We were visiting the sea lion caves nearby and decided to drop by here and grab some lunch. We went as a group of 8 on a Friday afternoon and were able to get seated immediately. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was well-decorated. We got the crispy calamari, fish and chips, mushroom steak, and their goat cheese cheesecake. The crispy calamari was a personal favorite; the calamari tasted fresh and had a great texture, while the batter was so light and crunchy. Pair it with the remoulade they give you and it's perfect! The standout for the fish and chips was how crispy and light the batter was. I liked the steak and the mushroom cream sauce but was not the biggest fan of the mashed potatoes. If you are a fan of goat cheese, you will love the cheesecake. I felt as if the portion of the proteins could've been more for the price we paid but all in all, I was satisfied with how fast and delightful the service and ambience of Nosh was. P.S. I ordered the salmon plate which was amazing! My husband had the fish and chips! He said it was the best fish and chips that he had our whole trip. We had stopped at two other places that he also ordered their fish and chips yet Nosh's was the best, fresh, generous portions and most reasonably priced as well! Last year when we traveled the coast, we had found this sweet little place and he took me back this trip, remembering how much I enjoyed the amazing way they served up my seafood dinner. Avoid this place--terrible service. We tried having lunch here on June 29th and had a bizarrely awful experience. After being seated with menus and water, we were completely ignored. We watched multiple parties arrive after us and have their orders taken. Even worse, the waitress made eye contact with us several times from across the room but never came over. The breaking point was when she literally squeezed between our table and the one next to us to take their order without saying a single word to us. We finally got up and walked out. We were staying in Florence and found this cute eatery in the old town. We should have gotten reservations for our group of 8 but it was a last minute decision which they ended up fitting us in but we were split between inside and outside seating. We ordered the cheese curds and fried artichokes for appetizers. The sauce that came with the cheese curds was better with the fried artichokes. I think because it was herby and fresh tasting and didn't weigh down the artichoke flavor that the spicy chipotle dip did. I ordered the veggie roll and was a little disappointed that the seasonal vegetables that came in it were mostly carrots, broccoli, and butternut squash. I got a few pieces of roasted brusselsprouts leaves which were delicious and I wanted more of that. I wish there were some interesting veggies in it. Also thought the pesto needed a bit more flavor and it probably would have been great with a green goddess topping instead. My husband got the fish and chips with halibut. I thought the beer batter was great and a strong flavor on the fish. The capper remoulade was pretty amazing especially with the fish. Our server was nice and pleasant. The food came out at a good pace, especially with the kids food Mac and cheese coming out with the appetizers. Florence has to be on of my favorite coastal towns to visit. Its proximity to Eugene makes day trips to this perfect little beach town a breeze and the town's never short of cute shops to visit. One of those cute shops is undoubtedly Nosh Eatery. With plenty of vegetarian options that are actually good, I can safely say that this place is vegetarian friendly. I spent dinner time here with a vegetarian and a meat eater, who were both happy with the options provided for their different diets. This is a meal I still think about sometimes. The cheese curds were light and fluffy, the kung-pao cauliflower was perfectly crispy, and the salad had some of the freshest greens I've had at a restaurant. Our food was brought to us by cheerful staff who were great to have a conversation with. I don't think I can ever bring myself to try a different restaurant the next time I'm in Florence. I went here for lunch with my friends today and it was a treat. We had to wait for about 15 minutes because it was crazy busy but it was well worth the wait. When we got seated we took some time with the menu and then the server came and took our orders. I got the mac and cheese with a side of fries. Others got the mac and cheese, bread and pesto, lobster roll, and halibut fish and chips. I also got a mango lemonade. All of the food was absolutely delicious! We all cleared our plates and were stuffed but still ordered dessert - one slice of cheesecake and one lava cake. Both were so good. The cheesecake was rich and creamy and the lava cake was rich and hot. The restaurant was clean and had decent seating. They had pretty quick turnover even though it was a crazy busy day. The bathrooms were clean and gender-neutral. The last bathroom is also a ride. I won't spoil it but you just gotta go in. I promise nothing in the world could ever prepare you for it. read more

My favorite restaurant in Florence! Only complaint is they aren't open 7 days a week. Thats a great complaint. It means I'd eat there everyday if I had the money. Salmon bowl is amazing. Drinks strong when I want to indulge. I'd just skip the donut balls... had them twice and it's just not great. Very dry - others seem to like them so it may be a my tastebud thing. I had a kids fish & chips. The food was great although only 1 piece of fish & lots of fries. My partner had the steak with a mushroom sauce, which was delicious. The service was friendly & prompt, although the place was rather busy. Prices are a bit pricey. We attempted a second d visit to this place when my son visited. They were out of several of there menu items. We went to the Firehouse a few doors down & had great food & service. Due to Nosh being pricey& out of many items, im on the fence with whether I will eat there again. The ambience was really cool with fine details such as the cute flowers on each table. Wow this place is amazing! I ordered the halibut green salad with avocado and green goddess dressing. It tasted so fresh and halibut was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the halibut tacos and he was very pleased. You do not need reservations and it's not as packed and noisy as Waterfront. Service was excellent as well. Stopped in for a dinner on a short vacation to the Oregon Coast...and found another restaurant gem in the small town of Florence. I went with the Flat Iron steak stack...it was a flat iron cooked to preference on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, onion straws and Rogue Bleu cheese. This was really very good and quite filling. The wife went with the sesame halibut -- pan roasted in a sesame glaze with kale and shallots and coconut rice...also delicious. This place has a very small storefront on the main street and is easy to miss...but worth the visit. read more

The menu has salads, plant dishes, some seafood but most is too big for lunch except fried dishes. So close to the ocean, I would expect more non fried lunch selections. Came here for dinner on a saturday evening. There were seats at the bar but no where else. Got a caesar salad and the nosh salmon plate. Caesar salad was decent but the brussel sprouts they added were baked so it clashed with the cold leaves of the salad. They were cooked well though and the salad itself was fresh. I also felt like the dressing was as strong as I expected it to be even though the salad was covered in it. The salmon plate was also just okay, the fish itself was oddly hard so maybe it wasn't cooked correctly but there was a nice crust on the skin. The mashed potatoes weren't that special. Nosh actually ended up being our fourth choice after some unsuccessful tries elsewhere and just settling for take out. I got the ribs with Brussels. It was good but something was missing. I can't put my finger on it though. Needed something fresh or acidic maybe. Definitely tasty. I also think they should do starch and Brussels I appreciate the portion size of Brussels but could easily have shared with a starch. My wife got the cauliflower. This was quite a meal. Now this had all the requisite flavor components that the ribs didn't. She was very pleased and didn't really come close to finishing. We got the marionberry cheesecake. Delicious but very heavy. First time visiting Nosh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant is small and cozy. We had to move tables because of the very loud and obnoxious "Ladies Night" group seating next to us. They were in competition with each other to see who could talk the loudest. The staff apologized for the behavior, but it was not their fault, it was the group's fault. I had the lentil soup for appetizer based on recommendation from out waitress, She was right, it was very tasty. My wife had the fish and chips (halibut). Very light and flaky fish. The fries were tasty and hot, they had an incredible flavor mix over the top, very tasty. I had the Fish tacos (halibut). Again very light and flaky. The green goddess sauce was a new flavor for me. We decided to get our order to go. We're staying at an AirBnB across the street. Service was pretty fast, 15 minutes and the order was ready to go. They packed everything in a recyclable paper bag. By the time we arrive to our place, across the street the food was still hot. We ordered the macaroni and cheese with a side of pork verde, halibut and chips and an order of donut holes with raspberry jelly. We started munching on the donut holes. They are best when eaten hot. They were perfectly fried and tossed in cinnamon sugar. The outside had a nice crunch and the inside was warm and moist. Almost cake consistency. When dipped in the raspberry jelly...to die for. What a beautiful combination. The halibut was huge. They gave us very generous portions, three pieces to be exact. Light and flaky crust, with hot flaky halibut cooked to perfection. A little oil on the fingers from the fryer but nothing notable. Their version of tarter sauce was next level. It would take me some time to put into words the taste. You'll have to try it yourself, soooooo good. Served with crispy fries. The macaroni and cheese was creamy creamy creamy. My first bite was a sharp cheddar forward bite. Not sure what kind of noodles but they weren't your regular noodles. The pork verde was flavorful with a nice little kick. We chose to get it on the side so we could enjoy the full flavor for the Mac & cheese. Overall, this is an excellent eatery delivering a fantastic culinary experience. read more

Fun and friendly service and surprisingly sophisticated and delicious food. My husband had the black cod and named this place his now favourite restaurant.
