disappointed. And we were embarrassed, having talked it up to our friends. Things started out okay; our waitress seemed young and possibly inexperienced, but we were okay with her lack of personality (no smile, no enthusiasm.) We had wonderful Brussels sprouts appetizer and the sushi roll was perfect, very beautiful to look at and equally delicious. I won't fault the guy who made them. But to begin with, we were given the small containers of wasabi and pickled ginger and chopsticks but no individual plates to enjoy the appetizers or sushi, and our waitress was not anywhere to be found for at least half an hour, but probably more. Our dinner finally arrived one hour and twenty five minutes after we had been seated. It was mostly good, but the huge lag in time and apparent indifference of our waitress really took the shine off the entire experience. My kismet tips had lovely flavor but was not evenly hot; for instance, some of the mushrooms were cool to lukewarm. My greatest gripe is the absolutely terrible service though. I cannot comprehend how the owner could be present in that room the entire time we were there and hardly looked at us at all and apparently was unaware of how poorly we were treated. (Was our order lost? why on earth did it take so long to be served?)

But today I went upscale to the crab cake dinner, the most expensive item on the menu. Disappointing; the crab was essentially AWOL. Worse, I was given one flimsy plastic fork that broke during the meal (replaced with another plastic fork and a metal knife). The meal included an excellent salad, sharing a too-small plate with the crab cakes. Stick with the finger food (fish and chips, tacos) and you will be happy. (Except for the overpriced beer, @ $8.50/glass. At least it doesn't come in a paper cup.)

The salmon was the best one. It was flavorful and tender. I liked the halibut too because it was very clean tasting and flaky. The albacore was forgettable. The texture was mushier and tasted fishier. Even with the subpar albacore, the whole meal was great. The fries were thick and fluffy. I appreciated that they were generous with the ketchup and tartar sauce. I also liked that despite this being a fried dish, it didn't feel greasy or heavy. It's not cheap, but I think it's worth it. Service was friendly. This is a great place to visit when you're in town!

We were told that Ona was the chef's restaurant and wanted to come check it out. Appearance - We recommend sitting outside on their patio. Since it was cool they had the heaters running and on warmer days they can open up the garage doors. Taste - I ordered the crab cakes and that is what is truly giving this a 5/5!! I wish I ordered more. They were so yummy! I also got a bowl of the clam chowder that was great. My husband ordered the albacore steak sandwich and said it had a large piece of fish with good seasoning but mentioned he wouldn't order it again. We happened to be there during happy hour and wanted to try oysters for the first time. Let's just say it was a taste of the ocean and will be our last :/ Oysters are just not for us! I've heard that oysters can be seasoned and spruced up to help add more flavor, but these were not. I wonder if it would have helped us enjoy them more?

That's when I saw the 20% gratuity added on our to-go order. We drove back to the hotel and ate our meals. The pork chop was decent but overpriced. The mashed potatoes were very bland and runny. The fries were too thin and tough. The burger was acceptable but overpriced as well. I wonder if the food would have tasted better if we dined in. Overall, it was an okay and overpriced experience.
